PJ SB LA I agree...Pearl Jam seems to have lost their energy, but don't get me wrong they still F'ing jam. I guess everyone's getting old...(me included) ha
+matt west Well i'm just 17 so I don't know what that will feel like :). The thing is; look at the Rolling Stones. They are so increadibly energetic even though they are in their 70s. I think PJ (Vedder in perticular) have grown up a lot and they have started to make calmer music (e.g. listen to Lightening Bolt), and that is a shame for those of us who still want the cameratower-jumping Eddie. But you are right, they still jam better than anyone else!
No, having just seen them for two shows at Wrigley? They've lost nothing, calmed nothing and fill the stadium with energy. Don't trust one video to tell the story of what this band is doing live.

They're only underrated and overlooked if you've been living under a rock since 91.
No a single member of PJ is under rated... Actually always appears in list of best ranking in his instruments... Players
@@ozkrhills9624 i would argue that Stone is kinda under-rated. He gets totally overshadowed by McCready but he was in Mother Love Bone and Green River. Grunge icon
Especially stone's writing ability when he wrote more in the band they actually had hits the man is a hit machine and wrote with a great funk rock style and Mike McCready has a beautiful Hendrix style feel

I was in the front row for this PJ performance and let me tell you the energy was amazing despite the fact we had not eaten for 15 hours and also been standing for that long if not longer. I was totally blown away by how great they sounded. Eddies voice was just perfect, sounded like the early years

Have my tickets for the Lollapalooza Paris 2020, been postponed to summer '21 and now summer '22... but they did confirm Pearl Jam will be there. Been wanting to see them for 12 years... almost there lol

What I love about this band is that they must have played this track hundreds of times throughout their long career but still perform it with the same joy, passion and effort they did back when they performed it for the BBC after releasing their 1st album.
I would fucking cry my eyes out if I ever get to see them live 😢

I have yet to see a live video of Mike playing this solo properly. He always, without fail, plays something else. I realize the original was a mashup of plagiarized solos from Kiss and The Doors, but I just hate it when you go into a legendary solo section expecting to hear said solo, and never get to hear it.
Pretty much our last bastion after the sad passing of Chris. Eddie please stay and play for many years to come :)

This was show #13 for me and Pearl Jam kicked ass per usual although the crowd was just about the absolute worst crowd in the history of ever. They weren't selling beer either which probably played a role in that.
+Frank Collura I was there too. It was pretty dead. It seemed like everyone in my section was there for Pearl Jam, but after all the other performances and the endless talking in between it was almost as if people had the life sucked out of them. Awesome show nonetheless, short as it was.

Eddie may be the icon who puts the lyrics into action, Jeff and Stone started the project, I get it, but don't let anyone tell you otherwise, no McCready, no Pearl Jam... he honors that Les Paul as much as any of the most acclaimed "classic rock" lead guitar players.
