Oh I was watching alright Quin 😂😂 so much of this video is SUCH a mood; jammed cables, forgetting the RAM, questioning my life choices... the speed and serenity however with which you reassembled that thing is impressive, I'd have had a few expletives to use and have stared in desperation at my copy of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson wondering why he hath forsaken me so. 😂 Also I felt that laugh at the end, it just slowly turning to a cry 😂
Thanks for watching as always, these kind words keep me going with the videos haha. Yes, I did feel quite forsaken at times, and trust me there were expletives off camera… I’m so relieved I didn’t kill the thing hahahaha.
Thank you, for another enjoyable video. You sound like myself, when working at times to upgrade my glossy white 20-inch G5 iMac with its ups and downs (smile...smile).
Ups and downs for sure!!! This type of hobby comes with frustrations as you know but i reckon it’s worth it! Thanks for watching again, your support is hugely appreciated!
I own the 1.8GHz model and it was designed by Apple to be fully upgraded by the average home computer user. The base model did not ship standard with an airport card so, want to add one later no problem, what more RAM no problem, want a larger hard drive no problem, etc.
I don't know off the top of my head, sorry! Next time I tear this thing down I'll reply back. In the meantime, you should be able to find some with google - if I recall correctly, it's the SATA III drives it hates.
Nice to see the iMac all upgraded! It’ll be cool to see what it can do, and the iPod will be fun to use with it!
Thanks for watching!
Yes, i’m having a lot of fun setting up the ipod with it :)

thank you for showing how to disassemble the g5!
re-pasting is often a good thing to do, so i've heard quite a few times.
Yep!
It’s almost essential on these old machines. Thanks for watching!
I am in awe!
Haha, thank you! :-)
It's honestly a shame that you have to cover al those sexy internal components with with the screen
I know right!?

I didn’t actually reference a complete tutorial with this, I had a look at a few and kinda just got the gist.
