I decided to go out to the flea market one last time for one last haul of the season. I also, stopped at the goodwill thrift store as well and got some more things to sell on ebay for a profit. I hope you enjoy this vlog / ride along. #fleamarket #thrift #reselling

i saw in that thrift store several shelves of puzzles !! i always look for new puzzles unopened..then i am sure it is complete..they sell well..especially with more people staying at home...i sold 2 this week ,cost me .50 each , sold for $25 and $40 !!
All day long! I love taking chances on potential money makers! I even got my mom on board! She took an $18 chance on a backpack and gave to me to resell! It was a Visvim backpack and I sold it for $400!!!

Yes, I do that with clothing and shoes. Since I am an antique/collectible dealer and appraiser, buying clothing and shoes are the territory I am learning and trying. Not vintage clothes but the the everyday use. Partially thanks to you😊.
Incidentally, I bought several Pendleton tops and an apple keyboard from you and my husband was impressed with the quality and loves them. 😊

No way! That star wars thing is not worth have $240 tied up! At best you would hopefully double your money with those figurines and that’s asking a lot. Better to hold off and buy lower priced items that’ll add up to that $240 over time but you’ll 5X your investment when they sell 😁👍

I think they were fine for someone who personally wanted them. But not enough meat for resale.
Looking at the Pentax camera, there would be a battery compartment in the bottom for a CR2032 button battery, which was used for the light sensor. You should always check that there is no corrosion in that compartment, as you would do with any other battery-using item.

Thanks for the camera testing tips, I always come across cameras and wasnt really sure what I should be looking for and how to do a quick test.
When checking SLR cameras you might want to mention looking in the battery compartment, sometimes it gets corroded from a bad battery and destroys the compartment.

its hard to tel on the star wars as I always am on the look out to "re-buy" my old collection and when i look on ebay the big lots really do sell for quite a bit but you are right in the time involved in listing always love all your videos

Not that I know what I'm talking about, but I don't really think the Star Wars bundle was worth $250 either. Which is sad because IMO the vintage ones should be, at least to fans! But in other videos and on Ebay, I don't see them listed or sold for more than what you mentioned. Thanks for another great video!
Glad you found the camera bit useful. And I think it would have defiantly been worth the $250 if you were buying it for yourself. Just not enough left after shipping and fees to resell.
In my early days I would l have passed on possibly turning $20 into $100 or more. But now I probably would due to having a yr of experience and higher bank balance.

I wouldn't have. When i first started reselling i really tryd to not take any risks but with time going on got more comfortable with my predictions but i still try to be very calculated. #1 Im in no ergent need for inventory the last thing i need is more stuff piled up that turns out to not even be worth it. 2# thats a hefty amount to be risking. 3# i have a feeling hes had time to do his research on all of it and get an idea of what its worth while you have the under hand buying blind. #4 they have no accessories what so ever. #5 Ussualy people asking high prices arent the type to leave money on the table especially with his "the most i can take off is 10$".. #6 everytime i deal with somone who acts like they know there stuff and they dont want to work with you on the price it ends up being a bad idea. Atleast on collector items.

20$ to learn of course just think of all the 1$ items that get flipped so its like that if it pays off great if it doesn't which I'm sure it will..🤣 🤣 great. We learn with every purchase we make be it 1$ 20$ or anytime we put put our money out there. We spend we list we sell we learn ..its the cycle of reselling. Great video as always keep us posted on the swans sure will be more than 20$. And great content on the camera see alot of them out there never knew what to do for testing you kept it short and sweet and have more knowledge now then I had so much appreciated.

I would have passed on the Star Wars stuff...because I have all of that and much more including the boxes that things came in. LOL We bought them for our now 50-year-old son and they are stored in my basement ready for me to list this winter.

Loose figs no weapons or stuff i woulda passed also, the vintage figs with no extras loose have dropped in price because most people are after the complete figs now unless they're army builders like the troopers and stuff. $240 was to much.
Yeah without the accessories I just couldn’t pull the trigger at $240. I’m just a sucker for old toys atm so I had to consider it.

Absolutely on the swan bowl, but anything like that, taking chances has made me my biggest sales.
Chances with big pay offs are my favorites. They often lead me to researching more stuff in that category as well. 😎👍
I really appreciate the camera knowledge. I do similar checking but the shutter part will make me 10% confident to sell them as working which I’m super OCD about.

I definitely would take the risk of $20. The worst thing that could happen is that you have a new candy holder. lol. It's also considered a write off as lost profit.

That K100 was my first find at a yard sale back in 1990. I bought it for $15, but sadly only sold it for $35! This was pre-internet though and I was young and dumb.

Ha that's funny. I sold that exact same film camera this past weekend for $120 on eBay. It sold within minutes of me listing it. I probably could have got a little more, but I only paid 10 bucks for it from a local thrift store. Anytime you see the name asahi on a SLR film camera is a good bet. Also the Canon AE-1 SLR cameras are worth about $150 as well, depending on what Lens comes with it. The AE-1 is a true workhorse film camera for those who are into film photography. Easy to use and dependable.

Good pass on the star wars. With no accessories best case is around 10 bucks each on those and those won't be fast sellers. The cases are extremely slow sellers too.
Yeah the time aspect of selling them all was my concern. Since they were all loose I just didn’t want to be sitting on them all.

I would've bought them.... due to not being experience enough. I would checked out the AFX Race track. Some cars go for some good money and some have extra cars in them.
I’ve seen people do really well on some slot cars. But, I also know there are lots of worthless ones as well. It’s something I’ve sold a couple times. But, need to learn it more.

Don't know if this is going on everywhere but my Goodwill has increased prices on all products in the amount of 30% making it hard to be competitive. Thank GOD for Garage Sales!!!
It happens periodically. Goodwills raise prices to keep up with the costs of doing business just like anywhere else.

I would have passed on the Star Wars figs but the 'Swan' bowl I would definitely picked up. You could get more for it than the comp you showed, Silvo and a soft cloth and it will do even better :)

Just treat the 20$ investment like you would any other item you might buy. Forget what the item is, and trust the process of your research. Sold comps, Google lens worth point etc. If the data is there, you would likely pull that trigger on the item. Forget that it's a bowl, if it was a jersey it would have been a no brainer for you.

Yes it was a sold. Comp is sort for completed so anytime I refer to comps they are completed sold listings. Otherwise I’ll say it’s listed 👍👍
Probably a good pass on the figures. It looked less like a legit collection and more like already-picked-through-left-over-commons. I see 3 Bib Fortunas in the Vader case alone!

I would definitely have passed on the star Wars figs. Too much $. I would probably have passed on the champagne bucket also since it was only a listed comp and not a sold comp.

I do t think it was a lure for new resellers. It’s actually not a bad deal for a collector or someone who likes old toys. And there would still be money to be made if you resold it all individually. Just not enough for me to justify the buy.

I just don’t think there was much meat left on the bone for resell. After the time to photograph, list, and ship it didn’t seem like enough to pull the trigger.

I think you made the right call on the Star Wars. I would have passed too. The Star Wars craze is dying out esp. since Disney has damaged the property so much in recent years.
Yeah most Star Wars I would have walked right passed without a second thought. But with the original Kenner figures I had to consider them.
