But it REALLY needs a footswitch option, or having pro scenes and presets way less useful. I am guessing that some kind of Bluetooth wireless footswitch is in the works from NUX?
In the manual it says: You can load any WAV format IRs the Mighty Editor will convert to 32 bits/48kHz onto the device automatically But how load a Wav file onto the Mighty 20 MKII ?

The clean sound is fantastic, especially with CE-1 emulation (boss chorus ensemble) but I still can't get the right metal tone (I'm a beginner so any tips on how to achieve it?). Also I like the fact that you can make 21 presets (7 channels and 3 scenes) but switching between them mid play is a pain in the ass. Is there any way I can make a footswitch work with it?
In general, set it to the highest gain model available. Then set the gain high enough to get a thick, saturated distortion but avoid excessive muddiness. Aim for a setting around 7-8. On the EQ controls, increase the bass to add depth but keep it tight. Set it around 5-6. Scoop the mids slightly for a modern metal tone but not too much to lose definition. Set it around 3-4. Increase the treble for clarity and attack. Set it around 7-8. Use a noise gate to cut off unwanted noise and ensure tightness. This is crucial for modern metal tones. Use Reverb/Delay sparingly for a touch of ambiance, setting it low to maintain clarity and precision. Use a boost or overdrive to tighten the low end and add more attack.
But is has power amp functions, just use ur pedal board with modulation at the last signal chain. Or connect ur multieffect and it becomes ur powered speaker.
Basically, 21 presets instead of 8, new speaker, more pedals, drums and amps, you now can change virtual pedal position (like placing distortion before or after modulation etc.) and place specific pedals into a preset (instead of having just 8 unchangeable presets). Overall it's a lot more customizable than 20BT
@@badwrong6362 bigger speaker (8" vs 6.5"), heavier (6.6 kg vs 2.9 kg), 20BTmk2 is not portable (8BTmk2 can work for 8 hours from 8 AA batteries), 8BTmk2 has a MIC port, 8BTmk2 has more pedals and amps (19 and 21 vs 14 and 17), 20BTmk2 can have 21 presets while 8BTmk2 can only have 7. Overall the choice depends on your uses, I bought my 20BTmk2 two weeks ago for around €160 and it's fantastic (especially the clean sound). The only major flaw that bugs me is that there is no footswitch to change presets (you have only 1 button to change presets on 8BTmk2 and 4 buttons on 20BTmk2)
Please don't have young Joko previewing your gear. His playing elevates everything to sounding so good that I feel I must buy it 😊

Yes I agree about the footswitch. It should also have a line out like the Mighty 8BT Mk2.
I can get nice clean sounds with it but am not satisfied with metal sounds. Any suggestions for a good metal preset?( Amp, efx, mod etc..)

Mighty 8 mk2 is portable and uses 8 AA batteries (for 8 hours), would you change 20 batteries every few plays? I doubt that.
