How I Optimised My Zinc Levels Without Taking Zinc Supplements

- I took high doses of zinc supplements for a year but my zinc levels didn't budge. I had no idea what else i could do! And then I stumbled upon research connecting zinc and copper, which finally solved my health riddle. Zinc tally test now shows that my zinc levels are optimal, there are no white spots on my nails, and I don't suffer from hangnails anymore. This information changed my life!
#zinc #mineralimbalance #copper
I got my extra copper either from liquid chlorophyll (contains 4mg of copper: amzn.to/2jB3cjH) or from a chelated copper supplement (3mg, amzn.to/2jclYBK).
Here's how to test your zinc levels at home: • How To Test Your Zinc ...

Super, .... interestingly copper is found in vitamin C that is natural vitamin C .... not just ascorbic acid ....
There's no copper in Vitamin C, where did you hear that? Morley Robbins? I don't know what he means with that nonsense. Of course fruit contains copper but not the Vitamin C (which is just another name for ascorbic acid) molecule.
Also chlorophyll contains magnesium, not copper, it's chlorophyllin that contains copper, but that is a man-made substance.

I wasn't able to wrap my head around the idea that people stopping zinc supplementation and getting copper were able to raise their zinc levels (I have heard this in other forums). Then I read that the protein carrier metallothionein which is stimulated by taking zinc can bind up zinc along with copper, so that would explain why taking zinc is counter intuitive when trying to raise zinc levels. It makes me wonder if zinc supplements are not more of a problem than people know. I personally have stopped my zinc supps and am trying to just get adequate amounts from food, along with food form copper.
Oh! Thanks for that!
birage so, did you raise your zinc level by stopping zinc and increasing copper? Didn't I see you on Dr. Berg?
Zinc+full spectrum of minerals including copper.
Most health food stores that offer mineral supplements use the ratios found in nature. I believe 1 serving of Oysters is 15mg of zinc and 1mg of copper. A lot of people who only take zinc are eating animal protein everyday(bioavailable copper)
@@runzization so are you saying that people who only eat animal protein are deficient in zinc... I don’t eat animal protein by the way just curious???
@@zealbell7817 No not at all animal sources especially organ meat are bioavailable copper, zinc, selenium, iron. I don't have the luxury to always eat top quality meat and with our depleted soils one could be deficient. If you ever test low on a certain B vitamin you would always want to follow it with the rest of the B complex as taking one without the other would deplete the rest.
This synergistic relationship applies to minerals as well. If you supplement with Zinc make sure to take the rest of Trace minerals at a later time so you don't have a deficiency in others. **I'm not a doctor just studied Orthomolecular medicine*

Loveee this, your videos are coming out in aawesome synchronicity with me. I've been struggling with hair loss since high school, along with irregular cycles, to now not having had a period for almost a year.. two days ago my doctor finally found that i have (lean) PCOS, which to me i feel it's highly due to just low levels of zinc for most of my life.. i always ate highly refined foods and had a ridiculous sweet tooth as a teen! sugar all day long.. to then going to a high fruit vegan diet for almost 5 years... it's no wonder my hair loss never resolved as a vegan, i just made myself even more mineral imbalanced, and probably copper "toxic"! i truly need to balance out my zinc to hopefully regulate my hormones and regrow some hair, without having to get on bcp or hormone therapy.. i believe my body can do it! im now starting to feel amazing eating liver, and a well balanced diet. :) What do you think about eating nuts or other high copper foods, in addition to copper supplementation? looking forward to your copper video

I had the same problem as you. I took copper supplements yesterday, and woke up feeling so much better this morning. And I know it's not placebo because the zinc white coating on my tongue has faded a little bit already.
I'm so glad I found this video. Thank you. This is a hard issue to diagnose. Especially since the zinc supplementation worked at first.
Thanks a bunch.
Since starting the copper, I haven't had any white coating on my tongue at all, and it's been around two years. I lived with a white coating all of my life until then. Hope copper is still helping!
Wow! Dear Gabriel and Vita.
I have had a white tongue coating for several months.
Moonless nails. Very low ferritin. However I have nearly healed my Hashimotos on my own but it took years as I was dx over ten years ago. I did all my own research. But I know I am still missing something despite healthy thyroid numbers. I remain lethargic and depressed. My hair has really grayed ALOT in six months with tangling. I'm a retired RN and thought maybe I had thrush as I've never had this white tongue!
And like a miracle you and Gabriel are sharing the same issue. I already bought some chelated copper. It has mag stearate in it which Im not crazy about. But I can get a different one soon. I am just desparate to feel better. Would you kind ladies share your knowlege on the white tongue correlation with copper? Did you take more in the beginning? Vita I love your hard won research and easy pleasant style. Thank you and Gabriel for any help you send me. I had to retire early as the job stress and hashi was slowly depleting me of my life. Vita you are a kindred spirit. Blessings. Thank you.❤⚘💚
I believe the white tongue is to do with candida overgrowth in the body. Copper controls it naturally. It amazes me how no matter what I do, I never get that white coating anymore. Hope copper is that last piece in the puzzle for you, Susan!
Copper helped, but didn't cure all of my symptoms.
I'm currently trying Vita's suggestion of Candida overgrowth in the body. I've done some research, and it can definitely explain all of my symptoms.
I'm currently switching to a new diet to help detox, cause I did the spit test, and it definitely grew legs in the water.

I'm curious the extent of your low back pain that you mentioned? I've been having low back pain for the last 6 months, but also supplementing a lot of zinc bc I've had symptoms of zinc deficiency (dry flaking skin, eye problems, warts, poor night vision, etc). None of the symptoms have gotten better and the back pain came out of nowhere. Pain all along my iliac crest. Also experiencing tingling/numbness/pain in my feet. Any insight you could provide would be helpful! I'm hopeful that copper could be the answer. Thanks for this great video! :)
I replied to your comment on the other video. 💖
I think you are onto something big with the copper deficiency. I listened to you today and went and purchased liquid chlorophyll. I cannot believe the energy it gave me! One single tablespoon! Incredible!
That's great! My results have been similar, and so many people have written the same. So many of us are coppe deficient, it's amazing!

I eat plenty of meat and sea food so it just dosent make sence to have zinc deficiency. So maybe i also have really copper deficiency that cause also zinc not to absrop. Thank you. You are amazing.
Let me know how it goes! ❤️
@@Vitalivesfree hi, for me it wasent copper issue beacuse 1 week and it made me terrible so i stopped.
I have tried every "top" zinc pill produkts out there and they all did nothing to my levels. One of my friend who is now doctor sayed to me that just forget the pill forms they are just expencive pee and your body absorp pill forms like 0 to max 20% and he say to me just go and get your self liquid drops of zinc you have chance with liquid forms. I got ionic zinc drops and i can tell big difference and i am shure it will rise levels because symptos are getting away. So i gues pill forms of vitamins are really just crap and absorp poorly.
Hi, can you share with me if can I take 2-4 mg of copper each day as a maintenance dosage after I feel better and a deficiency is corrected? I know a lot of people feel anxiety about supplementing vitamins because they are unsure of how long they can take them. I feel that since we don't get much copper in our food, supplementing copper but not exceeding 9 mg a day should be totally fine. What are your thoughts?
Get tested after you feel better. Try to get it from food.
Only your body and intuition can give you an answer. I didn't need to keep taking it. I stopped after a while. But perhaps for you it will be different. ❤️
This is really disturbing because after spending hundreds of dollars with a naturopath, blood testing and a hair test--- I was told that I was copper toxic.... He perscribed the zinc liquid to take daily and I kid you not-- I almost gagged to death it tasted so disgusting to me.... yet he said to take it 3X a day. I had read about the taste test and it seemed extremely odd to me that he was sayng I'm zinc deficient---- yet I was also tasting the zinc--- which would actually indicate that I'm Not zinc deficient...... Hmmmmm--- I'll try the copper and see how I feel.
That sounds very odd. If you haven't done so already, I would highly suggest asking the naturopath for a copy of the tests and doing your own research on the results. There's soooo much room for error, especially as there is so much focus on "copper toxicity" among naturopaths these days. Levels of copper in the soil decreased by around 90% in the last 100 years or so, yet they're still talking about copper toxicity. That's crazy!
Thank you that was very instructive! :-)
how much chlorophyll is needed to meet copper requirement ? the chlorophyll is Natures Way chlorofresh
The standard daily dose is 100mg of chlorophyllin. For some brands it will be 1 tablespoon, for others 1 teaspoon. Just read the label. xx
very informative I didn't knew about the zinc test that you showed in your previous video ..
..it helps a lot and I do have many of the symptoms that you mentioned for instance breaking of my sleep cycle some spots on nail and sometimes the vision.....so can u recommend or do u know is it possible to get zinc in proper level by natural diet without using supplements
+siddharth divakaran Sure, it's very possible to get enough zinc in the diet, but you really need to track it to make sure you're getting enough. xx
I'm binge re-watching all your copper videos! I took both zinc and copper supplements for a while, more so the zinc. But, seeing my health not improving, I stopped all my supplements. I'm now trying to work out what to keep and what to discard. So, I was re-educating myself on copper. I realise that I'm missing the mark when it comes to copper. So, I want to experiment by taking only copper, no zinc, at least for a while. But what about the need to balance copper with zinc, as many nutritionists say? (That you should always take zinc with copper in a 7:1 or 8:1 ratio)?
I would just eat some good grass-fed beef liver once a week for any copper needs. And plenty of good quality animal foods in between for zinc. No supplements necessary. And nature brings them in a perfect ratio, too.
@@Vitalivesfree You're right, obviously. I do eat liver - unfortunately not very regularly. So, maybe that's what I should do. Thanks!
Thank you for this video! You are so well spoken and very likeable. I had my zinc and my copper tested. My zinc was in the very low range, and my copper was in the good range. The doctor prescribed me high does of zinc to take, but now I'm wondering if I should take some copper along with this. I think your video is timely and Providential for me to see. My skin is very dry, and so is my hair. Does zinc or copper help with dryness? And I have no moons except on the thumbs, but I've never even thought about it before.
Both zinc and copper help with dryness, both skin and hair. I would never take zinc without copper, especially for more than a few weeks, but of course you'll need to do your own research and make an informed decision. xx
Thanks so much for your reply. I'm going to take some copper too...just got to work out how much.

Hi VitaLivesFree! Great video I really appreciate them. I think you are on to something here. Could you explain the mechanism how copper raises zinc or link me to something that does? I've been trying to fix my copper and zinc. I used to take zinc and it made me feel horrible headaches and joint aches/pops. I eventually realized it was zinc and stopped it and started taking chelated copper. My symptoms went away and my serum zinc went up from borderline low to between low-mid. But I've done the zinc test. Bought a bottle and the bottle said pour 5ml approx 15mg zinc solution with 60ml water and swirl in the mouth. All I taste is a bit dryness like red wine can be and then a sorta sweet taste. This would indicate low zinc. Pls help me! Kind regards Doug
I haven't been able to find any official studies done on the mechanism of copper being necessary for zinc absorption, but I think I've heard Morley Robbins talk about it in the past (not entirely sure) and it surely looks like it in my case because my zinc levels are now optimal with no zinc supplements at all, just some extra copper. If you tasted the zinc solution right away, even if it wasn't unpleasant, it means your zinc levels are sufficient. I've recently done a hair mineral analysis and it show optimal levels of zinc with low levels of copper, so my intuition was right. That's why any extra zinc makes me sick and extra copper is amazing for my body. Our bodies are truly fascinating and so complicated! xx
Thanks for the nice reply!
How many miligrams per day did you take and for how long to restore your copper and zinc? Thanks in advance!
Douglas Ek I take between 2 and 4mg at the moment. I took a very long break and restarted again around three months ago. I'll probably try to go down to 2mg soon. xx
Excelent info i think I have the same
how much chelated copper were you taking?
So how do we know if we need to take zinc or copper?
Was your skin issues due 2 zinc defiency or some other defiency and did u have low stomach acid ?thanks
Copper helped my skin more than zinc (because I believe it optimised my zinc level as well). However, my skin issues were more due to hormonal imbalances than nutritional deficiencies.

Where your white spots on the nail bed or did they grown out with the nail? I currently have white spots on my nails along with thinning hair. I took zinc to avail the tried iron with no luck.
They grew out with the nail. Two things that helped me apart from fixing my copperand zinc levels were taking mastic gum for H. Pylori and addressing estrogen/progesterone imbalance. I don't know if you're a man or a woman, but it might be helpful for you. xx
i am grateful for the video thank you also i was reading the comments below a learned that we have half moons on are nails wow i never even new that can you please do a video on it please
Yes, I'll make a video about the white moons when I completely regrow mine. I want to be sure before talking about it. I once talked to a manicurist who said that most people didn't have white moons anymore (apart from the thumbs). That's really shocking. xx
Hi, your video is very useful. My iron panel done a month ago shows high ferritin (308) but low serum iron (10). I read low copper can impact serum iron status in people with hypothyroidism (like myself) and can cause other issues like fatty liver due to fructose malabsorbtion. I ordered NOW Chlorophyl should arrive tommorow, hoping copper will improve my life.
High ferritin with low iron means inflammation in the body. It's something you really need to address before anything else.
Oh wow, this was really informative--thank-you :)
My hair test showed high copper low zinc, how long does it take with zinc to balance things out, I'm only going to take 15mg of zinc as I don't want to over do it!
I don't think anyone can tell how long it will take. Everyone is different. I'd suggest to listen to your body's signs, see how you feel, and perhaps repeat the HTMA in a few months. ❤️
Hi vita, when I take 2mg of copper I get really itchy! Does this suggest I am not low in copper? I'm vegan and eat alot spinach, cacoa and nuts?! Xx
If you're a vegan, you are more likely to be zinc deficient, so copper probably isn't a good idea. But hair mineral testing can give you a very good picture of your mineral situation.
The product you recommend as copper supplement is a chlorophyll item. I take chlorella (broken-cell type)- would this be just as good?
Chlorella doesn't contain much copper, so it wouldn't be a good alternative. ❤️
I don't see any moons on your nails!!
+rochellecl They're still very small and were hiding under the cuticles that needed to be pushed up. Just 8 months ago I had none at all, then they came out a bit when I started taking kelp for iodine, then I stopped taking it and white moons got smaller again. I started taking kelp again recently and the moons are coming out again rapidly. Basically, lack of moons means iodine deficiency which I'm still very deficient at. Getting there! 😉
Very interesting! I can see the moons on my thumbs, but not the rest of my fingers. I wonder if it's just the position of my cuticles on my other fingers? I always learn something new from your videos. :)
Apparently, the ones on the thumbs never disappear (I've always had them, too), while all the others might. Healthy white moons should be big enough to come out way beyond the cuticles. A lack of white moons is also linked to low thyroid, but that's more or less the same as lack of iodine as they're both linked very strongly. Interestingly, my husband lost the white moons at the same time as me, but his are beautiful and big now. I think it's because the male physiology needs less iodine, so he reacted to kelp quicker than me. Or maybe I was simply more deficient than him. It's a very interesting topic! In fact, once I regrow my white moons, I'll make a video about them, too. :-) So glad you're learning new things from my videos!
VitaLivesFree I've never had half moons on my nails at all from as far back as I can remember. I wonder why?
I paint iodine on the souls of my feet and let it absorb as needed. I thought moons are related to b12 deficiency??
My iron supplement has 2mg of copper. Is this sufficient to improve my zinc levels if taken daily?
I took 2-4mg a day and saw great results.
That's a bit confusing......zinc decreases copper but at the same time body needs copper for zinc to be absorbed ? Wow.....correct me if I am wrong.......
Yes, that sums it up well.
@@Vitalivesfree so how to fix this?
@@rses916 There is no easy answer. Some ways to fix it is making sure you eat a good diet with lots of varied foods, detox heavy metals as they can interfere with mineral absorption, address any parasites or candida (detoxing heavy metals addresses this, too), check your mineral levels with hair mineral analysis, and finally use your intuition and try muscle testing (here's my video about it: ua-cam.com/video/X4Hc7j2xwvY/v-deo.html ).
Hi. Just some information on how mineral pairs can be tested. Minerals work in pairs, as you said zinc and copper are a pair. It would be a good idea to get a hair analysis to check the amounts and ratios of the other minerals. Then a total plan is made for there adjustment.
Thank you for sharing. xx

My cat licks tiles and rusty viper.. Wht disease she is suffering frm
Anousha Zia. These are symptoms of pica, an abnormal craving caused by a mineral deficiency. Your cat is likely anemic & lacks iron. First off, determine why she's anemic--often fleas are the cause. Check her fur for fleas & the black debris fleas leave behind. To kill all fleas on her within two hours, give her a Capstar tablet; you can purchase one at your vet; it is effective for 24 hours. Also apply a monthly flea preventative to the back of her neck; either get from your vet or purchase online. I suggest Stronghold, which is known as Revolution in the states.
To build up her blood, offer her some raw chicken liver with the juice. Sometimes cats who won't eat the liver, will lap up the liquid part. Or, if she doesn't care for it raw, offer her cooked chicken liver instead; she will likely accept that.
There is also a liquid supplement called Pet-Tinic designed for cats & dogs which will help restore her iron levels, though it is not necessary if you can get her to eat chicken liver.
Hi Vita, maybe the form of zinc you took was not the best to raise your levels? But even then it would not explain why you now have optimal zinc levels by supplementing copper only... mmm
I'm not the only one experiencing something like that, Lots of people have written me with similar experiences. There's some kind of complicated relationship between zinc and copper that science still hasn't figured out.
@@Vitalivesfree I landed here because I kind of hypnotized the same but was scared to take copper. Your video and other peoples' experiences encourage me to test this theory out.

How do you determin white spots due to zinc opposed to just banging them ( working, washing dishes etc)
You simply can't have white spots on all your nails from banging on things. One or two, perhaps. However, if copper and zinc levels are fine, you won't get any white spots no matter how hard you bang your nails. I used to have at least 10 white spots on my nails in the past. As recommendations vary anywhere between 8:1 and 15:1, you'll have to figure which one works best for your body. I'd take copper in the morning because it's quite energising, and zinc in the evening.

It's generally advised to balance zinc with copper at a ratio of 8:1 to 15:1. The ratio depends on which scientist you read. Opinions differ a lot, so it's always best if you do your own research.
VitaLivesFree if the zinc is not working is it due 2 copper imbalance and which copper brand do u take and how much u take

Hello, zinc and copper should be taken at the same time or separately?
Do they help or inhibit each other's absortion?
They should always be taken at different times of the day. Copper doesn't really interfere with zinc absorption but zinc interferes big time with copper absorption. xx

Or perhaps you aren't really lacking zinc or copper. It might be something else. xx
maybe but I've got white spots on the nail and even though i keep taking zinc they don't go away and my nails don't grow either unless there's something else that can cause these problems
Get them every other day or 3 days copper than 4 days zinc Not the same day

zinc supplement contains cadmium ( toxic element )
so how much does of zinc is safe

What is the best zinc supplement?

Can I take both copper and zinc supplementation together?
Yes, but at different times of the day because they interfere with each other's absorption. xx
Should we not take supplements containing zinc & copper together?
You have to first ask yourself why your zinc levels are so low!
It was because of hypothyroidism (which started after a year on the Paleo diet). xx
@@Vitalivesfree so which is the right diet and what diet are you on right now 🤷
I read that you HAVE to take zinc when you're taking copper...hmm.
If you're low in zinc, then yes. My hair mineral analysis showed optimal zinc levels with low copper, that's why copper alone worked so great for me.
@@Vitalivesfree Thank you honey. I always refer people to your videos. Love what you do and your honesty and that you try things out yourself first.
@@Vitalivesfree but you also said you were trying to raise your zinc level by taking zinc and it was not restoring? Low copper on hair test doesn't mean it's low but it can be hidden copper toxicity by looking at other minerals pattern.
@@freethinker3131 Yes, it can mean many things but when zinc levels are optimal and the zinc/copper ratio is very high like in my case, it's clearly not copper toxicity but rather zinc toxicity. 💖
Can u b zinc defiecent and copper defiecent at the same time when your zincs low usually it's due 2 copper toxicity?
Yes, of course you can. That's exactly what happened to me. xx
If your defiecent can u take 100mg of zinc picolinate?
It's a huge dose and can definitely cause copper deficiency. Please do very thorough research before trying such a high dose and always combine it with copper. xx
@@Vitalivesfree how much copper shall I take with 100 mg zinc?
man i dont know what to belive anymore, a guy named sun fruit dan made an video of copper toxicity, i took alot of zinc for months and months and sure did i get copper deficency
@@TheJimmyswe150 how did you figure it out?by a blood test?
@@rses916 No, but i started chlorophyll and wow what a difference
I saw that you once mentioned that you had ridges on your nails. I have those on my nails and they have made them brittle! Even after taking Vitamin D and calcium. Could you send me a link where you got rid of the ridges on your nails please! Thanks!
+Bioluv193 Ridges on the nails signal low thyroid function, so by improving thyroid, ridges will disappear. Mine are also getting less and less visible as I'm fixing my thyroid. xx
Thanks Vita. Maybe my thyroid levels are low because my energy has also been low. I look to see what supplements I need to take.
Great question👌
@@Vitalivesfree I think it's adrenal weakness from low copper, not hypothyroidism (that would be low iodine), very similar symptoms.
@@vpx23 Hypothyroidism isn't always due to low iodine. xx
Did you take a zinc and copper blood test --- before and after?
No, I didn't because blood test isn't reliable at all when it comes to copper and zinc levels. I did a hair mineral analysis after a few months of copper supplementation though, and it showed optimal levels of zinc and low copper, so my intuition was definitely right.
@@Vitalivesfree where to get that hair test?
@@rses916 It depends on the country. Just put hair mineral analysis test and your country in your search engine and lots of results should come up. You don't have to go anywhere, it's all done by post.

Would 10mg zinc cause copper deficiency long term?
I don't think anyone can answer that question for you. I would be careful taking any amount of zinc alone for a long time.
Don't think so, if you are worried then just take like 15mg zinc and 1.5mg copper
Night King I’m zinc and copper deficient. Should I take copper first for a while then zinc. Or start with both? I’m thinking copper 1.5mg in the morning then 15 zinc at night (or will that cancel them out). Any help?
@@hugo8789 yeah copper first for some week or weeks is what I did, I still feel terrible when I take zinc so I must be very very deficient in copper, and yes copper in the morning and zinc at night
I’ve been taking desiccated liver supplements and just started liquid choraphyll. Do you think I still need to take a copper supplement? If so, what mg would you suggest?
I personally wouldn't take both, either chlorophyll or copper supplements. xx
Can I take copper without getting my levels tested first?
+CupNoodleKitty There are no reliable tests for copper, so it's really your call. I studied the symptoms of copper deficiency and they matched, plus I intuitively felt I needed it, so I went for it. In any case, if you take zinc, copper must be taken with it. Unfortunately, the majority of mainstream doctors and nutritionists are still painting copper as something dangerous. Nobody really knows who's right. But we surely can listen to our bodies, listen to our intuition, and carefully experiment. xx
Thank you for your reply! I'm zinc deficient (I got tested a few times) and the levels are not really going up that much although I'm taking a high quality supplement every day.. So I guess copper could be the answer. I think you're right and we should experiment and listen to our bodies
+CupNoodleKitty Yes, that sounds very much like my story. Copper could be the missing link. xx
@@CupNoodleKitty how did it go so far?
Hi I have been struggling with my health for about 8 months now. I can't stand wifi, television, radio etc. I was told that my copper level is too high. Please advise!
You might be sensitive to the electric waves or something like that I've heard of an illness like that. How was your high copper diagnosed? Blood test, hair mineral analysis or simply from symptoms? xx
Check out the Q-Link necklaces. They work quite well. My boyfriend got one because his cell phone was burning his hands really badly, and he barely feels it now. I got one for myself because I can only imagine it's good to wear one with all the EMF we are exposed to!
I have copper toxicity and EMF sensitivity to I can't be around Wi-Fi and it hurts to be close to my cell phone for too long.
Selene Baptiste me too, i got it when i took a vegan multivitamin, wish had alot of copper in it, but i also got copper deficenct symtoms and toxicity
I still get those spots while taking zinc thanks for posting this
Because those spots most of the times are not from Zinc but a Calcium deficiency.
@@haveanawesomeday4059 yup wish is a cause of copper deficency, as zinc lowers calcium, and copper increases it

This is a great testimony. I obviously have symptoms pf zinc deficiency, though I was always on the fence about taking it because sometimes I can feel nauseous afterward and I had no idea where my copper levels were. I had heard about the relationship of copper and zinc - how copper and zinc compete mechanistic processes in the body. It sounded difficult and confusing to try and determine those levels in the body. This video paired with your DIY zinc level home test is a great way to determine this without the blind paranoia of supplementing. At least now there is an easy option to monitor yourself to avoid toxicity (warning: Not valid medical advice. Heavy metal toxicity is a serious risk. Use at your own risk).
Thanks for this. I just started zinc again to try. I will Supplement for a time, and try the home test. If levels are low, I will proceed switching to a copper and test again.
Thanks!
Hope you find all the answers you're looking for. I'm glad my videos helped! xx

Zinc supplements should be taken in a chelated form or chemically bound to an organic molecule (like it is in your food). Zinc picolinate also needs to be taken in a 10:1 ratio with copper: 50 mg Zinc Picolinate w/5 mg copper.
Is there a particular type of Copper form that works best?
I "love" when people say something and then never respond to questions. Idiots.
White spots on the nails are from damage. Stubbing your finger even lightly without you even realizing it can cause this.
It's not true at all. Very rarely, white spots will be due to trauma. However, most often it will be low zinc. At my sickest, I had white spots on all my nails, and trust me, I wasn't going around stubbing my nails all day long. I probably do it much more now because I'm more active, yet no white spots. The conventional medicine's unwillingness to see the signs that nails are sending is a real shame. xx
Where is the data on this? Does your doctor tell you this? Where are your statistics?
ua-cam.com/video/YA37NPQ5LrI/v-deo.html Here is a credible source. Don't be fooled by fo-science.
White spots can indicate zinc deficiency. Can also indicate vitamin A deficiency, and also signify emotional trauma or stress at the stage of white spot onset. ... Stubbing a finger ? Hmmm...usually amounts in blue and black marks: bruises. ...... A tad different.
Hi! Thanks for your videos, I love them to learn new things about nutrition and health!
I just looked at the supplement bottle of zinc and it says that it is 50 mg of zinc and 0.5 mg of copper....I suspect that this is enough?
Yes, I also listened to that type of information and believed I had "copper toxicity" and low copper. That's why I kept supplementing with zinc. However, later on I came across a different side of the coin where copper is actually a vital mineral that a lot of us are deficient in and without correct copper levels it's impossible to have good zinc levels. My experience with these two minerals completely confirms it. The right ratio varies anywhere between 1:7 to 1:15 for copper to zinc depending on who you're listening to. I personally would go with 1:7 if i was supplementing with zinc. A supplement with 20mg of zinc and 0.5 mg of copper has a very wrong ratio however you look at it. Even the most conservative approach of 1:15 would still be far away from this ratio of 1:40. The amount of zinc is also very high, so it's a sure way to copper deficiency. That's what happened to me. xx
Thank you for your thoughts! Right after researching a bit more I also found some people talking about not having enough copper....I guess I´m gonna try it! :-)
