@@kurizu007 pasta actually originated in the Middle East. Also, there are tomato family veggies native (as much as anyone can tell) from Egypt as well…maybe not the same color but functionally fairly close.

Bro I was a foreigner studying medicine in Egypt, I had exams, so I normally went to restaurant to eat Koshary before heading to Library for exam studies. One day I put the whole hot sauce oily thing, hours later I felt sick and my stomach was hurting bad. It's later that I figured out it's the hot sauce, as I had been eating Koshary with little or no hot sauce without trouble. But that day I learnt my lesson , I spent like a month sick, maybe it's because I am having gastritis, so it got triggered. I say never again

@@aperture0 It's harder to make a vegan dish to everyone's liking than it is to make an average dish and top it with bacon, cheese, or whatever to make it taste good (though, admittedly, crispy fried onions are essentially just the vegan equivalent to throwing bacon onto something).
You gotta get a grandma from each country to make the dish that's the only real way to do this.
