Thanks Dear .I also faced the same issue with Small circuit one and Seller adviced me to buy sound card instead of phantom power .
Thanks for the useful information on this.
It’s good to know this video helps
Got a bm-800 yesterday and the circuit board in it, is twice the size of your large one 🙃
So much variety.
Yeah me too, the mic was trash
Sem
But mine is not working
mine sounds really good + soundcard and voicemeeter banana
safe to assume that all of the versions of this mic that are currently available are all inferior versions, its a common practice that they will release a relatively cheap product thats actually a good deal for the first few months and after the demand is high they jack up the prices while lowering the quality, usually this happens with unknown brands,
Man, thanks a lot for share this!
No problem
Thank you for the tip... I just opened my newly bought condenser mic it was cheap...it doesnt say BM800 but has brand called GUARDA and the circuit board is actually huge! thank God.!
Does it affect sound quality? mean i just saw POWERPAK BM 800 which is around 1299 Rupees and another one which is URBAN INFOTECH BM800 mic (with no logo) with full set up with phantom power which is around 2764 Rupees. Please suggest i am so confuse. I would be really helpful.
Ty! very helpful
Thanks for sharing... need to watch closely as i also have phantom power.
Nice information. I had similar problem.
Thanks! I really hope this video can help more people to identify the right BM800’mic
Alright, good, i have one with a board about 3x bigger than the one u have
That’s good!
Where did you buy it? Pls give the link pls :)
Super Dude26 sry i dont remember
Mine also
Thanks for the video.
Very useful video.
Mine is larger than both combined but it only uses 1.5volts Which I can use on my phone
I bought one bm 800 condenser mic and also a power supply ..but while recording songs, mic is producing hiss sound...how to remove this sound...Should I need to use a v8 interface or I can just record with mic and power supply ?!
Is the one heavier than the other one?
I want you to know this video really helps a lot and someone out there really appreciates it
Thank you.
Hi, i have three BM-800-Microphones.
Two of them have a different, 3 Times larger circuit board (shown at 5:36), than your first and your second Microphone.
One of my BM-800 Microphones has the same small Circuit Board as your first BM-800-Microphone.
All three Microphones need 48V Phantom Power to work properly and all three microphones work together with a Behringer UMC22.
So i think your Problem with your first microphone must have some other Reason.
None of the Microphones is loud enough with the supplied external USB-Sound-Card!
By the Way - Zingyou is the original Manufacturer of the BM-800.
Thanks for the information. I might try my Bm800 with Focusrite Scarlett solo soon to see how it really sounds like
I got the BM 800 and the phantom power has not arrived yet, I plugged it in to the PC without phantom powrr and the computer didnt recognise it. Is it normal? Will the PC recognise it when I get my phantom power?
@@joelgreenfield7484 Whithout the Phantom-Power the BM-800 will not work, because it is a Condenser Microphone.
Every Condenser Microphone requires Phantom-Power!
@@guntergiersch1245 thanks a lot, its just because there are youtube video of them working very quiet without phantom power. but mine doesnt work at all. phantom power is on its way though
Both are fake 😂
real bm 800 have 3x times bigger circuit compared to these.
Can we use mic by putting sound card usb in my 33W mobile charger?
Sorry. No idea
I got my bm800 without any pcb on board. Is the pcb for bm800 available in market?
Not sure, yours got no pcb board at all?
The one i just bought doesnt have a circuit board...
what should i do?
Return it to the seller
Here is a tip just buy the Neewer NW-800 the original microphone those china made microphones are sometimes can be very sketchy so i recommend to buy the trusted one like the Neewer NW-800.
If want better sound just change the capsule into 25mm or 34mm
The BM-800 will run fine on 5 volts ! If you use the 48 volt supply, the circuit in the original BM-800 detects that 48 volts and puts it through a zener diode regulator that drops it to 5 volts anyway, so it is not actually operating on 48 volts - that gets regulated down to 5 volts !
Wow. Thanks! But there are so many types of BM-800 out there. How to know which is running fine on 5 volts only?
@@AuntyUncle mine is running at 1.5 volts tho it van handle phantom power
very good info contineu saund card also plz
I have two of them and they have the same circuit board like yours but the other one is working fine because it has capacitor and the other doesnt have like yours it dont have a capacitor thats why it wont hear any sound or doesnt really have a sound input at all
Thanks for the info
I have also purchased a bm-800 recently, the board was on the bottom but does have a capacitor and a jfet to drive the phantom power, just so you know :)
@@rinelvincentdelacruz7828 Could you show me a picture of the inside of your BM 800? Mine also has a small circuit, but it includes a JFET and a capacitor.
So I don't know if it supports phantom power
Thnks
You are welcome
i think you can find the original pcb for XLR preamp power for less than 5 buck to me i have ordered one and it's a phantom power compatible because i have the right pcb for it (the bigger one) but i do NOT recomment using it with the VERYYYY cheap usb sound card on wathever because the mic without phantom power make white noise .... i will order a phantom power supply soon and the quality of other part are just..... very bad, the arm is ok, the clamp arm sucks, mic anti vibratng is ok but cheap... the mic seem to be OK to the price
I have the same problem. But when I check the size of the circuit board of my BM-800, it is way bigger than what you have.
I’m not sure what is the problem, if it’s the mic itself or the V8 sound card that comes with it.
I haven’t yet tested it with a phantom power because I’m still saving for one.
Hi, you need 48V Phantom Power for the BM-800!
Otherwise you won't hear anything!
All condenser microphones like the BM-800 need 48V Phantom Power .
@@guntergiersch1245 thanks for the suggestion!
But I thought that having a sound card (in my case I have a v8 sound card) will suffice. I’ll see if I can manage to grab a phantom power for my mic.
With phantom power definitely will be better.
mine is overly sensitive (non phantom power) and that's really weird
Did you open and check the circuit board?
With my BM-800 and proper mixer with phantom power I can easily and cleanly speak from other side of the room, which is around 5 meters. The PCB in mic is 'big' - much bigger than you your both microphones.
Does it affect sound quality? I mean i just saw POWERPAK BM 800 which is around 1299 Rupees and another one which is URBAN INFOTECH BM800 mic (with no logo) with full set up with phantom power which is around 2764 Rupees. Please suggest i am so confuse. I would be really helpful.
Both BM-800 should work with phantom power. You've just received faulty mic, that you probably still can fix if you know how.
After seeing this video, I opened up the two BM 800s I have. They have slightly different circuit boards to one another, but they are far bigger than any in the video, in fact, I doubt that a larger circuit board could be fitted inside of them.
So this video is not the whole story, there are BM 800s with full sized circuit boards too.
Those with bigger and full size circuit boards BM800 are the better ones. I bought the cheapest, and ended up with smallest circuit board.
@@AuntyUncle I wasn't criticising your video at all, I'm just letting people know that not all of them have tiny circuit boards, so don't let the video stop you buying one. At the price though, I'd buy as many as I could from different sources just to make sure that you get a good one.
Thanks for your reply, and thanks for the video, it was very helpful. :)
@@Dave-Rough-Diamond-Dunn No worries, I understand there are a lot of other types of BM800 out there. It’s just that mine got a small circuit board and that’s why I recommend all viewers to buy a branded BM800, which at least give you a peace of mind
@@AuntyUncle Yes, I shop through eBay mostly, and I bought two different kits that included the BM 800, both the cheapest available. I couldn't find any that were branded except for Neewer NW 800, which look to be the same mic. I've ordered the NW 700 though, just because I think that the NW 800 will probably be exactly the same as a BM 800. I really just wanted another arm type stand, and the suspension "clip" in the kits with the arm are better than the one that was in the smaller kit.
Luckily for me, I struck a couple of good unbranded BM 800s, but if I'd had the choice I definitely would have bought branded mics.
I would like the burned mic to mod it into better sounding microphone. You can build a new mic for 50-100 dollars that sound as good as 1000 dollar one
Waht the quality mic
Test the sound
EVEN THE SECOND ONE IS SMALL...VERY FUNNY
Yea, it’s small as well. Just slightly bigger than the first one. At least it works, but the sound quality is really not that good.
For me the board is bigger than the second mic
How can I know if it's phantom power supported if I'm ordering online
Ask the seller, make sure they write in black and white.
@@AuntyUncle okay. Thank you so much
Guys I'm about to get a BM 800 and I want to order it. What do I watch out for?
Check the feedback of the seller . If not many complaints, just order it.
Im mad for not checking since mine had no circuit board at all
As long as the mic works, its actually fine. Cannot really demand to much for the price
I got bm 8000 with large circuit board...What's the difference between bm 800 and bm 8000....
I have not heard of bm 8000 before. Perhaps it’s just another name came out by different company. Maybe bm 8000 sounds higher end.
@@AuntyUncle bm 8000 looks like copy version of bluebird condenser microphone...
My circuit board is 3 times that size
Feeling bless my bm 800 mic's circuit size is bigger than these 2 mic
I bought a microphone that was backed by a recording studio studio that has the same circuit. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HJWK3BH.. Yeah - the best part was the damned base for the mount.
Saaaame, got one that covered almost all the space there. With two large capacitors
This is false information
@@batchotq prove it
there are different manufacturers of bm800 microphone condenser .. bm800 is not the brand.. it’s like your electric fan at home or your rice cooker there a lot of brands but it doesn’t mean the other one is fake.. hope you get what i mean .. i have both of them and it’s bith perfectly fine
i have a bm 800 with no texed and the motherboerd is very big bigger then the one u showed
Good for you. I think you got a good one
thank u
i bought in shopee no circuit board! frustrating 😭
Sorry to hear that
Hello po pwede po ba makahingi ng lumang BM 800 Mic. Thank you
bruh i got the small board type one and now it's broken
Guess you get the same one I get
my bm-800 doesnt seem to have a circuit board. weird
You mean inside is empty?
@@AuntyUncle Yes. Just the two wires.
But would it work for android ?
Sure. It works on all devices provided you have the Sound card. Check out v8 sound card or better ones
Just upgrade the capsule
I got a fake one what should I do now
Contact the seller.
@@AuntyUncle he blocked me I don't know if u can help me
Never have I seen a BM-800 internals look like either one of those microphones. They both look cheap. I would go with Neewer NW-800.
Perhaps I should get a better one
@@AuntyUncle Just use the ones you have now and save up for a better mic that's at least $100.00 or more.
Haha, I am still using it. Actually it sound ok for me as I only speak on it. If it’s for singing, I think I need a better one
@@AuntyUncle just buy an MXL microphone you can find them for super cheap and their sound quality is what their normal prices which is normally $700 but you can buy them for about $30

i just bought BM800 from aliexpress a week ago, if it turns out that its fake BM800 with no phantom power support i will be so angry... thanks for the video
Show the seller the picture and request refund
@Unkwon Malaysian Guy its great... the moment i realized that this BM800 is without phantom power i ordered Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 and another BM800 for which the seller confirmed with photos that it is the 48V version, but now i think i just wasted money for nothing, since the one that i got is great... its quite sensitive, the sound is great, doesnt have any noticeable noise... the problem people have with this microphone i think is because they are using the "usb sound card" that is included in the package, i just plug the microphone directly in my PC mic plug...
@Unkwon Malaysian Guy it is the one without phantom power btw, i forgot to mention that, but read my previous comment...
Every condenser mic needs a phantom power and if your seller tells you it doesn't need one he is either cheating or doesn't know a shit about condenser mic
Yes. That’s why I ask the seller why my BM-800 don’t need phantom power, and after I open up I realize the circuit board is so small, it won’t support any additional power.
yo wtf i just bought this today mine doesnt have board at all
What’s inside? Empty?
@@AuntyUncle yes only 2 wires no board,i think i got scammed
Looks like you got one of the scam ones
I guess so, that’s why I made this video to show the world
@@AuntyUncle thank you for doing so
Luckily i had a Big pcb🤧
Good for you
bruh there is no wire connecting to the circuit board to the xlr input😂
Yea, I just notice that. What does that means anyway?
@@AuntyUncle that is your problem it was cheaply made and there is no wires for the 48v phantom power to go through it looks like the circuit board was soldered to the xlr input
I see. Directly soldered to XLR input is a problem? What problem is that exactly?
@@AuntyUncle go look for yourself and see
was the old one fake?
I wouldn’t say it’s fake. It’s just the lowest quality BM800. Almost every manufacturer can say that, theirs’ are original, no one in China register the copyright of this mic model number
@@AuntyUncle ooooo, thanks for the information. I think the main manufacturer should strict about the quality.
@@unknownportal6392 it’s normal to have qualities, lower quality ones will sell at the cheapest price.

It's just a fake version of fake bm 800...🤦
