Hi everybody. Let me know what you want to try. This one was very special! Para sa aking mga tagalog na manonood, nagtatrabaho ako sa paglalagay ng mga tagalog na subtitle ngayon.
I'm glad you're back in the Philippines - you said vegetables here are not good so, please go to Tagaytay at Diner's and order Chopsuey. Not sure if it is the same as I tasted before, but we had a good one. It has many branches in Tagaytay but the one that we ate had unlimited coffee and a nice view of Tagaytay lake. We also ordered Bulalo so if you're there please order it too. Make fish sauce, chilies and calamansi as dipping sauce for the beef. IF this happens, I will subscribe again, because to tell you honestly, I have many accounts subscribed to you, but I unsubscribed after you insinuated that we do not know how to cook vegetables. I also suggest you go to Adventist University of the Philippines at Silang Cavite - they serve some delicious vegetable dishes as they always use fresh ingredients (students plants them at the garden). Please give Filipino food a chance then I will also give your channel and Facebook page another chance.
@MidnightBloomer, Tagaytay and Bicol are already in the planning stages and will probably happen over the next couple of months. I said what I said about most vegetable dishes I have had in the Philippines. And each time I said it, I also stated that maybe I just haven't had good variations of them. What's mind blowing to me is how highly I praise everything else about Filipino cuisine because it's awesome, and you get bent out of shape about my take on vegetables? But the audacity of telling me "If I do this you will re-subscribe".....Subscribe or don't, it's your choice and i'm good with it either way. If you are looking for somebody to pander to you, I assure you it won't be me.
Hi! As usual, I am drooling! My understanding is that Bagnet is fried twice (hence the darker color and crispier) and Lechon Kawali is fried once. The green chili is called Finger Chili (not that spicy). Widely used in Filipino dishes like Sinigang, Sisig, Dinuguan. Lugaw is cooked with pork or chicken and topped with boiled egg. Goto is cooked the same way but has lots of toppings like boiled egg, innards, lechon kawali. Puto Bumbong waffles looks delish! I will devour everything that you've ordered! Then have the Iced Barako Coffee after😂😂😂 Thanks for the wonderful video!
Is that what it is? Twice fried. I had read that the difference was the boiling and deep frying but I am certain I have had deep fried lechon kawali numerous times, so it didn't make sense. Thanks for the heads up on that, Sadohr. And did you hear Em when I asked her what kind of chili that was? 😂
The Lugaw is what I'm most interested in. The waffles, if you didn't say they were delicious, I don't think i'll be interested except for the Champorado waffle coz I love Champorado. The hot chocolate drink is most likely made of Tablea de Cacao which is what we use to make hot Tsokolate (and also Champorado) since the olden days. We use a special kind of wooden spoon for stirring/cooking it called a Batirol. :)
The waffles are definitely worth a try. The champarado was amazing and I also love champarado. The Puto Bumbong waffle was other worldly. And you are 100% correct, Moon, the hot chocolate drink is made with tablea
The fried anchovies and or salted fish (Tuyo) not only balances the flavor and sweetness of the champorado but also surprisingly complements it very well, and not being overpowered by the sweetness makes you want for more. Bon appetit and welcome back to the Philippines Geof! 🙂😋🇵🇭
Looks like a breakfast place. Those waffles look amazing!! Love anything purple.😋 Love puto bong2. I like Filipino desserts sooo much. I must stop watching your vids during my fasting.
The difference between Bagnet and Lechon Kawali is, Bagnet is boiled to the mixture of water and used oil (the oil that was used to fry the Bagnet). Note that there are no seasonings added to the boiling of the meat, then it is fried to crispy goodness. While, Lechon Kawali is as well boiled, but only using water and seasoned with onions, garlic, bay leaves, etc. Then fried to cripy goodness as well.
@jserenity, I had never heard of it until reading your comment. After googling, I absolutely want to try it. It is quite a distance from me, but I will get there when I have a chance and give you a shout out for the reco.
@@PureDetour , if was in Ph, i would give you a ride. Unfortunately I am out and wont be back. I just like Valenzuela to be promoted cause around Bulacan area, Tata Celo is a go to restaurant of the local people. And they have food that you wont find in manila (or you will find in Pampanga but expensive). Plus the ambiance of eating on top of fishing lake is a bit different. Just make sure there is no typhoon cause that whole area is floooded neck deep
Thank you for the offer and I completely understand. Not being here is a little problematic.😂 Not to worry, I will make my up there. It's not that far but it's going to more than a hour if there is zero traffic so not sure when I will get there. Have any other dishes you want me to try while I am there? If I am making the journey I need to get at least 5 or 6 dishes so I may as well try some you recommend. 😁
