Paint Correcting My New E36!

- This had to have been one of the most rewarding, but also one of the most labor intuitive paint corrections I've ever done. I feel so grateful to be able to perform such a job on this car specifically, because this was actually one of the first cars I ever seriously paint corrected nearly 3 years ago. Obviously, the previous owner didn't take any care of the paint the last time I touched it, but it felt SO good to one-up myself from the previous time I worked on this paint. Just goes to show that with dedication and practice, you can learn how to master a craft.
In no way do I think I've mastered this craft, but I have absolutely improved my skill set over the last few years and it just feels so good to be able to compare my current results to my previous ones on the same canvas.
If you're interested in seeing the improvements I made to my skill set over the last few years, I actually filmed a paint correction on this exact car before I owned it 3 years ago! Just a heads up, my filming skills were definitely not where they're at today! 🥵

Loving this series! Its really nice to see an 'ordinary' non M E36 get some attention to make it shine. Wish you would have shown another 50/50 comparison with the fast correcting cream and the perfecting cream to see the difference.

Yo Aidan, could you do like a quick "How to" or like a quick run through of your equipment, compounds and process etc.? I been looking around for vids and stuff, but so many different opinions n shidd everywhere :p Ur the only dude I'd trust at this point tbh ;) Keep up the good work man, vids are always a treat!
if it's jet black, it's one of the most notoriously difficult paints to work with ever. I hate them! Many tesla paint types are very tricky as well
It definitely tests your eyes bro! Gotta make sure every millimeter is scratch free or else you look like a doofus!
I had this very same car and I absolutely loved it. Did a bunch of mods including the M body kit, Hamann wheels and lowered it with H&R Sport springs and Bilstein shocks. Such a fun car to drive especially in manual form.
Such an amazing video! Perfect way to start the morning, watched the entire thing while having breakfast. Now I really want to do the same to my E36.

here in germany is only alowed to wash cars trucks bikes on sealed ground and the water must be cleaned/seperated from oil. Washing car on the street or a parking lot can coast up to 25000€ ! cant belive in UK is alowed to wash cars on the street.

if only you were located in California, I’d definitely beg you to paint correct mine. Decades of neglect but know under there is a good coat, I’m doing the interior right now and it’s been such a process replacing everything that’s failed and now cleaning. Pure art man, thanks

@@AidanTemplin I feel you, I just think more context about the car, plans for it, where you bought it, etc would all add a nice depth to the content of the video. Even mentioning your vert which looks pretty dope or whatever other cars you got. Your editing, camera angles and music choices are fire and I think some quick info would take your videos to the next level. I’m a fan of what you’re doing and I’m going to keep watching but I feel like you might be selling yourself short by not talking in the videos. You going to m tech kit that unit or what? I guess us sport models didn’t come with sport steering wheels huh.

@Aidan Templin I forgot to add in, how often can you reuse your cutting & polishing pads?
Depends on the abuse they see! But I usually reuse my microfiber pads on maybe 3-4 jobs and my foam pads on maybe 6-8 jobs

Tell me something, I've noticed that you don't wash or clay bar the vehicles before working on them, how come?
Honestly, just lazy! Hahahahaha I get the same results as I would with clay prepping the paint, just my first pass usually gets my pad a tiny bit dirtier than normal.
