Still risky. True: You can even design the flashlight to not overheat or turn off, when overheating, but lithium batteries have a tendency to explode. But ...
for tested commercial batteries this risk is far too low, from stopping a one-eyed lad getting such an awesome eye. And since it's transparent, the risk can be mitigated by daily visual inspection.

Honestly, that guy with the flashlight could actually be one of the smartest people I've seen. It's useful, practical and much better instead of having a googly eye or some replica of an eye. As a person who knows that my left eye will one day stop working and I will be blind on one eye, I would instantly try to get my hands on that.

For real, does anyone know what the deal is with what colour polor bears are? I was told that they were white because their fur was transparent and also slightly reflective, so the white colour comes from the snow around them. This polar bear ain't in snow.

If I remember correctly this dog has some brain damage in the movement/balance section and learned to walk like that cause it's easier for them to keep the balance like that. I think it's even more awesome

To people who think his Eye Flashlight gets hot, that is not the case
1. it's a LED, short for Light Emitting Diode, these lights are very efficient and can draw less than 5 watts for a typical house light, and they last a long time
2. The Heat outfitted by a LED on average is around 15-60*c, (60-140*F) which considering average body temperature is 37*c (98.6*f) it is hardly even warm at its hottest
3. Even if it does get really hot, it by no means will ignite the skin, it couldn't even burn it due to the low temperature and power output.

The eye LED wouldn't get hot. People have the idea that any light will get hot if left on. Thats only for very inefficient lights like incandescent bulbs. 90 percent of the energy is waisted through heat. In LEDs 90 percent of the energy is seen as light.

@S5P2 He absolutely has figured something out, and he's made multiple different sorts of prosthetic eyes, according to that tiktok video. Also, to answer two comments in one, I'd assume it's pretty easy to pop a prothetic eye in and out. It seems very similar to putting in contact lenses, except a full eyeball.

Cool fact about that hawk in the bird bath! That was probably it's version of a shower. Birds of prey are very vulnerable when they bathe, as they are close to the ground and it's difficult for them to take off with wet feathers. Thus, taking quick dips and coming right back up to be aware of it's surroundings was the only option they have!

it's actually quite beneficial, not only does it massively improve soil quality but unlike other native plants, it can't survive under trees, so once they've spread and started taking over more soil, icelandic people will start being able to plant trees in the soil they've fixed, killing the plants and allowing trees to grow in their place instead, they're an amazing tool for environmental restoration

Its in the Canadian arctic and its completely natural for these bears to experience summer there. They stay healthy and abundant every year.
