  • I sold my vintage camper and original bed and wanted something a little different... this design allows clearance for some tall tires with zero lift as well as a large amount of flat workable area. I think it turned out very unique. Check out more of the builds!

Looks awesome. I need something like this for my big truck. Kinda tired of the pickup bed conversion.

@@tylerpreston1124 wasn’t herd at all but with current prices it’s probably worth to just buy one to be honest… a used one is probably half what this cost in steel now a days

Nice! Helpful hint split your angles in half that way tubing lines up, save some time.
to make a 22.5* cut each piece at 11.25*

That's a great idea! most of the time the rest of it isnt lined up quite well enough to ensure accuracy... lots of measuring by eyesight LOL

Your welds look nice and solid.....i know its been a couple years, but do you recall what settings you used on welder for doing that 1/8th thick steel? Gas 75/25? I want to do this project, but with a dump bed kit on my 96' Cummins and do not want any blowout on the steel. Anyway, if you remember... good video 👍

Yeah this was done with C25 gas, so 75/25 normal mig welding gas. I do not remember the welder settings for volt or wire feed though sorry

How do you like your welder? Was thinking of buying one and considering that same brand and model

I had the vulcan 215 and that thing was an absolute unit of a machine, probably the best machine I've ever used. The titanium is a tad bit for finicky and less forgiving but welds perfectly fine. I switched because my vulcan go rained on and wanted to try to cheaper one. If this one ever bites it I'll see what direction I go..
