At the beginning, I thought you were tapping a credit card on the machine to pay for it to brew and my eyes just about popped out of my head. The reality is far more pleasant and charming. haha😅 I also love the ritual of grinding and brewing my coffees, but something like this machine is still awesome! I could see my coworkers really attaching on to the ease and quality of it. Anything that could pull them away from wasteful and subpar K-cups is a huge win in my books. And that price feels like a steal when it can actually deliver on all the features.
Oh my goodness! Would you imagine having to pay?! 😆 Now I can't unsee it hahaha And I agree! Just the fact that it can deliver on the features and perform at a high level makes it worth it! For an office setting, maybe plumbing it in to avoid the pain of constantly refilling the water tank, but it'll certainly up the quality of the coffee and make it a much more enjoyable experience for everyone!
Great review of the Xbloom. I think Xbloom also sells pods, would you consider a review of their coffee, compared to comparable specialty coffee? Both for taste and value. Keep up the good work..
Thank you for the positive feedback! So, yes, xBloom sells pods but they’re all from specialty coffee roasters! xBloom doesn’t produce their own coffee beans/pods. In fact, if you loved a certain coffee from their pod selection, you can go ahead and buy the full coffee bag from the roaster and use the preset recipe for the pods (accessible through the app as well). With that said, I find the cost a bit high for the number of cups you’ll get out of the pods compared to buying a regular coffee bag of the same beans. Hope this helps!
This is by far the best review I have seen on the XBloom. Do you think it can really grind fine enough to pull a good shot from an espresso machine? I was going to upgrade my Eureka grinder but not sure this would work better or as well as a stand alone grinder. Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback! Although you can grind for espresso with the xBloom's integrated grinder, I'd only use it for "emergencies" or contigency. I highly doubt it'd be an upgrade to your Eureka. Depending on which Eureka you have, something like a DF54/64 could be the solution you're looking for. Cheers!
Really great review! I am strongly considering buying one, but I've noticed in your video - that when using the custom Omni dripper it looks like the weight of it is pulling it down? You can see the output is not from the center, but from the edge of the dripper? Is the magnet strong enough? It makes it look like the backside of the coffee would be a little under extracted.
Great you mention this! I actually have a slight slope in my bar so depending where the machine is pointing, the output will shift. I’ve never worried about it too much tho, as the bed result is pretty even, so it’s just noticeable on the drip. The magnets are strong enough so on an even floor it will be flat.
I really hope speciality roasters really adopt these pods, even in their cafes as like the Clover did back in the day Unfortunately I live in Australia, which despite it does have a strong coffee culture, it's heavily steeped in espresso. Now espresso is great, but filter is great too but it's widely looked down upon in the land down under😢
I know several roasters are supporting XBloom at least in the US! And a big favorite of mine, Proud Mary Coffee, is in Australia so you can enjoy it too! I would’ve thought that the coffee scene there would have a stronger sense of pour over coffee.
Very good video, but like most presentation video, they forget the clenaning process....for example can the grinder be detached and put in the dish washer?
Thank you for your feedback! The grinder is easy to clean, but please, NEVER clean a coffee grinder in the dishwasher. In fact, avoid all water contact. Always use a brush or blow air on it to remove any built up coffee. You may also wipe the burr with a microfibre cloth, or even a paper towel, to remove any oil residue. Hope that helps!
Can I fill in the beans and set a timer so that the machine does the coffee fully automatically the next morning? Ah.... and second question: Is it possible to make half a liter of coffee?
@@lizhappybeans Ok, thanks. Hmm, that's really a pity that the machine doesn't have a timer function. Would've been easy with that app. Then it's not for me. Timer function is a must have.
I would assume there’s a lot of safety concerns with it, although XBloom has been upgrading their app and functions a lot. This is a fairly new device, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they add something like that down the line!
@@lizhappybeans Yes hopefully. There are other (cheaper) coffee machines that have this timer function, so I would expect this from the xbloom. Let's see.
@@Thunderbird1337 was thinking if you can ChatGPT to write a phone shortcut, every morning it’ll automatically open the xBloom App and start the process. Might work.
My most sinceres apologies for the inconvenience with my creative decisions. Hope you find another review that’s less annoying 🙏. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
That iPhone Wallet idea you had was brilliant…using your Apple Watch or iPhone to prompt recipes would be epic!
Gosh, yes! Imagine the possibilities! 🤯

Incredibly detailed dive in review! Thanks a lot!
What a gadget! Thanks for the in-depth review!

Custom filter is the catch for sure.
Super cool!!! 👍🏽☕️😎

I WISH that was possible hahahaha. Would be very convenient. And I believe you can brew up to 500ml yep
