I think people don't really understand marriage. It's a lie to say that God will only bring you someone when your are spiritually ready. The bible speaks of no such thing. The way christian today view marriage is heavily influenced by their worldview. Marriage is a covenant, a mean to sanctification. It allows you to see yourself for who you are and thrive to become better. your spouse is your mirror. The man should mirror Christ while the woman should mirror the church. Marriage is just an image of the things to come when we become one with Christ. Best way for a woman to know whom she should marry is to know if her future husband mirror Christ, and one way for the man to know whom he should marry is to know if the woman in question is a truly follower of Christ. Marriage is not a destination but a condition. Singleness is not a season but a status. Singleness is not a gift either if you are meant to marry. We often confuse the gift of singleness ( no desire for relationship) to singleness as a temporary state.
Salvation is a whole other issue, that is why I said the woman should make sure that the husband mirrors the Image of Christ. that is, he is walking in faith and is thriving for perfection, becoming more like Christ, less like the world. If you are married with an unbeliever, unfortunately their is nothing you can do at this point other than praying, be more like Christ yourself. You are the salt of the earth, the lighthouse, the light of the world. You can make a difference but it will take a lot of energy to do so. Just prepare yourself.

I'm not married yet so I can only give advise based on biblical principles and observation. It's not your role to change him. Your role is to give him an example to live by. You can either be that example or try to fight an uphill battle trying of your own strength to change him. It will take longer than you want. God will use that situation to shape and mold you into the daughter that he wants you to be, someone who is patient, loving, joyful, peaceful, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. You know, the things you should have cultivated in the first place while looking for your husband. God's goal is to mold us into the image of his son. Trust in God's grace, pray without ceasing, and enjoy your marriage. Their is no perfect marriage, but there is a perfect God.

So God expects you to sleep only with one human.. what if you never find your soulmate? Should you opress your need for sex and never do it? Or should you just marry someone, but maybe regret it?
