My preliminary plan for a future trip to Japan has me following the fall foliage starting in hokkaido and heading south from there, though that might have more to do with following pleasant hiking and walking temperatures and the colors are a bonus. I've been doing a lot of hiking here in my home state of Colorado in the past couple weeks and the colors are gorgeous, only downside of this time of the year is how little time there is to appreciate it, the leaves are gone in a flash. Mostly bright yellow aspen trees here, never experienced reds and oranges like this video, looks amazing.
What a gorgeous trail. I'm really a sucker for autumn colours. Here in Finland they already arrived a while ago. Last week I saw a racoon dog (related to tanukis) on my way back from a hike.
I would totally love to make one- but not sure of what service I could use for that. I don't know of any service where I could upload photos to make a calendar that would then be available for sale. I'm all ears if you know of something!
Whenever I get tired of all the negativity on the www, I watch a Quinlan video. Thanks so much. This is indeed beautiful. So much better than arguing with strangers about politics. :)
thank you for sharing these spots with us!! Im not much of a hiker but I do love doing easy ones like this, and these are just stunning! I'm definitely adding these to my list!
A stunning walk and so much variety too! I've ordered a GNJ sticker for my laptop :) Hopefully it will spark some conversation when people see it when I travel.
Stunning! It reminds me of our hike from the top of MT. Misen on Miyajima back to the Temple. We started out pretty late and took our time going down. Its a paved path all the way. But is a winding and twisting path full of suprising views and hidden mini-shrines. In hindsight it would probaly have been better climing UP, and then taking the ropeway (cable car) DOWN! Thanks again Quinlan for bringing us the magic of Japan! Can't wait until we can go back to the land of the rising sun!
Hope I can plan a vacation to japan in the autumn at least once, to enjoy this sight myself. Did Japan in spring and summer but it is hard to plan on going in the autumn. Glad you capture these sights for us Quinlan.
This vlog is a little outside of your regular range, parts of it are just, I don't know, calming, mesmerizing... Those Ōu Mountains absolutely putting on a show with the 紅葉 colours and the fog. Just otherworldly, thanks Quinlan ☕🙏 (suggestion: it might be interesting to try and edit some of the sections walking around the Hacimantai ponds into a long silent loop, like one of those atmospheric videos, I don't know what they call them... ?😴)
That would be great... but I think the stone steps and wooden boardwalks would be pretty hard for a wheelchair. But there are some great viewing areas and observation platforms near the parking lots that are wheelchair accessible, so it would be good to visit the area, for those at least!
@@GoNorthJapan European forests turn shades of yellow, and where I live we also don't have a lot of forests with deciduous trees. It's still pretty, but my mother was convinced your photos of Hachimantai were photoshopped 😂 We get only a couple of trees with shades of red.
Depends where you live in the US. Some parts are little to no color change. The Northeastern and East part of the country have great color changes in fall.
Has anyone thought that Quinlan looks like a younger Ian MacKellan (Gandalf)? He's got good camera presence so if anyone is thinking of doing a Middle Earth prequel...? Just saying....
Quilan Wife: had ur lunch? Quilan: had ur lunch? Quilan wife: m asking u.. Quilan: m asking u... Quilan wife: u copying me Quilan:u copying me Quilan wife: lets go shopping Quilan:yes i had my lunch Hope it made u laugh😁
Thank you for introducing us to the north mountains of Japan. 👍
The combination of autumn color and mountain mist is captivating! I so look forward to each adventure you share!
Ooowww, I miss Japanese mountains in Autumn. (And I live in the Alps) it just looks different.

You could make a calendar with all the great shots you get on your hikes.
I'd totally buy one!!

Danke!
Thank you so much as always! It really means a lot!
Absolutely enchanting! I love hiking in the mist as well, there's something magical about it.
The opening with the mist behind you! Gorgeous!
This was such a beautiful video, looking forward to more videos like this that capture autumns' gorgeous colours 🍁🍂 Great job!
Feels like autumn came out of no where this year
It has in Dallas!!! Went from high 90s to high 80s in less than a week.
Up here it's been a steady journey toward autumn. I guess more sudden down in your neck of the woods!
Loving these autumn 🍂 walks and what colourful shirt you have on 😂
I got so excited to see the interior of the lodge...then...😢 but beautiful, nonetheless. Thank you !
Hahaha, sorry!

Living vicariously through these videos, thank you 🥰
It seems so early for fall colors! I'm sure it's cooler up north than I'm used to.
A stunning walk and so much variety too! I've ordered a GNJ sticker for my laptop :) Hopefully it will spark some conversation when people see it when I travel.
Really appreciate it!! Thanks!
I have a GNJ sticker on my Japanese Kei car. Also got a shirt too!!!

Great video btw. As usual.

That's interesting! I hadn't thought of doing something like that... Could try!
This trail looked like an extract from the mystical Japanese era.
Thanks for the valuable info
The hoodie is great , buy one !
Always happy about you dropping a video
Another amazing video !
No such thing as Autumn colours in Brisbane, Australia so this was an especially beautiful video to watch.
Thanks!
Arigato gozaimasu Quinlan san for such amazing sights!!!
Thank you so much I really appreciate it!!
It actually looked like you could get a wheelchair up there which would be amazing for someone with a disability

Hmmm 紅葉見 or 花見 ? 🤔
It's so sad that fall in Europe has nothing on fall in Japan or the US...
Oh really? In Europe you don't get the same kind of colors? Or maybe just in parts of northern Europe?
