I started windsurfing again a few months ago, after buying a 2014 Starboard Carve. Someone saw my lack of downhaul (and lack of knowledge) and recommended your channel. I'm so grateful for your videos, they have the perfect explanations combined with the perfect scenery and views. After watching your 'getting in the footstraps' video earlier this week and finally having some good wind I had my frontfoot in the strap for a millisecond and I was so happy! Also a relief to see your feet are also not in the footstraps at low winds (I was beginning to wonder if you're always in the footstraps and I'm doing something wrong). Thanks very much for your videos! They make a lot of people happy!
Yeh! Good on you getting stuck in! Hopefully you can make it to vass next summer for some face-2face coaching together- email in the description! The cut outs aren’t new technology… but they’ve been refined and developed over the years! 👌
Cookie, thanks for the time and effort you into these videos. So, if I may , which model and volume , Carve or Futura, would you recommend for a silver haired intermediate at 90 kg looking to extend his sessions energy wise Would be using it with a max size of 7.5 free ride sail. Currently use a 120 Tabou Rocket Wide
Very nice board, however €2500,- is a lot. So I got a beautiful 2023 Woodsandwich 129 ltr Carve two months ago. Are there big changes over a span of two years that you know of, or are they pretty much the same?
Was actually going to post the same comment ... No wonder why you find older models picking up dust in the shops. The problem is not only for starboard tho. I dont get the way windsurfing products are priced nowaday ... Just overpriced for one or two seasons and then 30% or 40% discount for basically the same products.
@@Cookiesports thanks for the reply. But the question still remains, are there significant differences / updates compared to the Carves of 2022 up til now? Thanks.

Btw my 2014 Carve has the same sort of cutouts on the rear underside!

Thanks Cookie for this and the other videos. I'm thinking of buying a Carve and this has convinced me
Yes- do it- you’ll love it!
Hope you can make it to Bass next summer for some coaching too!
I clicked on this video for tips to improve my starboard carve gybes. My port gybes are pretty good 😂
Haha! I have many other videos on the Challenor to help your gybes… both port and starboard!

Jist bought the 2023 carve 129
29 non-wood sandwich for that % discount you mentioned. A great value
Our aim should be to get more and more people into the sport… higher the demand for kit, the lower the prices! 👍👍

Oh man I wanted the wood sandwich version so bad but it wasn't in stock so I got the starlight carbon one. Mine is also 129.
Seasonal windsurfing gear hype vs US election Hype.....hmmmm .....similar levels!
🤣
