I’m ashamed to say that I’ve only recently found Jerry Hadley. For most of my life I’ve loved music but I’ve definitely missed out on his beautiful voice. What an absolute talent and to read how his life ended so sadly is truly heartbreaking. RIP.
I remember this concert on TV. Spectacular. Von Stade is always charming, Ramey is a force of nature, and Hadley was so boyishly enthusiastic. It's a terrible tragedy that Hadley killed himself, he had so much to live for.

It’s better later than never. So many young music lovers who haven’t discovered him yet. He could have grown to become the great Richard Tucker.
