- Just a quick intro into how I swapped my K20/K24 Honda Fit with the help of my awesome brother.

Paul, great introduction video. Here a few tidbits of info that may find helpful.
1.CANBUS comms errors exist because the cluster and ecu operate using different coding. Unfortunately the TSX ecu doesn't communicate perfectly. There really isnt an OEM ecu solution that works for this swap and will require something with modified base coding. We are working with Brian G and Ktuner for a solution ecu.
2. Fit ecus can run Kseries engines but they lack VTC control output. If a person wanted to eliminate VTC this could be a good option.
3. The Autel MaxiSys scan tools work to program immobilzers and are far more affordable and attainable than the snapon modus scanners

I just watched your video and the first thing that came to mind was Seamus! I reached out to him for advice since he has a couple k swapped fits. He mentioned the instrument cluster coms issues. He is super knowledgeable.
So if you get an aftermarket cam and do a vtec delete, there’s no reason you can’t run a chipped fit ecu ?

Paul hopefully you follow through with more how to videos. I'm glad this chassis is starting to grab the attention and you are a godsend for trying to guide people in the right direction. You could spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars going down the wrong path. Between Seamus's advice and your videos, doing my swap will become a reality. I dont know how many k-swapped GD3s are in PA but ide like to complete mine some time this year. Thanks for the information and videos!!

My 09 sport is still running strong. When the L15 gives up the ghost I am going to K swap. Don't plan on a crazy motor, just a stock K20 from a CRV or something like you said. Sourcing parts and thinking things through until the day comes.
You're taking your time with those other videos! I keep checking back. Very interesting. I want to do this swap using a K24 with K20 head.
in the UK the model after the ep3 type r we had was the civic fn2 which is a k20 powered civic hatch the header from that fits on the jazz so you just need to fabricate back from there

Hey, I’ve just found your video. I’m in 🇬🇧 uk. Looking to do the same. As you rightly said, I have companies here who have blown me off to. I know it works but it’s so difficult to narrow down what I actually need so your video and website is really helpful. It at least a gives a good base to help us do it here. Obviously there is differences but your info helps us narrow down the parts we need this end.
How much would you charge if I brought you the engine, trans, axles, and we intend to dual-boot ECU’s?

Fantastic job especially for a first video! Love this so much! The AC issue has been my biggest draw back. I know Steve was going to use some ARC parts on his, so really excited to see what you come up with! Equally as excited about the cheaper motor options. I’ve always just wanted the A3, as if the fit was an actual 07 car it probably would’ve come with it, atleast in an option/trim. Can’t wait to see more videos!
Hey Paul, I've had this swap in the back of my mind for awhile and I'm glad to hear you found a single-ECU solution. Please keep us in the know if you figure out that budget swap that would utilize the stock Fit ECU. That's pretty great that the TSX is so close ECU and axle-wise.

Glad I came across your video. Got bit by the K series bug ever since I started working at the Honda dealership. One of my coworkers got a blown K from a type R and he's going to put it in his EK. I have a 2015 Fit and I'm Piecing together a K series. I have a K24A1 block I found locally on Facebook marketplace. Thanks for the info and I'll sub your channel.

Nic Laughlin yep! Shouldn’t be too hard since they made a model that came in 4wd in Japan. The driveline tunnel is already there.

Have any updates on the k swap fit?
is cause of the eld you have to run two ecu's . one to run the engine and the other to run the gauges. Hasport and k-tuned finally has products to make it easier. I didnt know the headers would be a tight fit from k24. Thanks for the info.

The you tube algorithm is insane! My wife's fit engine just took a dump and I was looking into swap options and this shows up. Great content man. There is an acura rsx at my local junk yard. If I get that engine and trans, do I also need the cpu or would I need to get the txs one? I want to take the opportunity and make this k20 happen. Thanks

Why is it so hard to find a 07/08 TSX K24 to 07 GD3? I'd love to do this swap but thought there'd be a plug and play out there. Not saying that I can't wire a harness myself, but doing it right I'd go too far buying stuff lol. Do you have any idea where I could purchase such?

HI Paul. I am a late Fit bloomer, just returned back to the states. I am thinking on aK20Z3 swap. The only reason is that I have one here that is in great condition. My Fit is also, with minor dings. (An '07) My second thought, a bit more fun...is looking at making it AWD, using the older CR-V diff and such. Do you have...or can you direct me to more updated swap do's and can't do's? Thx!

I actually went with the K24. I think it really depends on what your goals are and what you're going to use the car for. Both have advantages.

Hi I traded my GD auto fit for a 5 speed GE fit. I did this trade because I am getting ready for k24 swapping the 5 speed GE fit. please tell me I didn't mess up. Would he GE be the same as the GD for k24 swap???

Me and my girl are trying to k swap our 2013 Fit ,not trying to break the bank either , I know but the engine can be a bit expensive but overall how much did you spend to get the swap ,?the way you break it down sounds inexpensive and not complicated like everyone else makes it seem , would love to know more about this Fit monster ,
It cost me a lot more because I had a lot of trial and error finding the parts that worked. Not including engine maintenance, fluids, etc my cost for actual parts including the header was just over $4k.

I'm going to vlog my kswap on my 2009 honda fit ge8 soon. So far I have the motor and trans (k24z2 with a PNN3 Si trans) and HAsport motor mounts. Really want to see how you did the shifter cable and stock rsx/civic so axles with bolt on?!?

Can’t say for sure as I’ve only swapped the 07-08, but I believe RSX axles will work on the 09+ too.
