My brother passed away in 2004 and that’s when I started scrapbooking. My best friend had been trying to get me involved with creative memories for a few years, but I thought I just didn’t have the time. After the sudden passing of my sweet brother I just wanted to get as many memories as I could scrapbooked. It was the best therapy ever. I cried, laughed and shared his life as I remembered it. I’ve never slowed down since. Love scrapbooking and creative memories and your videos.
Hi! Such a pleasure to find your channel. I started scrapbooking when it wasn’t a “thing” yet, 1983 with Hallmark stickers and plain white cardstock. Divorced 10 years ago and after moving so many times I’m finally settled. My craft supplies had moved with me so many times and had waited for me patiently in a storage unit for long periods. Giving you that background I want to tell you that recently I found my CM supplies and the punches work like brand new. Until today I was in the group that thought CM was done and gone. Glad to see all the new products and your craft room is perfect. Thanks for sharing!
I clearly remember my first page. My friend invited me to a Creative Memories - bring five pictures party. I went to help her out but came away in love with scrap booking. I think I loved it so much because it was something I did that I could actually see what I accomplished. I was a manager at work and generally could not see the fruits of my labors. I stopped in 2007 due to life changes and just recently started back and have even signed up as an Adviser - mainly because I didn't have an Adviser in my area . Love your videos!
I first heard about CM when I saw an ad to join in the back of some craft magazine in 1987. Then, started with CM in about 1990. I went to 3-4 classes (we all got a gift of CM scissors and a small blue photo trimmer for every class we went to and made a purchase. We were asked to bring 6 photos to the class and we each made our very first page! After that I was hooked and became a consultant. Back in those days it was sometimes difficult to reach the companies quarterly goal and upline was always on us to sell more poduct so she could reach her goals. Many of us went into debt in the beginning because we were required to be fully stocked so at classes peopke could go home with product (none of the order & pay now & get oroduct a week later). When I quit it took me 2 years to pay off my credit card. BUT, that has all changed and its a new compsny and much more friendly now. I'm looking forward to becoming a consultant again soon.
I cannot remember my first Creative Memories party - probably prior to 1991. Then another one a few years after. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my daughter that I realized I really needed to get scrapbooking. I was a CM Consultant from about 1998 on til about 2001. I was so sad when they disbanded, and then soooo happy when they came back. I am currently a CM Consultant, but I haven’t done anything in a while. My husband retired in 2018 and we sold our house and moved to a different state and now I’m soon to build my new craft room and can’t wait to get set up and back to scrapbooking. Love your name CraftSomeJoy. Trying to figure out what to call myself.
My friends daughter started to sell Creative memories in 1997. I told her I would come to the party with my 5 photos, but not interested in scrapbooking because I had my photos in books already. Well that was my beginning of scrapping. I have many CM albums, tools, etc. I now have a dedicated scrap room built with love. The last project my husband did before he died in 2018 was put together Ikea cabinets, desk, turned a closet into shelves for storage etc. We shared the room with a computer station for him and a desk for me. I will be moving soon and will duplicate this room in my new house. I feel bad about leaving this room but His memories will move with me. I took a break from scrapping after he died, but I recently put together an album from our 50th anniversary. I now feel ready to finish those unfinished trips and memories. I know I will enjoy my new room, so much of him will be there with me. Creative Memories has the best tools and paper packs. Thank you Lauren for your great videos. So glad I recently found your channel. I so enjoy the videos on organization. I also like organization as much as scrapping. Keep them coming.
I first learned about Creative Memories in July 1986 when my first son was born. In the hospital papers was an add for Shoe Box To Showcase. The add was about getting your pictures out of the shoe box and into beautiful albums. I did not pay much attention at the time. Fast forward to 1996 when my second son was born. In the hospital papers was an add, it said formally known as Shoe Box To Showcase Creative Memories Simple pages completed albums. I have been using Creative Memories products ever since, all my albums are from Creative Memories. Thank you for the videos.
Yes Yes Mandi! I Remember shoebox to showcase! and I am on my own campaign to revive that motto of simple pages (at least most of the time)!! More on that to come!!
@@CraftSomeJoy I think I went to my first party in 1998. I don't really recall what those hardships were but I do remember something was going on. Glad to hear they are having a strong comeback. How long have you been a Consultant?
I can remember the first CM party I went to and the page I created that day from my daughter's wedding. I signed up as a consultant straight away. I loved it. This was in the early 2000s. I didn't do too well as a consultant but still loved the product. I have been considering joining up again especially because your videos are so inspiring. I live in Australia so probably can't sign up under you. Do you know if I can?
"Remarkable, Unforgettable, Classic" Three's A Charm! I Think I will just be a customer! Good Luck with your New Business and you have my support as a shopper! I'll also check out your other Social Media's TFS
New sub here! I was a CM consultant years ago and I am trying to get back into scrapbooking. Right now I am overwhelmed with organizing my supplies during scrapbooking. Do you have any videos on that?
I went to a CM party and told the consultant I would never cut my pictures. I brought the worst pictures I had as we were making one page. I did end up cutting them and making a page which I still have today. I knew too that this was for me and I loved it. That was 23 years ago.
Amelia, I started laughing when I read this! Yes, I think many of us were skeptical to begin, it was so new! Glad to have a kindred spirit scrapbooker! PS, if you want to see my first scrapbook page, head on over to my instagram!
Hi Melanie, Yes there were a lot of rumors! Hope I answered those questions! We do still have a small selection of pocket albums you can find here: www.creativememories.com/shop-all/complete-albums/pocket-albums.html They are now expandable!

A loooong time...❤️ I became a consultant as soon as I fell in live with scrapbooking!

Great information!!
Great job!!!
Thank you Linda! Always appreciate your comments!!
I definitely remember my first page!
Awesome! It’s fun to look back and see our progress 😉❤️
Lauren I have a question, once you reach level 2, do you start over at level one at the end of 12 months or can you keep your 25% discount?
Hi Darlene, it is great, you never have to start over!!! So once you get going the perks just get better ❤️
How do CM consultants find customers? Is it still a home party situation? That would be hard during Covid. Are there other ways?
First page....also my intro to CM!
Gotta love those first pages 😁
I made my first page in 1996 still love CM
Amazing! I do too😉!

CraftSomeJoy I will!!!
Hi Lauren! I love creative memories and wish they would come to Sweden. Do you know if they have any plans of doing that?
Hi Jeanette! I will definitely ask that question!! Right now I know they are in Canada, Australia and Japan.
I was a CM customer until the rumors started. There was a leather scrapbook with pockets on each page to put your photos in. Do you still have those?
Hi Melanie, Yes there were a lot of rumors! Hope I answered those questions! We do still have a small selection of pocket albums you can find here: www.creativememories.com/shop-all/complete-albums/pocket-albums.html They are now expandable!
Heard about you channel on Love RTS on Facebook.
Awesome so glad to have you Shannon!!!
Will CM come back to Europe?😍
I hope so! That would be awesome. I will make it a point to ask!
CraftSomeJoy I would love it❤️
I've checked the CM page and clicked on Canada but then, I get a 404 error :(
Hi Louise, so you are in Canada? I wish I could help you!!! My link is for the US only...😥.
