    They already have a Formula E race series with F1 cars using only electric motors. The battery tech in those cars is already 10 years ahead of what is being sold today. They are insanely fast and the pit times are much quicker.

      Not a single fact spoken in this statement.
      Formula E = Not formula 1, not even close. The speed is not impressive at all. Pit times much quicker? Than what? F1 pits in under 2 seconds.

    I understand what Joe is saying but he is wrong.
    It’s not necessarily about the newness of the car, it’s that automobiles aren’t as deeply symbolic now as they were in the past.
    During the heyday of American automobile industry, ford, gmc etc were a source of national pride.
    The advertising, the innovation, the American muscle car made you feel like some type of maverick.
    Nowadays cars are more like gadgets, like a new phone. Cool pieces of tech and not much more. Very sanitized, focused on convenience and safety. Culturally we were not connected to cars the way we once were.

    Just use sound specific cut gears in the electric cars. You would have to learn to balance the winding sound.

    theres a difference between cars back then and cars now.... a car from 15 years ago, 2008... is heavily rusty, has soo much electric junk that it has problems... and is made of pure plastic, the car brands now are making shortcuts... if they can find ways to make everything as cheap as possible, they will make more profit, so some of the new cars that are like 30,000$ probably cost like 5,000$ for the company to produce it, its kinda like the Titan Submarine, the guy made the submarine out of like cardboard and used a playstation controller... WHY? because he was probably gonna plan to sell 10,000 of them for like 1M+ Each if it worked, it wouldve made him 490K-990K Profit Per Sale, and since he was a billionaire... he could build alot of them, but he didnt understand that if Heavy $1B Military submarines cant even go that deep... his shitty cardboard $10K playstation one wouldnt have either, as a young man i would never get a 2008 like Ford or Porsche... thats alot of problems, if i bought a car from 15 Years ago for lets say $5K... in 5 years it would milk easily $10K-30K out of me just because of its problems mechanically and electrics, because the parts are rare or expensive... so a car that is a piece of junk made from cheap material with expensive parts... vs a car from 1955 that is made from highest quality for a cheap price and high power.... which had millions of spare parts at the time, you could probably find all the parts you need in your local neighborhood for it, i look at a 2010 car as ''OLD AS SHIT'' and ''I dont want to drive it or own it''.... i look at a 1920s-1960's car as ''Timeless'' and ''i will def own one or a few soon or build one'' like the Soviet car ''Lada'' or ''VAZ'' or ''BA3'' a car made in the 60's-70's is still on the roads today... millions of them, want to know why? because they were cheap, quality, and there was millions of parts for them for CHEAP, reliable... no rust anywhere, easy to fix, now you buy a car thats from 2017 (which seems new) but then it has like heavy rust underneath, the plastics inside are cracking... theres 1000 electric problems, and it keeps breaking, a headlight (even a used one) is for sale for like 400$ per... its a waste of time, so for me its.... either i get a car from 1920s-1990s that i just fix myself because they are easy to fix and cheap, or i buy a 2023 brand new car and dont worry about anything for 5 years.

    • @Latvians
      @Latvians 10 місяців тому

      thats the beauty of modern day... back in the day when Ford was Starting out, they spent lets say 4,900$ making a car.... sold it for 4,999$.... now brands spends 4,900$ making a car and sell it for 90,000$.... Beats By Dre - 60$ To Make, Sold for 900$.... i wouldnt be surprised if iphone takes apple like 90$ to make....if you find a way in future to make or invent something that will change the humanity forever, like how ''cars'' or ''phones'' did, and it takes you lets say 200$ to make that thing, dont sell it for 200, 250, 300... sell it for 5,000$+ each, humans will buy it... we have gotten more retarded over time, look at the New Kids.... their whole life is now ''Tablet'' and ''Phones'' even i... a early 2000's kid, had a brick phone up until like 2019, i would go outside and play in the playground all day... ride bikes, every kid is now on their phones, theres alot of products that have change humanity... that cost CHEAP, and Millions-Billions Bought, but the people who invented them/made them & launched them, sold them for cheap profit.... lets say RING doorbell cameras, or like Drones, if they sold a RING camera for 1000$ each.... nothing would change, everyone wouldve still bought them the company would be x500 times richer, if they sold drones for like $5K each (even the shitty ones).... people would still buy, now alot of militaries are buying up Billions of them for War and stuff, so the inventor of Drones couldve been the worlds first Trillionaire but he decided to sell his product for the price of its actual materialistic value.

    71 cuda runs a 1/4 mile over a full second quicker than a 2023 Accord, a half second faster than 2017 Maycan S, and same as 2023 Giulia Quadifoglio. A 71 cuda is still really fast

    • @EricFixalot
      @EricFixalot 9 місяців тому +3

      A Cuda is like a 13 second car assuming it's even tuned right which they never are. A Civic type R runs like 12.7 and you don't have to worry about adjusting carbs. I love muscle cars but they are not fast stock.

    • @greasyginzo
      @greasyginzo 6 місяців тому +1

      This conversation is pointless because Joe's mom's Cuda was offered with probably 5 or 6 different engines and he didn't say what motor it had in it.

    • @EricFixalot
      @EricFixalot 6 місяців тому +1

      @@greasyginzo When you compare even the most powerful barracudas to modern cars they're still relatively slow so there's absolutely a point worth talking about there even without knowing the exact engine.

    • @Paul-vf2wl
      @Paul-vf2wl 6 місяців тому +1

      He says Cuda but it was probably a base model Barracuda with a slant 6.

    • @greasyginzo
      @greasyginzo 6 місяців тому +1

      @@EricFixalot That is a different conversation altogether. The OP was quoting 1/4 mile times. That convo is pointless because the difference between the quickest and slowest cuda is something like running high 12's low 13's to high teens or low twenty seconds.
