    Wanted the brilliant... Beautiful color! Also thought the auto suction setting would have been useful. Glad to hear you say it's pointless, so now I don't miss it. I ended up with the red version with the extended warranty and all the tools you showed there. Very happy with it. Love your informative videos! They helped me figure out which vacuum to buy. Thank you!

    My Red Velvet is starting to act it’s age…… but it has been good to me for over 15 years. I have been thinking about going to the Brilliance. The RV still picks up good on bare floor and low pile, but the small plastic parts are starting to break on the telescoping wand. It’s a excellent vacuum with a shedding cat in the house.

    We’ve owned a Miele Marin for about 7 years. Unquestionably the best vac we’ve ever owned. A few repair issues along the way, but- we could always get parts. Not the case with other brands
    Would love to pick up a nice used UniQ or Brilliant sometime.
    Suggestion. Can you do a video on how to repair a hose where power is intermittent?
    Love the vids. Keep it up.

    I was debating between this and the C3 Marin and ultimately went with the Marin because of the lack of digital handle which I find to be simply unnecessary, also the XL Parquet which might make it harder to get between furniture and is apparently a little less efficient due to its larger size. Great job, I’ve watched a few of your videos and found them very helpful, thanks.

    Seems identical to their earlier Uni-Q save for Uni's velvet lining in tool caddy area. Nice vacuum in any case. FYI I did change my Uni castors wheels to their dynamic castors that ride smoother (odd those aren't on the top end vac). Interesting wrt the auto setting: Miele mentioned elsewhere that auto was supposed to increase airflow over bare floors .vs. carpets so if you are using SEB236 it'll increase air flow when you move from carpet to tile (have verified this)....granted, SEB236's not best tool for bare floors !

    I think the Sebo Felix is more appropriate for my needs (also includes the good parquet brush by default), but I've been enjoying looking at the D4 and Miele C3 reviews. Very nice vacuums from both, but I am leaning heavily toward the more practical and easier for a non technician to maintain D4 or Felix. Less cost up front (at least compared to some C3 models) and down the road, though the extra features of the higher end C3s like this one are really neat.

    Can you please do a detailed comparison test between Miele C3 Brilliant & Sebo D4 Premier?
    After watching all your & others video, I recently bought Sebo D4 with Premium Parquet Brush: 7200GS.
    Even though the filter difference is marginal, I would love if Sebo could offer a HEPA filter. That’s the only thing I feel the Sebo lacks.

    I have the Miele c3 Marin and I Absolutely love it, I’ve had it for 7 years and it’s working amazing. Although I wish I could get this new Miele brilliant I recently just replaced the hose and the powerhead, I’ve owned every premium vacuum like Sebo, Riccar, the bank vault, rainbow, Kirby, Oreck and I’ve also tried all the shitty ones that target sells and the Miele JUST DOSE THE JOB. Its quiet, powerful, lightweight and so convenient to use. I always recommend it and always will. Thanks for an amazing video. You said you owned a Kirby. This is where I am at right now. I have owned several Kirby's over the last 30 years and am looking at switching to Miele Brilliant Vac. Would love to hear your thoughts since you have owned the Kirby. I like my Kirby's, but find them very heavy and thinking the canister may be easier. Thank you

    • @walter7994
      @walter7994 Рік тому

      @@lifeslittleluxury3541 hi yes. Kirby vacuums do a really good job at making you feel like they do a good job. If you don’t know what that means is basically that when you adjust it to the right hight it growls and it feels like it has incredible carpet cleaning but in reality it dosnt. It has very weak suction which why I own it, it sometimes wouldn’t be able to pic up little bits of cereal. The Miele is so much nicer because it’s so much more felexible in the fact that you can vacuum carpets and then just quickly switch to the floor attachment in less then 3 seconds. It has incredible airflow and it just overall dose a very nice job. The real question is how much money are you willing to put on a vacuum that will last you like 20 years, what flooring do you have, what’s the sq ft of the house, and do you have animals.

    • @troyhickman8577
      @troyhickman8577 7 місяців тому

      @@walter7994 Not completely accurate. Our home is just under 6000sqft with miles of carpet, porcelain tile and hardwood. We have this same Miele vacuum, a Miele U1 upright, a OVO central vac (700 air watts), and a Kirby Avalir 2. I purchased a dirt meter for the Kirby to see what the other vacs are leaving behind on carpet. It's my understanding that when using a dirt meter on the Kirby the vacuum is only operating at 15% efficiency compared to when using the bag. For deep cleaning of thick high pile carpeting, nothing I have cleans better than the Kirby end of story! The other vacuums do not have the massive airflow nor the carpet agitation compared to the Kirby. The central vac is great for fast vacuuming of the carpet and to get under furniture, but not for deep cleaning. The Miele would be my last pick for high pile carpet. They all have strengths and weaknesses but I would never be without my Kirby for high pile carpet. Nor would I part with the Miele's or OVO for most other tasks. It just comes down to the task at hand.

Bags rule!!, did you ever own a bagless Dyson in particular, the machine gets so filthy you have to break down machine with special bits that not every cleaner has periodically; yuk and time consuming . This machine is the best I have used period

    It looks nice and all but I think I rather have something more simplistic and utilitarian like a Sebo D4.
    I can see though how it would appeal to the posh people.

    • @LlyleHunter
      @LlyleHunter Рік тому +3

      There are less decorated models like the Kona and the Marin that have the same type of equipment without all of the jewelry like the lights on the canister’s base and remote control on the handle.
      The Sebo’s motor is made to last twice as long and many parts can be changed at home like the plug and wire on the hose that goes to the powerhead and of course the powerhead with the easily removable brush roll. That’s because Sebo is a commercial vacuum manufacturer and many businesses do as much of their own work on their equipment as possible so they don’t have to sent their equipment out for repairs.
      However Miele canisters are lighter in weight and are easier to operate ergonomically. They are a little quieter and the motors run a little cooler and heat your rooms up less.

    For me, the C3 Brilliant is the most beautiful of all Miele's BUT... I would be worried about that gorgeous matte Porsche paint on the body. Sure, it's durable but it can't be as durable as the glossy finishes. It would be great if the body could be replaced when it gets too beaten up. Though I take care of my vacuum cleaners, not everyone in my household does.

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  Рік тому +1

      That is definitely a concern. However the way this is painted it's bonded to the plastic and is held up much better than previous models that were "Plasti dip" painted. The other colors are done during the molding process you can always get a red home care with the same specs if you're really worried about that.

      @@PerformanceReviews I have a white Miele S528, made in 2002. After all these years the white molded plastic looks amazing. Hasn't yellowed either. White isn't my favorite color but I read, way back when, that Miele's molded black plastic shows scratches easily so I chose white. Still, the Bronze/Pearl finish on the C3 Brilliant is sexier than sin.

    It's amazing to me that Miele puts so little information on their website. Nowhere do they mention the velvet bumper on this one. When you use their compare tool on the website they don't show all the differences between the C3's. I might have bought a more expensive one had I known all the reasons why it was more expensive. I did buy mine from a local vacuum shop, but I walked in knowing what exact version I wanted, apparently without all the information.
