I’m trying to imagine what the hell kind of Avengers movie they’re trying to set up So like… Venom, Morbius, Vulture, Kraven and… I guess the girls from Madam Web? Are gonna go up against… Knull? And the symbiotes?
I don't even understand Sony's long game. MCU doesn't care about the Sony universe and has no interest in their version of Spiderman interacting with any of these characters. Sony can't even make a movie that gains any fan traction. All of their individual movies feel like they exist in a compeltely separate universe and either completely bomb or have some box office success but have overwhelming bad reviews. There is just nothing here to build the foundation of a cinematic universe on, period. No one likes Morbius, Madame Webb, a weird alternate reality Vulture who inexplicably no longer cares about his family because he wants to fight a Spiderman that doesn't even exist in the world he got warped to. All of this on top of the fact that Marvel's own cinematic universe is currently floundering despite tons of hits and a decade of building their world up. It's baffling.
At least in the comics him showing up helps DRASTICALLY develop ever symbiote and symbiote user in the story. Here, he has like, no reason to be here, and no one to push further with his presence.

The tangent about Toxin in this video is really funny since Toxin isn't in the movie lmao. I made this mistake too. Whatever that dude turns into is not Toxin. It's very briefly said that whatever symbiote grabbed onto him at the end of Venom 2 (Toxin) abandoned him shortly before the Area 55 guys grabbed him. The weird green snake symbiote he's bonded to was given to him by the Area 55 guys. So no, Toxin was not in the movie. I guess they're saving him for a Toxin solo film. Hooray.

Knull's scenes could be replaced by some other expository device. Instead of Knull's showing up, it could be just Not-SHIELD commenting on the Xenophage's arrival and what they're after. Or have Toxin explain it. But they had to have Knull there for the trailer.

It was worth it though to see all the set up throughout the movie alluding to Venom's desire to fly all culminating in the end when Venom does what we were all expecting, he goes into the acid room.
I liked the family! Really liked the scene where their singing and you can kinda feel what Brok is feeling about losing his past life with the one she loved. Thinking about not having children… I just felt it in his look

I can tell there were a lot of scenes cut from this movie. Several shots from the trailers aren’t in the final film, and overall my biggest gripe with it is that it feels to short and overstuffed. I had this same problem with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empjre

I was begging for that to be the case, I would have said the movie was worth it if they just paid off knull after the fight with the basic aliens, when they were making it look like eddie/venom might die or might not, I thought they can't end like that, they would be introducing knull just to not pay off, then kill venom so it never could pay off anyway.

Okay I haven't watched ANY of the venom movies, but I will say it would be mildly entertaining to have this venom attached to Tom Holland with a big payoff being venom returning to Eddie. But more than anything, please just make a spiderman and venom story that is at LEAST two movies. Don't rush it into one again 😅
They wasted Tom Hardy and the Venom character. The Last Dance felt like a rushed way to introduce a handful of new characters, none of which feel like they are even remotely more interesting that Venom could've been. It was all over the place, and did not make a lot of sense. Even the horse scene, which was teased to death, was not great.
Everyone is so hyped about knull and the character was just as pointless and generic in the comics. He has zero motivation, hes just evil because he is, no reason and now hes finally back after a couple million years - just like every other big bad guy. He looks like a washed up, old alcoholic, glam-rocker. The character is just bad.
I just wanted a Maximum Carnage movie with Venom and Spiderman hunting him and his gang down, kind of like an urban Apocalypse Now, after the okay but stupid goofy first movie. The sooner Marvel gets back all their characters the better IM0.

First of all Venom and Eddie Brock is a Bromance. They’re not gay. If you thought that then you obviously did not watch the movies correctly. Like really? Well, this movie was definitely not as good as the previous two which were absolutely tremendous films by the way. It was ok for what it was though. I do think the third movie was a flat ending. We need Tom Hardy most likely will go to the MCU at some point to face Tom Holland.
I don't know, I thought the movie had both a tighter narrative AND emotional throughline. I also thought that, unlike the previous two films which are basically just dumb fun, this movie was actually kinda good. Like I would have loved if Morbius was at least as good as this. Edit: Spider-Man 3 is a blight upon humanity.
I think theres a chance Tom Hardy will be in Secret Wars and that version of Eddie Brock will die, and the Venom symbiote will bond with Peter Parker. Then Peter can bring Venom into the MCU where it can bond with that universes Eddie Brock and do a more comic accurate adaptation 🤷♂️
youre nuts for liking this over Let there be Carnage. the second movie is the best in the trilogy. it had so much fun queer moments and Carnage was a more fun villain than Knull and his dumb monster minions. there's not enough going on with Eddie and Venom in this movie.
These movies are a collective waste of time and money. The first one was fun. LtbC was just fucking awful. I turned it off 10 minutes in. I don't expect a lot, I'm willing to turn my brain off and have a good time. But these just ain't it.
I’d really love to see Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock in the MCU against Tom Holland’s Spiderman. I want to see the piece of the Venom symbiote bond-and-be-rejected by Peter Parker, then find its way to Hardy’s Eddie Brock, to take revenge on Peter. Y’know. What the comics did. But have the movie focus on that solely. No extra, shoe-horned villains like any kind of Goblin or Sandman. And we can _finally_ see Venom with the Spider emblem on his chest. The Venomverse Venom looked incredible. Say what you will about the quality of the movie, but Venom looked amazing. All he needs now is his emblem.

He has zero motivation, hes just evil because he is, no reason and now hes finally back after a couple million years - just like every other big bad guy. He looks like a washed up, old alcoholic, glam-rocker. The character is just bad.

So what I'm hearing is, do less with Knull, don't do a cross-over with Spider-Man, and put Tom Hardy in more weird stuff.
I just wanted a Maximum Carnage movie with Venom and Spiderman hunting him and his gang down, kind of like an urban Apocalypse Now, after the okay but stupid goofy first movie. The sooner Marvel gets back all their characters the better IM0.

Venom 1 was very enjoyable. I thought it was great.
Venom 2 was a travesty. Like at every given moment, the worst decision was made. The comic lore isn’t respected at all, the plot makes no sense. No.
I don’t have much interest in seeing Venom 3. But want to know how it ends purely because I enjoyed the first movie so much. But not enough to see the movie in cinemas. Just hear about it from videos like these.
First of all Venom and Eddie Brock is a Bromance. They’re not gay. If you thought that then you obviously did not watch the movies correctly. Like really? Well, this movie was definitely not as good as the previous two which were absolutely tremendous films by the way. It was ok for what it was though. I do think the third movie was a flat ending. We need Tom Hardy most likely will go to the MCU at some point to face Tom Holland.

I don't know, I thought the movie had both a tighter narrative AND emotional throughline. I also thought that, unlike the previous two films which are basically just dumb fun, this movie was actually kinda good. Like I would have loved if Morbius was at least as good as this.
Edit: Spider-Man 3 is a blight upon humanity.
I think theres a chance Tom Hardy will be in Secret Wars and that version of Eddie Brock will die, and the Venom symbiote will bond with Peter Parker. Then Peter can bring Venom into the MCU where it can bond with that universes Eddie Brock and do a more comic accurate adaptation 🤷♂️

Knull is a terrible character in general and he's about as interesting and well-used in this movie as he has ever been.

This is my least favorite Venom honestly. It’s longest and messiest. The two firsts acts are all over the place and dull in many places.

youre nuts for liking this over Let there be Carnage. the second movie is the best in the trilogy. it had so much fun queer moments and Carnage was a more fun villain than Knull and his dumb monster minions. there's not enough going on with Eddie and Venom in this movie.
These movies are a collective waste of time and money. The first one was fun. LtbC was just fucking awful. I turned it off 10 minutes in. I don't expect a lot, I'm willing to turn my brain off and have a good time. But these just ain't it.

I’d really love to see Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock in the MCU against Tom Holland’s Spiderman.
I want to see the piece of the Venom symbiote bond-and-be-rejected by Peter Parker, then find its way to Hardy’s Eddie Brock, to take revenge on Peter.
Y’know. What the comics did.
But have the movie focus on that solely. No extra, shoe-horned villains like any kind of Goblin or Sandman.
And we can _finally_ see Venom with the Spider emblem on his chest. The Venomverse Venom looked incredible. Say what you will about the quality of the movie, but Venom looked amazing. All he needs now is his emblem.

it's so weird to me to hear that some people interpret Eddie/Venom's relationship as a queer romance. There isn't a single example from any of the 3 films that support that interpretation.
its more like a brotherly or best friend love to me. they're the bestest of friends, with a tight bond, almost like siblings in a way.
