I just installed this on my ‘05 SR5 V8. Took a bit of trimming to fit right. But that was SUPER easy with a drimmel. Ultimately fit and looks great! Just waiting till tomorrow morning to remove the weight and tape. Already looks 1,000x times better. Thanks for making such a great product for us 4th Gen lovers! 👍🏼

I ordered one of these for my 2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5…it is fantastic!!! Installed easily and made the dash look like new. It was so depressing looking at my old cracked Dash every day… It’s a huge problem with this generation of 4Runners. Problem solved! For those who have questions about the airbag… The cutaway panel, which installs separately, allows the airbag for the passenger seat to function normally

I was notified of the dash recall (letter) informed that a second letter was coming to finally ensure there was enough supply in my area and then NOTHING ever again. So I missed the deadline (of course waiting for a second letter) and then cracks were not horrible but they are reaching out to touch anything now days.
My 2002 Toyota Solara's dash is fine, durable, sunlight resistant. My 4Runners is a cracked eggshell expanding sponge.
So why Toyota came out with this new dash material mess is a mystery.

Nice video. Can it be installed without gluing it down? That would allow for easy removal and cleaning. In other words does it sit pretty good without the glue
Yes, some customers do this because the fit is really snug. One issue that might come up with is when it gets really hot, it might warp some. I spoke with one customer that said it would do this, but then it "settled" back down also. We couldn't guarantee that would be the case however.
Hi, I just bought a 2005 4RUNNER with one of these already installed. But there's a speaker in the center of the dash that is covered up. What are my options for getting access to the speaker without destroying the dash cover?

You can heat up the dash with a heat gun or blow dryer and remove the cover that is on there now - FMI please call our Customer Care Team at 800-633-7090.
Do you make this but right hand drive for the 2004 Toyota Hilux Surf? Same as the 4runner but mirrored as its right hand drive. thanks!

By cementing the air bag overlay, does it interfere w/ the operation of the air bag's ability to deploy?
In our test we have done, the airbag cover deploys back toward the windshield and it doesn't interfere with airbag deployment. If this was a concern, we tell customers the airbag cover is optional, it is there to use if you would like to.
If you decide NOT to seal the dash in place with silicone did your test show any interference with the air bag?
@@ryanoneill3154 On the one we tested, there was no interference with the airbag when it deployed and the airbag cover was deployed back to the windshield. So there should be no reason to not silicone the cover on to the dash. Also it is perfectly fine to not use our airbag cover if you choose not to install this portion.
