Some questions were really meh... We need more info about Weapons, if they'll be story bosses or extra content... Those mini Weapons in Rebirth changed the course of some events, since they were supposed to be ressurected when Sephiroth is, but now some of them are already in the wild... That changes everything!
He obviously didn't make these kind of question because Hamaguchi wouldnt answer it. Now.. if you want to be spoiled before the game comes out just watch the final trailers, it will spoil everything.
Things thatcan be add in part 3: 1. Jump button. 2. Add Stamina for running and riding chocobos just like Red dead 2 3. Add fuel for Cars or Highwind like Daysgone. 4. Underwater swimming just like Horizon 2 5. Big underground city something like Nokron city in Elden Ring 6. With Highwind in availability, you can add sky islands in part3 just like Zelda TOTK 7. movable grass. If add these features in part 3 and combine it with awsome storyline, it will get +95 on metacritic and it will be one of the best games of all time for all gamers
The last answer frightening me for the future of FF...from story driven games with big emotions to another open world nonsense and minigames where story is side stuff if its there at all. Etc... Never was happy before when i finally finished off a ff game and put it back on the shelf, till rebirth... I personaly would hope for more of a middle way between remake and rebirth at very least, but it seems unlikely.
FF has always been open world. It sounds like you do not like the golden age legacy FF games. And perhaps something linear like FF13 is more your thing. But the majority of us FF fans don't want walking corridor simulators with auto battle. We would like an open world with a controllable airship and variety of gameplay which is what FF is famously known for.
@@pandaeyez why whenever someone has an actual objective concern, someone has to say stuff like " FF has always been" ? How convenient. Do you people do that on purpose ? Pay more attention to what people actually talk about instead of searching for an argument for the sake of it. Please.
15 is the first open world game of FF and its atleast not as bloated as an ubisoft game. The old stuff u talk about is an overworld map which is just 20 steps with 50 random encounters till next location. That's not an open world. Yeah I actually would put 13 over rebirth, but not bc its just linear, the sequels are better anyway. I'm way more for zones like 12 etc. if we talk about the map design, and still 10 is Despite that my favourit. I also like 8 quiet much. And the old airship is just fast travel with extra steps, I am curious how it works out in part 3 in such a scale but i don't need it. I said i want more a mix atleast and didnt bashed it to the 🗑 bc I absolutely adored some characters and story beats of remake like the avalanche group and Sonon. Then they did the exact opposite of that and created rebirth which kinda abandoned that whole thing I liked bout remake. Gameplay and stats alone doesn't make a game and for sure not an ff attractive to me. pls stop the term "golden age" finally, the only golden Thing is the speed within they released the stuff due to the hardware of that time. Non ff game was ever that terrible how some say and even I who don't like rebirth that much consider it as that bad to call it a dark age game its just a hard miss for me. There are here ant there issues but there was never a dark age aside from the RELASE of 14 1.0 and 15 which are obviously NOT in this state anymore... 14 alone singlehandedly destroyed that term latest after shadowbringers and endwalker. Also Stop the rule in the "fanbase" that everything after Ur fav or first is just trash and 15y later a classic. Its frustrating. Back then 6 fans hatet 7, 7 fans hatet 8 and so on. I often get jumped on when I criticize what I personally don't liked (example being rebirth here) or when I say I like a "Black sheep" more. And rebirth had some moments yes but way less and not as hard many times, and if it happens then it sadly gets instantly destroyed by gold saucer, yuffie, palmer in his Tank (barrets scene) minigames etc. which makes them way less impactful, give the story time to breath... Also the end was a mess tbh.
I just hope they don’t censor and make it for “modern audiences” more than they already have. I just want games to go back to not being worried about offending idiots who don’t even buy or play the games they are offended by. Make games for gamers. Not the small percentage of overly offended subhumans.
@@kranic796how? Because I am tired of games being made for weak people? Just look at the trash dragon age turned into because of them. That the case I don't understand about Square, they were afraid of r word from og and showing the trail of blood in Shinra hq, but in rebirth Cloud is unaliving a goon begging him for mercy. Tho if there's a thing I'm offended by, it is the level of dialogues that seem to be written by someone with the mental age of 15 yo
@@rayoflight1920 right? That’s what I’m talking about, they cut content deemed “offensive” and it’s terrible! Censoring is never a good thing! That’s why I said I hope they don’t go even worse on the censoring and making it for “modern audiences”.
@@pandaeyezhis comment implies that it is his opinion. Why do you respond to your urge of commenting when you dont need to ? Again...pay attention to what people say. 😂
What I'm gathering here is he really needs to learn that less is more. Lots of "This thing was very straight forward in the original, so we added all this unnecessary bullshit".
That's fine, but I don't want the game to swing drastically the other way either and have it be barebones and a barren empty open open world with nothing to do like FFXV. Just make the side content optional and then if you don't like it, you don't do it, and for those who like it, they at least have the option. Which to be fair, is pretty much the case in Rebirth as literally all of the world intel objectives, side quests and most mini games were optional in Rebirth, but this fact seems to be overlooked or ignored.
@@pandaeyez I'm not talking about side content, so much as the design philosophy of the entire game. I'm talking about how what were emotionally resonant scenes in the original, have been overstuffed with ridiculous bombast that ruins the moment - Seto's story, Dyne and of course, Aerith's fate. Did we need to take a trip to hell for an exposition dump about the black materia, right in the middle of Nanaki learning the truth about his father? Did we need a Resident Evil 5 mutation for an awful boss fight with Dyne, who should be a broken man who has lost everything, not a screaming psychopath. Corel prison, which used to be a hellish prison with no hope for those who enter, is now a bright, vibrant Wall Market equivalent, with people coming and going as they please. The point has been missed so much all across the two games, in favour of noise and vapid spectacle. Depth, subtlety, themes, emotions... what are those? "We couldn't do the dolphin game because of no fixed cameras" is a strange take from this interview. It could have been a fixed camera at that moment, for that particular scene. It could have even been a short cutscene. Instead we race the dolphin around a bright course filled with rainbow balloons, in what is supposed to be the dank, depressing underbelly of Junon. Brevity is the soul of wit.
@@ShaneC1991as much as i like the ambition of Rebirth, it showed me one thing for sure. Even when the nowadays creators are determined, they dont believe in the "sense of atmosphere " if that makes any sense. You talked about the prison but lets remember the Kalm case. Its à magnificent village as you can see...no doubt about it. But i wonder why they didnt want to convey the same atmosphère of the original game. Be it in colors and ambiance. The feel of this area was mostly à superficial rendition in rebirth.....okey i found the word: darkness. It lacked the sense of darkness in it. Even in Kalm, you could feel à liiiiittle darkness lurking while you chill in the village. There was always à big care for vibes in the areas of golden age FFs (same with 4 5 and 6)
@SquallSZ Yeah, I agree. Look no further than the Midgar slums in Remake. Everything is bright and people seem generally positive. The darkness, dange and, sense of hopelessness are all gone. It's brighter under the plate than it is above and Wall Market seems more upmarket than the city above, or any of the towns you visit in Rebirth. How are the poor, the dredges of society, the destitute and hopeless... able to afford Wall Market?
In all seriousness though, I think it would be better for then to trim down the quantity of them and focus on further development of the ones that really worked (like they are already doing with Queens Blood)
Same. Like hello, there're ff9 fans out there who still wait for any news about its animated show. At least tell us if it's cancelled so we can put the anticipation to rest
To the hardcore old gamers of final fantasy rebirth was a straight dumpster fire. Adding your spin on the game didn't get the game the OG status that we bought and payed for. We as the older community paved the way for this title for the ps1 now they destroyed everything the game was about. The darkness of the game is gone and that's what sold it. Squaresoft is losing money by the wheelbarrow if people say the title is so good why is it losing cash. I got one reason it lost it's core audiences. Make a game for the masses and you going to make a disaster.
The og was really quirky and had a weird sense of humor. If you think it was all dark and serious all the time, then you either forgot or did not understand the og's appeal. The og also had an open world with mini games same as Rebirth. Rebirth is just actually to scale so everything seems bigger and more vast. Also I love the og, but I replayed it recently and the battle gameplay is boring, there is no strategy, it doesn't matter what attack or magic or materia equipment you set, for 90% of the game you can just spam attack or any magic and it makes no difference. Only Ruby and Emerald weapon require strategy. At least Rebirth evolves on the battle system with its ATB turn based action, character specific roles and type and elemental weaknesses, stagger conditions etc. But this is the problem with you purists, blinded by nostalgia that you can't actually evaluate things properly. As soon as the Remake was announced years ago, I knew people like you would complain simply for it existing, simply for having different camera angles or slight changes in dialogue. It's ridiculous. FF is always evolving and trying new things, but the purist fans are the worst part trying to hold back innovation and demanding the same rehashed shit over and over.
@pandaeyez Look, I don't appreciate the purists either. However, nothing you or I, or anyone says, will change their minds. It's best not to start arguing with people who were never going to be open-minded to begin with. I'm one of those weird people who liked the original game but still hoped the remake would take a different turn. People like me, or people who just enjoy the game for what it is, we do not matter, nor do our opinions. Just enjoy the game if you enjoy it and leave it at that. It's selling poorly because it's locked to one plastic box.
@@pandaeyez You clearly don't understand that they're talking about the story. The one thing you conveniently left out of your rant. The story in the "remakes" are considerably worse. What they mean by "darkness of the game" is the seriousness and weight of the actions the characters make and those around them. Zack's death/sacrifice ruined and ridiculed, Dyne's character/death watered down and neutered, Aerith's death and Cloud's speech ruined. There's no sense of tension or stakes because anyone can just come back to life in another timeline or some nonsense. The directors are more preoccupied with making a spectacle, an amusement ride, instead of an actual gripping story full of loss and perseverance.
@@pandaeyezalways the same old arguments just because its convenient. People who you deem nostalgic might say objective stuff but it it does not suit you, you have the same arguments as people who only buy games for spectacle and instant gratification.

Those mini Weapons in Rebirth changed the course of some events, since they were supposed to be ressurected when Sephiroth is, but now some of them are already in the wild... That changes everything!
Tbf I doubt they would have been able to answer those questions at this stage of development. Not without getting in trouble anyway 😏
He obviously didn't make these kind of question because Hamaguchi wouldnt answer it. Now.. if you want to be spoiled before the game comes out just watch the final trailers, it will spoil everything.
You misunderstood the point of the interview. It was just to talk about Rebirth's development, not about Part 3. Try to pay more attention next time.
Things thatcan be add in part 3:
1. Jump button.
2. Add Stamina for running and riding chocobos just like Red dead 2
3. Add fuel for Cars or Highwind like Daysgone.
4. Underwater swimming just like Horizon 2
5. Big underground city something like Nokron city in Elden Ring
6. With Highwind in availability, you can add sky islands in part3 just like Zelda TOTK
7. movable grass.
If add these features in part 3 and combine it with awsome storyline, it will get +95 on metacritic and it will be one of the best games of all time for all gamers
Anything on IX remake?
It's cancelled.
Da big HamaGOOCH!!
Cool
piano and card games would have been enough imo; many annoying ones tied to quests....
Rebirth isnt a game with big emotions? Wild...
@@SquallSZ thanks man, that's what I mean.
nobody asking what the hell they’re doing with the story of the game 😂
Goty
Talk as much as you like SE, if your game don't come to steam, I won't be playing because I won't buy PS5!
I just hope they don’t censor and make it for “modern audiences” more than they already have. I just want games to go back to not being worried about offending idiots who don’t even buy or play the games they are offended by. Make games for gamers. Not the small percentage of overly offended subhumans.
Sounds like you're an offended subhuman
@@kranic796how? Because I am tired of games being made for weak people? Just look at the trash dragon age turned into because of them. I don’t want Japanese game companies to follow suit and change into trash like BioWare. It sounds like you got offended by what I said, I take it you love the woke garbage?
Take your culture war bullshit somewhere else, you're the only here looking to be offended.
Ff union? Are they commie now? 😂😂😂
Those mini games were generic tier. Less of those. Some have a fun fresh feel but others are like "wtf were you thinking"
I fookin loved them... the chicken one was my fav
@@danpayton7301 Same! They were fun!
They're just mini games anyway, and most are optional. People need to chill out.
So... this guy is the reason stuff got the go ahead and rebirth is so bloated with crap??
I know, it's got an open world and mini games, just like the original. Oh wait...
A bad game made by a fake fan🤑
I did not enjoy the remakes so far. I'll admit i'm a bit of a purest but they are just poor excuses to the index of Final Fantasy.
in your opinion
@@pandaeyezoh my gad...
There was always à big care for vibes in the areas of golden age FFs (same with 4 5 and 6)
@SquallSZ Yeah, I agree.
IMO it would've been better to just read your great subtitles while hearing Naoki himself esp for those who can understand Japanese
No more mini games, please !!! I do not need to spend 5 hours trying to master a piano
No just give me more
No more than 30 ☝️🙂↔️
In all seriousness though, I think it would be better for then to trim down the quantity of them and focus on further development of the ones that really worked (like they are already doing with Queens Blood)
Nah I love minigames. And they are optional anyway
Then don't?
Sigh, so tired of hearing about 7....
Same. Like hello, there're ff9 fans out there who still wait for any news about its animated show. At least tell us if it's cancelled so we can put the anticipation to rest
I mean, Creative Studio 1 is pretty busy with the Remake project, so you'll just have to get used to it until the Remake trilogy finishes.
@rayoflight1920 if the 9 re.ake exists, it will get its marketing push as well. But since it's not announced, there is no news.
@@pandaeyezthe quirk is why we always wanted à japanese game over à western one. It was refreshing and made people remember those games fondly.
@@pandaeyezalways the same old arguments just because its convenient. People who you deem nostalgic might say objective stuff but it it does not suit you, you have the same arguments as people who only buy games for spectacle and instant gratification.
Button mashing and boring stagger mechanics, the battle system is so bad
wish you would of asked questions about the censorship that was added in this game..
What censorship? What did Rebirth not have the og had? Pretty much the same.
So sick of remakes
