Imagine a 19 year old kid that’s struggling big time with hair loss. His “friends” make fun of him for it, women wouldn’t talk to him cuz of it, and he spent HOURS a day thinking and researching about it. He doesn’t know what to do, but then he comes across your channel, and is inspired to actually face the issue head on and goes down the medical therapy route. Years later he’s now in a much better place and can put his energy and focus in other areas of his life. You did that for me, whatever you choose to do to make yourself happy is what I fully support. You helped pull me out of a dark place and I’m here to tell you the people who have been with you since the keratin brotherhood days will never think any less of you no matter what.

If it can be of any help, I was in your same situation, too. Or rather, people made fun of me but not for my hair loss, but because I'm short. Anyway this story has to do with hair loss because I never cared about my hair until one of my friends went from a below average look to AMAZING by growing long hair. So I did that too and for more than 5 years I've let it grow. And that's when I noticed I was balding, fast. Anyway to make it short I decided to shave it all off after the 5 years mark, 100 to 0. Now there was my best friend (girl) at the time that is 6.1 inches and I'm 5.4. She always told me:"Honestly I would never date a shorter man because I'm just too tall and it would be uncomfortable to even bend down for a kiss. I would also not date muscular guys because I'm not fit and would feel bad about it" well long story short, as soon as I shaved my head bald it took me 2 months to get in a relationship with her. No kidding. Granted we already had a nice connection but I was deep in the friendzone for many reasons, but she told me that she started to feel something but was not quite fond of it because my hair looked like a mess and it seemed like I didn't take care of it, but bald? I look(ed) much better and that's how she started to think I wasn't a complete douche about my wellbeing.
So if anything... of course it wasn't because of my haircut alone but women do dig the bald look if done right, don't let it destroy your self worth :)

@@FilippoCardoni There is big difference between being bald and having short hair, even if it means the shortest it can be. That is the reason why people do micro pigmentation. I don t know your situation but i m assuming you are not bald nor shaved the head, just clipped at minimum

I started losing hair in 2017 when I was only 19 , it came out of no where, in the span of 2 years I went from full head to losing most of my hairline, it was a struggle NGL , no one helped even my family, when someone point out the fact im losing hair triggers me so much.
Fast forward to 2022 I started focus on my studies, building my confidence, What I started to notice it wasn't as big as I was setting it to be , I know its a big change and a permanent one but , I started to make peace with the situation, in the end of 2022 I met someone who's having a similar case and he tried to suggest minoxidil for me , I simply said i don't need it , thats when i know i was ok with the way i look. the moment i accepted it didn't bother me as much , the comments didn't stop, I still hear some jokes -some of them are actually funny- but it just doesn't bother me very much , this is me and this how im going to be , if worrying about it won't change it why worry at all.
Its a difficult thing for a young man I know , and I hope everyone who is struggling finds his peace of mind ♥️

If you want my advice I'd say forget about the finasteride, put a little SMP in that scar to take the edge off it and embrace the clippers. All the best.

I've been on fin and minoxidil for a little over 9 months now and I must say, those drugs really do work well, I'm at a point where I can finally look in the mirror and smile again, a stark contrast from when my hair loss was more accentuated and I couldn't even bear looking at myself. Aside from some brain fog every now and then (not like I didn't have it before taking fin anyways), I've been side effect free since the very start. Thank you for spreading the word about the drugs and helping so many of us. I hope that whatever you choose to do about the hair loss after trying for a kid works for you!

If you're a great father you'll never feel like you are, as a father to 4 you will always feel like you can do better. I gave up my hair in my early 30's and just shaved it off. At that time I had two kids, my ex wife became a drug addict and ran off leaving me to raise a 11 month old and 7 year old on my own.
Needless to say my hair was the last thing on my mind, I just shaved it and focused on doing the best I could. Fast forward 10 years later I'm still doing the best I can and that's all anyone can ask of you.
Okay my opinion though I haven't tried it, honestly a hair unit is the least hassle and safest, change the tape once a week or so and move along, yes it probably will cost you $700-$1k a year but I think of all the options it has zero side effects while giving you all the confidence. Like I said I haven't done it YET, but I've researched it lol.

I am sorry you lost all your gains and more bro! My advice is learn to love yourself for who you are and what you look like. What's most important is what is on the inside and how you conduct yourself in life and you've already proven you're a great guy. For me, I just was tired of messing with my hormones. My main man, dont do SMP for the love of god, everyone and i mean almost EVERYONE regrets doing SMP after a few months/years. IT fades away, it looks like crap after a while, and in theory, its supposed to look like real hair, but in real life, i assure you it doesnt. I am a balding dude, only in my crown, and finasteride and oral minoxidil made me go from NW3 ( only vertex, hairline was only intact ) to NW1, not even kidding. BUt my father, who is now 67 and was 61 when he had SMP, dude it really goes to shit really fast, and till this day it looks like crap, and since its in his bald spot, which is huge, he only wears caps everytime even at an old age because he doesnt like how it looks. I really REALLY advice you not to do it, please.

Good to see you looking healthy DJ, hope all is well! I recently just started to add x2 Dutasteride to my regimen with x5 Finasteride and minoxidil foam once daily after your advice. But with the addition of Dutasteride I'm experiencing really low libido.
I know this is going to be quite random but it'll be nice to get your opinion after watching your journey and your videos helping me a lot the past few years and I think you're a very down-to-earth guy.
I feel like as a young guy in this kinda time of "hook-up" culture I feel a bit down that people are only looking to immediately have that aspect of it and not start with an actual connection(am I wrong in thinking like this?), it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong trying to meet people organically and not jump straight into bed and then that's it. I actually feel the Dut is helping me see things more healthily with that aspect rather than instinctively but I'm constantly getting the cold shoulder, maybe I've just been unlucky with the people I've met. I sort of don't get what the "right" way to do things are, because it's a decision I'm making but it's hurting me in the process.

But i can definitely feel some lower libido, although no erection/or orgasm problem. I personally like it though, since i am in a long-term commited relationship, but even if i was dating, i would definitely like it because it would give me a much more rational mindset in regards to dating and spouse selection.
Basically i could see the person more holistically, e.g. her personality, our attitudes on things etc. rather than heavily rely only on her physical appearance and my sexual attraction to her etc. (as i was heavily used to do so). My view is simply that you haven't met the right person yet. Don't get stressed from the pressures of the current dating culture, just take your time and enjoy things and im sure you will find the right person.

Let me start by saying, you are the PERFECT candidate for SMP. My buddy and I (both about 40) have been fighting the fight for 20 years. He started later than I did. I have had 3 transplants and use everything to keep my hair to the point where I have enough tricks up my sleeve to look like I have a full head of hair. Not thin and full but absolutely full. My buddy started too late to be so lucky. He has very light skin and did it. I thought he was crazy. I was especially nervous for him for what it would look like in the bright sunlight. Truth is, he found the right guy and he looks amazing. Very good looking and successful guy. As if he has a full head but chooses to shave it. No harm, no foul if you choose to shave it. But personally I can tell you, if I’m you and I want children but also want a full head of hair, especially with darker skin, find the right SMP person. Cheaper, No worries and forever. They can even fix your scar. I have done SMP for my original scar because my first transplant was FUT and I like short hair on the sides. I can now go down to a 1 attachment and nobody knows I have a scar. It works.
I don’t comment on UA-cam. But I felt this was important because we all struggle but when it comes to these types of commitments, it’s nice to hear from others. If you want to talk about it at all, I’ve done it all and can speak on what my buddy has done as well, reach out. Would be happy to talk. I would bet that he would too.
I’m just a regular 40 year old dude (single by choice) living in south florida and in medical sales and love the single life for now. You seem like a good dude. And you’re a good looking dude. I would guess that SMP will change your life. You will never think about your hair again. Just depends who does it for you. I wish I could show you his pictures to see what he has done but privacy is important. Reach out if you want. All good. Rooting for you.

I will probably not go for another transplant as I don't want any more scaring then I may or may not have on the front and back. I'm worried if I shave it it's going to look really weird with the island hair at the front. I was considering smp but I'm worried it will be noticeable at won't age we'll.
