    If someone had asked me if I was physically violent with someone I’d say absolutely not. But when the defendant has to asked what day did that happen then I suspect he possibly has a few violent altercations, he just needs to known which day so he can deny it. Good grief. You can tell he’s still really angry at her.

    Criminals who have long careers doing illegal actions are continually allowed to plead down to almost nothing by the district attorneys and judges continually accept either deferred adjudication or probation tgat the DA offered the career criminal because the district attorneys don't want to take a chance on having to take something to trial, possibly losing and blemishing their perfect careers. Judges always have the discretion to not accept what the district attorney has offered and instead give the criminal the jail time that they actually deserve, but very few judges will do this. Our entire judicial system is messed up and does nothing to protect law abiding Americans.

    • @bicentennialbuck
      @bicentennialbuck Рік тому +5

      The judge was actually very smart in this case and he didn't get off what they slap on the red wrist. What happened was the judge looked at how much time he had already been in jail The good credits he got for behaving in jail and how much was left and figured he would only do about 50 some days in jail if he revoked his probation. If he revokes his probation there is no supervision over this guy so the court will try to keep the defendant on probation so that they can string along trying to get him in treatment drug testing and keep him under more watchful eye which actually improves the chances of him not doing something wrong and maybe doing something right. Just locking him up when he gets out he would be under absolutely no supervision and there would be no protection for the woman and this is a classic abuser circle where the woman goes right back to the guy and it repeats and repeats and repeats I'm not blaming the victim, but if she doesn't seek help she is contributing to the problem.

    • @billedelman713
      @billedelman713 Рік тому +1

      This guy acts like an undeclared Sovereign Citizen. He just doesn't believe that the law applies to him, but at least he is smart enough not to spout all that insane SovCit drivel, especially not to Judge Middleton. And, as his lawyer effectively pointed out, the one report on record (police report that was cited) indicated that he punched his girlfriend on the arm. This guy just is not an axe murder...not yet, anyway. It seems like he was clear-headed and sober in court. The only positive test was for some pot. I'm sure this judge considered that there is no evidence of meth, alcohol, cocaine, or heroin addiction and that the defendant probably couldn't afford testing and also couldn't consider himself to be addicted to anything dangerous. JM knows that the PPO matter is to be decided by another judge, so he's not adjudicating it. This loon won't be forgotten by the courts. If he steps out of line again or does some real damage, he'll be put away. We can only hope that he avoids his druggie girlfriend who, he said, sponges off of him, keeps contacting him, and took the keys to his truck, which the cops returned to him. In effect, Judge M is saving tax dollars and, at the same time, giving him enough rope to hang himself. And remember that his girlfriend actually is a proven drug addict and keeps using this fool. Maybe she needs mental health care more desperately than he does. Me? I think they both should have their heads shrunk, and soon. Bottom line for the judge: Why give this guy three hots and a cot at taxpayer expense? The cops know the situation and the fool knows it.

    • @jemsar2
      @jemsar2 11 місяців тому +1

      The problem is he is not admitting he has a problem. He's not remorseful or contrite, which in and of itself means little at this point. But it would help him to start off by entering a program (of several available to him) to improve his attitude and his mental issues. It's absolutely ridiculous, I agree. But the court can't rehab you. It can only punish you. But what happens after punishment? You need to be be able to live in a society and learn how to behave in it.

  • @strife3084

    Well... Aren't you just a knight in shining armor!
    You pay all the bills for this girl... Yet it sounds to me he shouldn't be going around her, but he's showing up to her job at Applebees to "grab food she paid for", & then she's "grabbing his keys & running back into the restraunt". Sounds to me that he needs to cut this girl out of his life. Same for her, she needs to leave this dude alone...
    It irks me when people have no contact orders, & the victims continue to contact them! I think when those situations happen, both the victim & suspect should be admonished &/or punished!

    • @gavincrouch
      @gavincrouch Рік тому

      No, probation stands. So he still has to complete the class, therapy and adhere to future testing (probation conditions). This judge cannot make judgements pending with other judges and courts (on their behalf), so they will deal with him further (the presumed assault and no contact order violation). So he starts at square one with probation, with some jail credit subtracted... not exactly getting away with anything.

      There are 168 hours in a week. If there is a society in which people are working 100 hours a week, there is something wrong with that society. To illustrate this a little bit, say you get a reasonable amount of sleep, six hours a night. That's 42 hours a week. Let's even say that that 100 hours a week includes the commute, that leaves you with only 26 hours a week to do everything else: free time, time with family or friends, eating, errands, grocery shopping, entertainment, sex, using the restroom, and cleaning. Any society in which any citizen has to work 100 hours a week to survive or thrive, is a shit society.

For example, yes, sovereign citizens and first amendment auditors can physically and mentally carry out job functions, but they've become such complete assholes, that no one wants to work with them.
      I mentioned the other stuff because I think it is the more pressing issue. We're working ourselves to death, as a society. I'm an over the road trucker, so I know what long work hours are like.

      @@tiffanyapple8753 Depending on what state you live in you may want to look at any and all "Stand your ground" laws. Many states will hang you out to dry if you do not retreat from the situation when you could have. So it would be best to make sure they were all the way in your home then put them into forever sleep at that point. The reason I say that is if they survive, again depending on the state in which you reside you could be held civilly liable for there injuries or suffer and can be sued by the criminal for damages.

    What I don’t understand is if the victim sought a protection order why is she allowed to keep contacting him and enticing him to have contact with her which she keeps secret for a period until they get into another fight. And now I just heard it said she wants the no contact lifted.
    I suppose his behavior is a question of whether he can follow the orders of his probation and so I understand that side of it.
    It just seems a bit questionable to me that she keeps contacting him, offering him food. He also gives her all his money, which is a bit strange too. Stop falling for her shit and giving her money.

      He claims he gives her all his monet. However there's no proof as well as the fact that she did have a full-time job herself. If you watch the other cases he's in. He's a professional victim in a piece of s***. And see clearly is stuck in an abusive situation with him, which tends to happen with DV situations. Victim-blaming isn't it hun.

    Judge Middleton I hope you wear eye glasses when driving. In the UK you can be stopped by police and given a roadside eye test. In good daylight you should be able to read a vehicle number plate with letters 79,4 mm (3,1 inches) high at a minimum distance of 20 meters (about 67 feet). Drivers who fail roadside eye-tests could face losing their licence on the spot in a new police initiative to improve safety on the roads.

      The judge is getting on in years and it is almost certainly the case that he can see just fine at long distance, assuming he could when he was younger, but can't at short distance. This is _extremely_ common.

    I think someone would need to die before Judge Middleton did his job and protect society. He almost always sides with the criminal and rarely with those harmed. The sooner he retires, the better.
