That guy was so lucky. Swimming in the sea for nearly 24 hours straight, trapped. The fact that these fishermen found him within the vastness of the ocean makes him so incredibly lucky. I'm glad people found him. Better late than never.

Just an FYI, if you're ever in the position of finding someone that's been in the water for a long time like that, DO NOT LAY THEM DOWN. There was a case from the coast guard where they rescued two people in this situation, but they were so hypothermic and their legs were so cold that when they laid the woman down, the freezing blood ran to her heart and either sent her into irrecoverable shock, or there were microscopic ice particles (it was in Alaska I think) that damaged her brain and killed her on the spot. Just sit them down upright

You're aware that if they've been in the water for that long neither of those two scenarios you stated make any sense. It could be that the only reason they hadn't froze was due to the constant moving of the body keeping them within a "safe" temperature and laying them down caused everything to go cold.. similar effect from morphine and the way it numbs the body.
Critical thinking goes a long way, never stop learning.. be wary of propaganda.

The man that got rescued from the ocean made me cry, imagine holding on for 24 hours unsure about whether you'll ever see your family or friends again or even another person. That this is where you'll die, and then seeing a boat with rescuers lift you up and you recover, it's just insane to me. I can't imagine how relieved he must feel, bless his soul I hope he lives his best life

I love how gentle they were being with that wayward swimmer. You can tell the poor guy is suffering from hyperthermia and so his brain probably is not working full capacity. It's in survival mode and rushing to get its water and warmth. It's always nice to have understanding instead of irritation. Slow down man your alright instead of would you stop we are trying to warm you up?

2:11 this bird is a tropical wader bird called the Jacana (native to parts of Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas). They are known for their very long toes which allow them to walk on Lilly pads. Jacana carry their offspring under their wings in order to protect them from predators such as crocodiles; often times giving them a peculiar appearance. The Jacana’s main diet consists of insects, small fish, and seeds found under Lilly pads and aquatic vegetation.

I honestly like that you show us the video you used for the thumbnail first and not at the end or somewhere in the middle. To me it's always been a sign of respect for our attention, showing us what you say your going to show and then proceeding to also show us more interesting stuff. I cant remember the name of the bird, but they have feet like that to help them walk across water. Does look a bit creepy but its pretty cool how they stand on the water among plants and stuff.
And, the parent picks them up like that to avoid predators.

The bird is a Jacana, a species of bird known for their weird feet/legs. They're able to walk on lilypads, and the males are usually the ones that raise their chicks.

Same (was a missionary in 2002). Any door that I went up to, I made a point to stay off their grass because I saw it as a sign of disrespect. Im glad these missionaries didn't walk on the grass.

They are missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They are sharing that Christ’s church has been restored by him, and they are donating their time and supporting themselves to do so. If you are not interested they will politely leave. Be kind to them. It is hard and mostly thankless work to do this in an angry world.

So many things to be thankful for in this video, from the men who rescued the lone man at sea, to the cat showing the human love, to all the dogs, but I want to point out the respect the men with the Bibles had for the No Soliciting sign. I've had one no my door for over 10 years and you'd be surprised at how many people think that doesn't apply to them, because they have something that I 'could really use.' I even had one person stop by _twice_ today.
Contrary to common misunderstanding of english Soliciting actually requires you to sell something. What soliciting does not mean is "knocking on my door" or trying to talk to you about something. Those signs only tell door to door salespeople to bugger off. It isn't telling ministers or missionaries anything. You are welcome for this free minute of education.
