This is so amazing, i find your composition full of lightness, humor and serinity at the same time. The second movement is very beautiful. It reminds me dissonances of italian chromaticism but also impressionism moods. This simplicity... (curious to hear it played on other instruments, for example organ solo, or strings...) Congratulations, Kofi, on the performance of this delightful and witty Neoclassical work...The 3rd movement is a real highlight. My only criticism would be the that the 2nd movement is virtually homophonic--the parts move together harmonically throughout, so it is just a succession of chords. It would have been more interesting and alive to me to hear some line writing and contrapuntal cross rhythms, such as you have in your up tempo movements. You have a great gift for writing quick, harmonically alert fast music, that is full of wit, charm and surprises. Well, done.
It did occur to me this may have been your intent..but even some subtle shiftings with a few leading quarter notes before some of the chord changes wouldn't jar the mood but would make it less predictable and monotonous for my tastes. @@kofiLjunggren
