If you watch the most recent ?World Warrior? (I think) Mena played Luke against Punk instead of Blanka (not sure why)
After getting his DR checked a few times Mena started mixing in DR Sandblast to catch Punk's button, was pretty interesting.
@@itstomisYou gotta. Punk will just get free damage most of the time. Not worth it testing his reactions to check. Easily the best at checking DR in SF6 currently. Gotta be like DeeJay or just DR light in other to catch him.
They need a find a way for the commentators to be able to know when the players are talking and stop so we can hear them
I think the player/commentator levels were also adjusted in post too i guess they think we wanted to hear comms over players sometimes lol

Xiaohai is doing that too much like he is playing SFV or MR1900 ranked and that’s the fact. SF6 simply isn’t just a game that one can mash out crouch and hit confirm into max combo in any situation in high level play.

@@lostone9700Honestly the way this format works even the best team with the strongest players can lose. Anyone can lose FT2 matches along with the sudden anchor match scores soooooo much points to it's the most important win. Punk and Big bird won their matches easily but Mena winning just that 1 game net them just as much points. That alone says that any team can edge it out realistically.

there is a fringe chance he lives lvl3 after all that scaling, xiaohai unfortunately didn't do the most optimal combo there which is why he opted to not spend
@@phantoMpikachu I think it was probably the other way around, he knew he wasn't going to spend it which is why he went for that combo instead
optimized feng shui would have killed right there leaving him with lvl 1

Execution-wise Punk played lowkey bad this set (at least by his own high standards).
He dropped a bunch of divekick inputs, he messed up the lvl2 input and then right after the lvl1 input to close out Game 1 Round 1, and then in game 2 he messed up the b-HK, [delay], b-HK xx ch HK DP xx lvl3 combo as well.
And yet he still won 2-0 lol

He also was lucky with his dive kicks timings catching XH's buttons multiple times.
Yeah because execution is a miniscule part of beating the best players
Doesnt matter, characters like cammy, ken and Marissa can afford that.

PR Rog and Nephew did win. Xiaohai’s Juri is just not ready for these high level play.
I disagree I think Kazunoko showed everyone how Cammy should be played. 👀I know he hasn't been in tournaments but his Cammy in my opinion is better than Punks.
Kazunoko definitely knows more setups and optimum stuff, knows more Cammy tech. Has great fundamentals too.
But Punk's fundamentals and reactions are even better. And he's recently been incorporating more optimal stuff.
It's really a toss up at this point on who's better. Both have strengths different areas.
Around EVO I'd think Kazunoko slightly edges Punk. Now not so sure. And even during EVO Punk got 3rd place with mostly fundamentals.
@@Un1234l Well to be fair, showing everyone how a character is played is about their setups, gameplan and optimal stuffs. Having better reactions is not showing people how its played because not everyone can have the same level of reaction nor can it be learned like setups.
