I love mine and you'll love yours! Kris, Zach and John are artists and mechanical geniuses and it shows in each of their hand built ursa Minor J30 tops!
I love my Ursa Top! When I saw your other jeep build video I was thinking "She would love and Ursa Minor". haha So excited for you! You will love it! Can't wait to see more with how you make it yours!
I couldn’t wait for your next video upload. What an amazing update to your jeep adventures. Looking forward to seeing how you enjoy your new way to travel.
Wow that such a cool feature to add to the Jeep and definitely better quality of life. It looks like it’s made really well. Great choice guy’s happy travels 😊
The mix of excitement and joy from your videos is inspiring, thank you for sharing. I have watched too many Ursa videos, you folks made it tangible. I have one quick question, can you keep your bedding and stuff in the Ursa when you close it up? Many thanks!
Thanks! My Jeep came with a factory soft top installed. Kevin and I traded, so I had his hard top installed for a while before we installed this Ursa Minor top.
Great install video! You are so joyful about your ursa minor! I feel the same way about mine. I'm also in Colorado (in Denver). Where are you guys based?
Thanks so much for the video. I'm considering purchasing a UM, and you answered many questions. Like you, I'm thinking about installing some large drawers that would take up most of the cargo area and thus effectively raise the cargo floor up. Do you find the raised platform difficult to enter and exit the Jeep? I'm somewhat hesitant to raise the platform because I'm 6'3" and quite large around the midsection. I think climbing in through the rear passenger doors or the tailgate could involve some contortion if I raise the platform. Looks like the fellow in your videos is around 6' tall. Is it a challenge for him to move about the interior?
I’m so glad you found the video helpful. I believe that you would find entering through the rear passenger doors quite uncomfortable. From the tailgate might be fine. You of course wouldn’t have the headroom to sit upright with the raised platform. The UM would definitely be helpful. As this gives more headroom behind the front seats. For perspective, I’m 4’10”. Kevin is 5’6”. You might consider keeping your drawer/s under the platform very shallow and building storage vertically down one side. Also consider that you can enter the tent with a ladder and still have an area for standing behind the passenger seat once inside. Great for changing clothes, etc. Also you can then build more storage into tailgate area.🤔 Like me you have to find ways to work around your height challenges.😊
@@ArtfulOutdoorAdventures Thanks so much for the tips. You confirmed my initial thoughts, and I will surely use your advice. I was watching Dan Grec's J30 video (you should check out The Road Chose Me if you havent' already. His African JK build is amazing) and he pointed out that it's pretty easy to climb in by standing on the rear tire. Even though that's not the conventional way to enter, it might be a good way to leverage my height. I really like what you've done with your Jeep. Keep up the good work on your channel!
I didn’t measure the height of my Jeep at that time, but the garage opening height is 82 inches. I’ve since then added a 2.5 inch lift and it won’t fit in the garage without airing down. It is now 83 inches. Before adding the lift my jeep was below stock height by nearly 3 inches because of the weight. Hence, the reason I needed the lift 🙂
Soooooo happy for you guys!!
I am sooooooo excited for you!! What an awesome modification for you and your future travels. Great job on the installation!

@@joegenshlea6827Thanks! I’ll be sure to check it out. 👍
I'm surprised it still fit in a garage. Do you know how tall yours is from ground to top of Jeep?
