This was so good. I've always LOVED Gwyneth (her acting, her style, her poise, self-confidence w/humility and her sense of humor) and this should be watched by all those who THINK they dislike her. I was living and working in Charlotte when they filmed "Shallow Hal." They filmed some scenes at the Double Door Inn around the corner from where I lived; and around the way (pool scenes in Myers Park) and uptown at Fuel Pizza. I'll never forget that scene when she sits down and the bench collapsed! LMAO. Man, that was such a great time to be young and upcoming with all that crazy stuff going on all around us! Great stuff, Gwynyth! Thanks for all the great movie memories!
My favorites of Gwyneth paltrows movies are The Talented Mr. Ripley and Great Expectations! Ive seen them over 50 times each im sure. They just have transported me away every time. Sometimes back to my younger years of my 30's, and things i went through who i was with, and makes me almost feel like i did back then, young, happy and in love. Betterdays.
Amazing to see the vitriol aimed at Gwyneth simply for having been born into a creatively successful family. Look at all the people who have similar stories, yet for some reason Gwyneth is the focus of an excessive amount of hate and criticism. I think the real reasons for that are about a lot more than merely having successful parents and a leg-up in life. Many people have a searing envy for those who are talented, wealthy, beautiful, and smart. The whole package. "How dare she?" Her life and career indicate someone not only talented but engaged, curious, humble, and motivated. Why should her personal accomplishments be mocked or thrown out altogether simply because of who her parents were? It says everything about those criticizing her, and nothing about Gwyneth herself.
Totally agree with you! I love Gwyneth Paltrow! It's almost like people want to punish her or say she didn't learn everything she has just because she already was born into privilege. That doesn't mean that she had to work any less or that she has worked less than other people she's been in a lot of movies clearly she's a very hard worker. And she's really conscientious about the environment and a good role model. And she was married to Chris Martin LOL haha I love him
