I have been a fool. I thought I was a upright woman until lately. I have been awakened by my Father to know that I have failed my sweet husband and it may be to late! Praying that Father God can heal my wrongs and may I put my focus on my Father so I can love for real, for once! Prayers needed that it isn't to late!

Brother Joshua - I accidentally came across your video (Proverbs 31 Woman - Part I) and it has to definitely be THE BEST I have ever heard preached by any preacher, pastor! My goodness....You ministered so much to my soul and heart because I am a single woman & needed to hear this! I am WAITING ON GOD for Him to bring the man he wants into my life! I am putting God FIRST until HE brings Him - and learning to be patient, trusting HIM and let God develop ME while I wait! Your video completely TOUCHED me. I shared on FB to my friends!! Now I am watching this one which is equally good!! God bless you!

This was so convicting. If I wasn't at work I'd be crying out but all I can do it repent. Being a wife is more powerful than I fully realized but now I grasp it a lot more. I know it takes two but being a wife you see things he can't see at the Head and so God has blessed those called to marriage with enough sight to see, can He trust your report, effort, and your support? Wow! This confirms why God has guided me to lay down my pride as an awesome provider. The last stronghold of my Independent Womanhood. It requires so much trust and humility to be like: I need blah blah and him saying that's not in our financial plan for this season especially if I know I've contributed to that bucket but he feels guided into something else. Imma need 3 witnesses. Lol we think we know what submission is, but have no idea. Ugh! I'm low key scared now. But God will give me confidence.

This message is something I have been seeking for a long time. I was raised to find strength the role that God gave me as a woman, as well as respect man's role in God's grand design. My mission in life is to help society see the importance of the roles of man and woman. To 1. accept that even though they are different, they are necessary as well as equal in God's intentions, and 2. How to implement these role back into society to strengthening God's Kingdom. Thank you for this message brother.

Anyone else feel that addressing God directly is actually pretty vain? How would you feel if your hand turned around on its own and thanked you for everything you've done for it?? I think you'd probably facepalm... with your other hand of course. Bottom line: "You better check yourself, before you wreck yourself" -anon.

We address Him the way we do because He is a King, He is our King. He is our Lord, which means He literally owns us. The Word says that with Jesus' blood He bought men for God. Therefore, let us praise the Lord, for He is worthy! "Let God be true and every man a liar." -Bible

So, I would like to offer my perspective as a seminary student. I'm not sure that proverbs 31 is meant to be read in this context. Proverbs is part of the Jewish wisdom literature that is meant to explain things such as human suffering. It doesn't make sense to me to use proverbs 31 as a road map to being a good wife or a good husband or a trustworthy man or woman. It makes more sense to me that the writer of proverbs is saying that who we choose to do life with is critical, because any relationship that is toxic is detrimental to our health. This goes for friends, co workers, and significant others. I just get concerned that we're reading into the text was isn't there.
I would also like to address the creation story. We can not take this story literally, because we have found the dead scrolls. The dead sea scrolls contain all the Jewish writings from the time of exile in Babylon. Genesis 1 and 2 are taken verbatim from Babylonian theology. It is word for word the way the Babylonians believed their god Marduk created the world. Then, when Jewish scholars returned from Babylon they codified this in their scriptures. Now, there was something in this story that obviously informed their experience of God. But, I think it's important then to read this story with a critical eye.
Because we know that this story is man made we have to get ride of some of the elements of the story. I don't think it's reasonable to assume that God literally sat down and created one man named Adam and one woman named Eve. And when a serpent appears in stories that come out of the ancient middle east it is always allegorical. So, here's how I read this text. Eve in the story represents selfishness. When she ate the fruit she gave no regard for Adam's health or well being. And, she certainly gave no regard for her relationship with God. And the serpent can represent temptation, maybe a temptation for success or wealth. I'm not sure.
Anyway, I think the story of creation is more about how we should live in relationship with one another and how we should live in relationship with God. It is not literally a roadmap for the differences between men and women. It is not about marriage. Again, I just get concerned that we're reading into the text what isn't there.
I have watched a lot of your other sermons. You do tend to focus a lot on the romantic relationships between men and women. While that is important to talk about, you tend to come down strongly on women I feel.
Let me just say this. My fellow brothers and sisters do not get so wrapped up in other people that you forget to live. Women and men have a tendency to get obsessed with each other and get obsessed when they are in relationships. Don't. You are enough on your own. In this life, just focus on being someone you would admire.

  • @francek8964
    @francek8964 7 років тому +1

Just saying...one size does not fit all. The Bible had to command the man to love, the woman to respect and submit- it's not possible, it's not natural apart from the Spirit. When a woman recognizes her value in Christ- that confidence and reliance alone can become threatening to a man if he does not know whom he is. Coming from a formerly stay-at-home woman.
I have yet to hear a preacher talk about the woman especially after divorce, which is most now. 'Generally' she has to be strong to take care of herself and children. Strong does not mean 'not needed'...it is survival, it may be fear for her, or a cry for help. Many women know, what you call strength is not strength, it's a cry to be seen from the inside.
As in anything else, it is not an overnight process that she relinquishes 'surviving' in order to welcome a man's strength.
His assumed withdrawal may be processing or a cry for help, while her seeking may be a cry for help too. You are right, a man can speak to the nature of a man in response to what a woman should do. It takes a woman to speak to the nature of a woman.
    (older women teach the younger)
Might I suggest, with no authority however, men, process...while you allow her to stay physically connected (don't forget your rib in the processing). Women, stay physically connected (sit next to, watch tv with, at least in the same room)- that may help you wait long enough for the process without 'feeling' unseen.
First time seeing your videos, thx

i understand what you mean, but he's simply saying, just because you get saved doesn't mean you can't still have some fun dancing with, for your husband. you don't have to be nasty or perverted like the world when it comes to dancing "twerking" but you still can dance for your husband cause "TRUST" they like that. being saved doesn't take everything away, we just need to know how to keep it Holy..... plus i don't twerk nor do i try, don't like the way it look. but i can dance for my husband period. Hope that explains it.
