@@jeanedougherty4404 hi Jeane! What beautiful experiences you have of birth with your own 6 experiences and your daughters and now grand children and greats! Congratulations on grand #12 coming soon! What a beautiful blessing each one is! I love how you said birth is the highest human experiences bc I most certainly agree!
This was such a blessing to watch. I’m currently half way through 39 weeks with my second baby and preparing for my first home birth. Thank you for sharing this precious moment with us. Watching more experienced birthing women is such a gift to women who are giving birth for the first or second time… I can see how much you trusted and went with your body at every step of the way. I am praying for a birth like this for me! Congratulations to you guys ❤

What a beautiful birth. Fellow home birthing mama here and I love that you are sharing the beauty of birth at home. It is, of course beautiful wherever it happens though. Congrats on your newest little miracle.💕💕
Your last birth story, the accidentally unassisted birth, was one that greatly inspired me to have my fourth baby at home. I’d had 3 cesareans and no provider would accept me as a vbac patient so I decided to stay home and do it myself. When I discovered your video it really helped me to envision what it might look like for me to have my baby at home. I am 23 weeks pregnant now and I’m again trying to decide whether or not to stay home. My previous cesareans do add some more weight to my decision but I so loved being at home after the birth. Your stories give me a lot of confidence and push me to take better care of myself before giving birth. Thank you so much for sharing your story!
@@khow430 hi Katie! This means so much to me! Thank you for sharing with me how my birth stories have impacted you. That’s truly why I share them to open more eyes to the beautiful journey that birth can be, uninterrupted and in its own timing! Congratulations on your current pregnancy! I’m so excited for you and pray you have another beautiful birth!! I’m actually appalled that you could not find a provider willing to help you with a VBAC! I thought more and more were opening up to helping women accomplish this!
I was pretty amazed at how it all went. I live in a pretty rural area so there aren’t loads of options. I was flat turned down by three midwives because of malpractice insurance reasons. My OB who delivered my third child doesn’t deliver anymore so he referred me to the hospital laborists. They pushed a cesarean so had and tried every scare tactic and horror story but honestly I felt very much led by the Lord to have a vbac and then to have him at home. They tried to schedule a surgery for my at 40 weeks when I requested a prenatal appointment to check his position and I had to be somewhat firm in telling them no thanks, I won’t be there. They wanted to schedule at 41 or 42 weeks and I again said not unless there’s a real medical reason. And then I ended up delivering at 40+4 weeks at home with my husband and three close friends there. My best friend caught him and he’s perfectly healthy and happy at 8 months now.
So beautiful! Expecting our second early October and my first home birth. I am dwelling on that scripture! Congratulations to you and your family on your sweet new baby! God Bless you! PS I do love the open skirt you had on during labor - can you share where you bought it from?
