    Even at lightning speed his notes are clear and articulate. He's right up there with Jaco that way.

    So basically what he calls a "warm up" is where 90% of all bass players will never get. Nice...

    That's where a sheet of the score would have proven useful. Great exercise, though, I'll see if I can pick it from the video.

      @maldivirdragonwitch 5 років тому +4

      It's not too difficult to figure out. It's mostly chromatic scales in patterns. Figure out the pattern, then repeat it up and down. Start slow until it sounds right.

    It's the same whatever instrument you play. Work on those weak outside fingers..then learn to play slow, with feel. Virtuosity of itself is BORING.

    • @pvxhayes
      @pvxhayes 9 років тому +1

      +Derek Austin Yea but you gotta give it up that this was incredible. I think one should try for slow, with feel and then go for speed, with feel - as Feraud demonstrates here. :D

    • @skineyemin4276
      @skineyemin4276 7 років тому

      Well, it's boring (most likely) to a person who just wants to pose all day on and off the stage. Splitting the difference as much as one can is really the key. Herbie Hancock, George Duke and Marcus Miller (on some levels) are probably three of the best examples of that.
