Damnit, this tune pulls out the tears. I was 18 when this album hit. I loved it, this song especially. That summer 2010 had that feeling of foreverness and possibilities. I went to see them when they came to Belfast to play in June that summer. Listening now brings nostalgia to it all back then, yet at the same time it brings a refreshed feeling of that foreverness, and the possibilities ahead. God bless you who reads this, God bless you Pearl Jam.

It's late, and the moon's been out and deep red the past few nights here in Colorado. (mostly due to wildfires) But I found myself reflecting on this song again. One of my favorite PJ songs just because it paints such a vivid picture in my mind. I also think the pain in this song is very sharp, that's one thing that's always stuck out to me about it. But I always wondered what it meant to him when he was writing it. Glad I found this video.

Anyone know where I can find Eddie's solo acoustic version of this song at Ohanna? Heard it on Sirius and blew me away. Also, I CANT STAND the audience clapping for this song all the time in live shows!!! It takes away the amazing, serious build up and crescendo of the song and turns into a "fun, clappy bar song."
