The Yellow Stone National Park brought me here. I am sure this video is the very first one created by Gaijin to introduce Hachimantai National Park, which is not popular and unknown among foreign tourists. Thank you for GoNorth.Keep it up , Good work. By the way,I was actually living in one of the abandoned apartment till 1970.
No, I have been living in the United States for the last 30 Years. I was a elementary school kid when the factory closed .I remember that ,around 69? all the workers disappeared suddenly , like a diaspora .
Wow your quality and format is beautiful! I had to visit your channel after hearing you in sharlas video you have a great voice and articulate way of explaining things! 😍
Hey! It’s Sharla in Japan! So nice to see sucha nice person sharing your video!😊 Nice person with other nice persons for the win!😊 And yet another abandonned place... so many places in Japan share that same fate that were bound to reflexion, making us think on how time changes things leaving broken dreams on its wake😞 And, seriously Quinlan, only three!? There’s like a thousand reasons🤩! All those videos sharing Hachimantai and those other mountains that are a like your house out of your house. All those moments, all those sounds and those images, brushes of color, of life, in nature’s canvas, those are more than enough reasons to visit Hachimantai and its sibilings. In the end to go to Tohoku🙂.
Very beautiful shot by drone, I want to go here, next time if I will know if how to go to this place, Take care always bro...thanks for your guide to climb mt Iwate,
Thank you for posting such great videos! This has been on my bucket list for a while. If Japan reopens, I hope I can go to Hachimantai by very late October. Would you say the road conditions are still OK by then? I hope I won't need winter snow tires yet!
Sorry I’m going to be fussy. I couldn’t help noticing that you were walking on the road at the beginning of the video and all the cars behind you were forced to wait or move to the other side. You should be more cautious about the traffic around you. I love your video👍
Actually, they weren't waiting for us. Really and truly! The area that we were was off to the side and the cars just went right by on the other side. Plus it's a side road and the only cars there are also there to see the ruins, so many were stopped to take photos, gaze up, etc.. If you go there you'll see what I mean. We genuinely weren't blocking traffic or causing any trouble to drivers or pedestrians WHATSOEVER. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for the awesome day Quinlan :D
I'll think of more fun for next time!
we heard you Sharla - you gotta do it now ;) hehe
Spending so much time in a country alone, are you married?? , im sure tons of ladies would like to know, cheers
Just found your channel through Sharla and now I'm watching all of your videos. How is this channel not more well known?
Thank you so much!
Just discovered this channel through the Abroad in Japan ghost video. Good!! Keep on creating more content please! I'm sure it will take off
Nice! Not just a hike - very informative. I visited the 8 “hells” in Beppu, Oita. Love these kinds of places.
I visited those Beppu hells back in 2003. Great town!
love the way you tell the history of the place as you show it!
7:01 i burst out laughing HAHAHA
LOL, glad you enjoyed the story!
I am always willing to swear that Iwate is the most beautiful place on Earth.
It's definitely up there!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW That geiser story. I don't see why they didn't just push him into the geiser... >_>
Yeah, I rather wondered why the women didn't grab him and throw him in instead... I had the same thought.
Candie is so beautiful :O

Quinlan is the alter ego of Chris Broad, like Yin & Yang. Great vid and superb writing & pacing. Keep it up much love from 🇵🇭
Love the story behind how the place got their names. Please keep it up.
You and Sharla should start dating and then make a new youtube channel as a couple in Japan for 2021. :)
Quinlan , seriously. you are talking to in front of my backyard.
Let's not follow that example. Wise words!

The road conditions should still be fine in October! I don't switch my tires until November usually.
Awesome views!
Right?!
That mountain hike looks amazing! It looks like a great time of year to be there with all those fall colors.
Winter is coming!
Awesome video my man! just went on this hike because of this video!

Such a gorgeous area!
I really think so!
Interested to join you during hiking , I live in Tokyo. Lets meet up.. :)

Oh sorry I didn’t see it. I should have known you better.
@@palemoon1904 Not at all! Kind of you to be so concerned about other drivers and such!
Oh, I just realized what scene you were talking about. The cars you were seeing were all parked cars actually, just so you know.
