In the second hand car business where I worked I tested one Mazda 3 with this engine and had 330.000 kms. It was in a very good condition and still reached up to 240 km/h easily....😎😎😎
@@davidcasas3862 Thanks David, it seems to be a durable engine. I consider buying cx7 with exactly this engine, so if it lasts up to 300k km, it is fine.
@@veselin4482 I think it's possible if its previous owner has been careful and respectful with the maintenance of this powerful engine. If you're sure about that, go ahead and enjoy It!!
The MZR 2.3T had its share of issues, but most of them have been addressed with updated OEM parts, aftermarket parts and better oil. The OEM K04 turbo has crap oil seals but there are good rebuilders in North America for the stock turbo, or you can upgrade. VVT actuator(which can stretch the timing chain) is another sore spot but again, there are updated OEM parts now. Make sure to use good engine oil, though. API SP synthetic only. Generally though, if you can afford it, CX-5 is a better choice. Better fuel economy, better reliability and better interior.
Love this engine. I drove a Mazda 3 with this engine and was a great experience. Good test!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
one of my biggezt dreamz iz a ztandard mazda cx7
I didn't know they made a manual version of these. It's like a speed3 but... Much bigger
Probably because you live in America and as you always drive automatic, manual was only for Europe and even the 2.2 Diesel was manual
@@LucaLivioSaglia04there is a lot of manual cars here. I've always had a manual, but most non car enthusiasts drive a automatic.
@@danbmx445honestly you can manual swap these really easily using a Speed6 AWD trans
Anyone know from experience what is expected lifespan of this engine?

What do you think about it? Reliable?
Im sorry, i dont have lot information about this car. 🙁

In general Mazda are very reliable then it depends on how you utilise the car
As long as you keep up on regular maintenance these engines require it will last a long time. They're fragile once neglected
