hey, i have only kala makala ukulele and not tried any other brand...if you get this kala brand then its cool otherwise you can go fir vault or cadence... u can learn using them too.... n regarding tuning it it require more thn kala but it is ok it not not a big issue...initially u need to tuney thn it works fine

Just start with two basic chords with simple down strum, comfort your fingers on these chords and then try shifting between 2 chords. After that we can try another chords and can repeat the process.

Acoustic means you can play it without any speaker requirement means no electric connection semi semi acoustic is in between acoustic and electric ukulele which requires an electric connection as per your choice

Yes ukulele strings are somewhat soft as compared to guitar and also it is more easy to learn. You can go with any brand as you mentioned, but kala makala concert will be the better choice if you don’t have much concern with budget
