If the base ISO of C200 is 800 and I want to shoot wide open. Am I better to use the ND or to drop the ISO? Which will cause the least drop in quality? (I'm going to guess to use the ND)

There is no drop in quality at ISO settings below 800. However, you have more highlight protection at 800 and above. If you are shooting in a situation where you can control highlights (like a studio setting) shooting at ISO settings below 800 may be advantageous, and will yield greater shadow detail. This is because of the way the dynamic range is distributed.

Its about time Jem. Been looking forward to this. Hopefully can learn something from this series and transfer to the C300 mkii. The 4k RAW workflow is something Canon has not touched on much. Can you point me in the right direction? There is limited info about this.

Hi Greg. If you're interested in more about 4K Cinema RAW Light workflow, we have another video in this series you'll want to see. Check it out at ua-cam.com/video/O9DZ87cusiU/v-deo.html

Sorry, im not talking about Cinema RAW Light, im talking about the RAW CDNG the C300 mkii outputs. Is there any information regarding that? It seems that the IRE is half the internal recording

Anyone know if the C200’s buttons light up and if so under what settings is that function under in the menu settings? Thanks!

      Hello:
Button Illumination is a feature that has only been offered on the EOS C700 and EOS C500 Mark II Cinema cameras, thus far. It is not an option on the EOS C200.
We hope this answers your question.

When I output through HDMI on the c200B on a Atomos Monitor, I am not able to get focus peaking or a waveform to show up. Is that normal?

      Hi Jasper:
You can choose to superimpose onscreen display on the video output from the SDI terminal or the HDMI OUT terminal. When activated, the information displayed on your camera’s LCD will be displayed on the external monitor connected to the SDI. Instructions to do this are on page 156 of the C200 instruction manual. Here is a shortcut: Canon.us/z3u9v.

@@CanonUSA Thanks so much for the quick and thorough response! I'm still not 100% clear on that answer though. I don't have any other monitors connected to my C200B except for my Atomos Shinobi through HDMI (I don't have the Canon brand touchscreen monitor). When I try to enable focus peaking and waveforms it simply doesn't show through to my HDMI monitor, although the rest of the OSD information does. Do those things only show up through an external monitor connected through SDI as opposed to HDMI? Thanks in advance.
