Unfortunately outside was the only place to see cool things. It was an absolute game changing bust this year. Last year was bad, this year is the beginning of the end. Blame Hollywood's arrogance and greed - every aspect of whatever comes out of a tv screen was NOT present....by plan. Hollywood will suffer the most but the comicon experience of the last 10 years is non existent. My crew had 4 day passes one went unused on Saturday and all 3 others went unused on Sunday. I didn't even offer them to someone because they would be utterly disappointed. So bad I wouldn't be surprised if they file chapter eleven next year...they're tied into a lease for at least a few years and theres no-one to fill the space - just venders selling toys - the art was missing, the artists, the tools they use. Most comic venders weren't even there. way too expensive (4600.00 for an art space)...taps has started so I'll shut up cheers
Thank you for this! I worked security for comicon for 20 years and remember it’s very humble beginnings. It’s wonderful to see that it’s gotten back to its roots and not so reliant on hollywoods influence.
@@Voyagerhqin the early days it was at a hotel in down town San Diego with 300 guests. I remember moving to the convention center and wondering why were we in such a huge area? There is no way we will ever be able to fill this place! And the rest is history 😊
By far one of, if not the best video coverage I’ve seen in a long time. Your commentary and use of videos and tips was spot on. Really enjoyed watching. Makes me want to go next year! Looking forward to more videos!
It's been many years since I've considered actually attending SDCC. I used to go every year, but it's been a long time since I've thought it actually looked fun. I didn't know about the lounges for instance. That pinball lounge looked pretty good. Well done.
I exhibited at the show this year (as I have for 25 years!) and you did a great overview of the show, from inside to outside the convention center. Props for giving attention to the artists at the show and going to Artist's Alley-though I wish you'd also included a quick visit to the Small Press area where indie/creator owned comics are being sold--and, yes, that's where I was lol. Though you do show a shot of it from the mezzanine. But great job!
One of the best vids of the event I've seen on UA-cam. I was there btw. A few things you showed I didn't even know was there or just didn't find. It was a lot going on.
I think for people looking for exclusives that don't live nearby the qr code is nice. As long as the items are packed well for shipment. But as a local I like to buy in person.
Different strokes for different folks. The more i see of ComiCons, the more I appreciate fan-run conventions like Worldcon, Balticon, Readercon, Arisia, Boskone, Westercon, Philcon. And yes, marriage proposals and marriages at cons are awesome.
You did an amazing job with this video! Thanks for the smooth video, excellent editing, and calm voice over. It was a pleasure to watch. You gave us folks that could not attend a great look at the event. 💜💙💚
Great video!! You really covered a lot of territory. Glad you showed Artist Alley. Do you have footage you didn't use of the book Authors areas? As to your question. QR codes are nice, but I prefer to buy my items in person.
The best video for San Diego Comic Con coverage of all time!! Love that a lot and hope you continue doing that for any comic cons in the future! One more thing: the quality of the video+camera is so clear and great, which camera are you using I may get one. Thanks!
There is an open registration for visitors who haven’t been yet. There are plenty of hotels around the area. All the information is on the Comic Con site.
Great video. My husband Rich and I could not go this year. But we were watching your video and saw my brother and his boyfriend. Very cool. ❤😂😊 12:26 area on the bottom left. Both have beards 🎉
Major celebrities usually don't charge for autographs/photos. They're mainly there to promote projects. Some lesser-known celebs and artists might charge in the autograph area. Free signings sometimes happen through lottery systems at studio booths. Comic creators often sign at their booths for free or a small fee. There aren't typically pre-bookable photo ops. Bring some cash just in case, but celebrity meet-and-greets are rare. I’d look at the official SDCC website closer to the event for any announced signings or appearances. Good luck!
I really enjoyed this video. It's funny cause I work for a company that has booth at all these comicon's, but since I work on the finance side I never really go to the conventions. Never realized how awesome they are. On a side note, @ the 9:20 mark, how cute is to that little girl posing as wonder women? lol
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s amazing how much there is to experience at these conventions. Hopefully you’ll get some time to explore them sometime soon!
Can’t give thumbs up, but won’t do down either. I haven’t been to SDCC in decades. I’d like to go as it does look much more fun than it was back then. The one “highlight” I was looking for was the ComicCon’s namesake: comic books. You showed a lot of the fun things going on, but as a collector I was hoping to see if there are comic dealers on the floor anymore. The overview you showed in your Thursday video only seemed to indicate artists and vendors selling their own wares. Don’t they have comic book tables/sellers anymore?!
Thank you for showing stuff from the entire convention, not just people outside the building.

That’s amazing! And it keeps growing every year.
That proposal was the SWEETEST!
Yeah, it was!!!!!❤

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Definitely go if you can!
My only time at Comic Con was back in 2015 when Star Wars had its The Force Awakens panel. It was WILD!
Wish I could go back again.
Thank you for bringing this tour.😎
Your welcome glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you! Nice vibes ...😎
Dang. I would like to be in that DC photo shot!!!!!
I was working my friends booth all con so these highlights videos are fantastic to get a glimpse of the action I couldn't see.
This year was terrific at the con.

Amazing video sir, I would love to go if it wasn't that crowded. That's like a quarter of Southern California population there!

There’s so much going on everywhere and lot I didn’t get to cover in this video.
Feels like I'm there! Thanks for the video!
This video was great. I am in Australia, so you explaining all the layout and different venues was very interesting. Well done!
Thank you happy you enjoyed the video! Hopefully next year I’ll be able to cover even more or the convention.
Nicely done!
Appreciate the vid
The nerd in me really wants to go to SDCC but the introvert in me said naw after seeing those insane crowds.😮💨
Dope video. Id rather buy in person tbh. You get to inspect the items with your own hands and even haggle. Thats the best part
Absolutely agree. The QR code web portal takes the fun out of it.
I think for people looking for exclusives that don't live nearby the qr code is nice. As long as the items are packed well for shipment. But as a local I like to buy in person.
That Azrael Knight costume was 🔥
Hey there,
I was the Azrael! Thank you so much!

7:46 Congratulations to the happy couple! ❤ I really hope someone from your followers recognizes them and sends them the video 😊
I hope so too!
They are know cosplayers and even got shouted out by DC!!

Thank you for the upload! That was amazing.
You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
I've never been to Comic-Con. I've been to Armageddon Expo which is the Kiwi version of Comic-Con.
Amazing video of the entire event! Thank you

Thank you I’m happy you enjoyed the video. This is all the footage I could get that day. I will make sure to cover the Authors areas next year!
Nice. I love the whole thing..
Great video. Got a real good feel for what its like to be there. Thanks!

thanks for the IG-12 video. I didnt get much of me in action
Great costume and thanks for doing the video clip!
amazing video, so much to see, how do i get a ticket for comic con 2024? and there are hotels near there?

Just Thursday and Saturday this year. Next year I’ll try to get a video each day.
0:23 princess peach is awesome! who is she?
I don’t have it but I think there is Cosplay video from Comic Con this year that had them in it.
Do these creators/celebrities charge for autographs/pictures? I will be going to my first Comic Con next month? Was wondering so i can plan/save ahead

Anyone remember the time on that Saturday was the DC photoshoot from Comic Con 2023
It was around 2:30-3 or so.
Wait , didnt hollywood claim comicon would be canceled without actors there. Lol
When is the next event in San Diego in 2024 .....we want to meet Norman Reedus
Oh. I live 10 away from down town.
OMG so these conventions actually exists. I thought it was something invented for the Big Bang tv show 😂
😂
Does anybody know what the TOH cast said at their panel?
Hi, name of the artist of the art prints in 13:08?
No dragon prince stuff? There was even a giraffe, but no dragon prince 😐.

There are many comic book sellers and those who sell a combination of comic books and merchandise. Next year I will spend more time focusing there.
Who’s the Elektra cosplayer?
