My best friend plays hockey with me, we've played together since we were 5 and we've been known as an 'iconic duo' ever since then. But around two years ago i started to notice our differences more and more. Both our dads are hockey coaches and we've both shared our mutual understanding of what the pressure is like. But her family is rich and she goes to a private school which is known for hockey and she has private coaches. I do not, and our gap in experience is growing. She tries to joke around with me at training, because she knows that shes got other coaches but i don't and everytime she distracts me from what we're doing, the coaches start not choseing me for matches. One night after training me and my dad got in a big argument. It was about how ill never live up to her, and that night i dont think ive ever cried so much. Shes so much more popular than me, shes a better player, shes prettier, shes skinnier and it just feels like all her gains are my losses. Even though i know theyre not. Wtf do i do
i hope you feel better my love. there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, and of course the cliché quote of "there's plenty of fish in the sea". surround yourself with things that make you smile whether its friends, family, being alone, a favourite movie or book or pet but just know you're loved and you are never alone. so go eat something or drink and keep pushing, because if it takes days, weeks,months it will get better
Focus on God, took me 6 years (and still struggling) to put the relationship past me… Wish I had started sooner, I kept denying God because I was so caught up with the depression of losing them. It’s hard but it’s easier with Jesus.
He’s got so much talent it’s incredible… I rap & been praised for it, but when I make a worship song I feel like I’m floating… I definitely know Montell could influence millions towards Christ, maybe he already has :) I think praying for him to have strength through his trials will help a lot.
