Merry Christmas and happy new year from the land of oz (Australia). 22 was wettest year since European settlement (1788) for most places in eastern Australia. Third wet year in row. Very rare. Major floods. Some even had 3 this year plus one last year.Wether has affected both this current winter crop ( down grades and yield losses as well as whole crop under water) and coming summer crops ( now to late). We all hope 23 will be better ( an average year). Did I see a front pto on 724? If so has it the hydraulic fittings to run extractor and would you try using it front on to extractor? That sliding auger on big auger is brilliant. How long have they been around. Always thought that was the archilles heel of swings ways, not having lateral adjustment.
Mike,i have a question: If that large grain auger was fully fulfilled with grain and you would engage the pto, would it stall the 1167 or would the 1167 snap the pto shaft?
Well that depends on a few things like is the grain tough? What type of grain canola vs chickpeas? Or fertilizer? But in most cases, with the 1167 on the auger, you will NOT ever plug it.. You ll simply just run the hopper over as there's more than enough hp to run it. But we have plugged it on the 724 and it took a few trys but it did go through without any damage.
