Can you do a video with lomography 800 like this
The blue hour portion of this video reminded me of the blue hues you see when visiting an aquarium. It would be neat to see portraits taken in that kind of environment!
TRUE! might have to pull up
I've watched my fair share of photography youtube vids, and I gotta say these 8 minutes might be the most fire-packed, informative, and inspiring.
christopher..wow fam. thank you so much!!
bro that first reveal shot of Sean was buttery
thanks karl!!
I would genuinely love to see more Bangerz 12+ minutes of just straight Shots get deep into it!!
more on the WAY
that blue hour, plus blue water, & blue cinestill really produced some heavy blue background!
so stoked about how it came out!!
Love love love the fact that you put your settings on the bottom on the picture for some exposures. I know it’s your sauce, but sharing it with us truly means a lot. Thank you Linus ❤️🖤
i got you!!
Great portraits! Favorite at 5:55 with the amazing bokeh of the vehicle lights on the street. It's all there! 👍😎
thank you!! really stoked about that one too.
Something about the sound of the shutter button of the Pentax 6x7 when you snap a pic is so satisfying. Amazing video as always Linus!
the shutter gets me going
@@linusandhiscamera ayooooo 😏

So, I just found your channel 9 minutes ago. This video was so well produced, your creative eye is so nice, and your chill attitude while talking with us about your process made me subscribe. Time to binge watch!

Oh my lord. Those shots were super sick. Love getting to watch the behind the scenes of it all too.

kaavia gave such beautiful vibes to the shoot!! beautiful photos overall!!!
she's amazing!
@@linusandhiscamera she really is!! you can see from her poses that she is a pro!!
The contrast of scene to Artificial Lighting is super clean
thanks fam! agreed.
I love the second shoot dope transition with super 8 from one location to another 🙌🏾
when he does something right >
THIS IS AMAZING
thanks!!
Sick video... Love the addition of the orange light! So damn good.
thanks dude!!
@@linusandhiscamera
nice linus! you're the best!
thanks margo!!
All I want is blue hour for a WHOLE hour... not 20 minutes hahah
SO TRUE
5:17 such a clean transition 👌👌
thanks fam!
Great video and beautifully shot so congrats to Steve and you! I really liked the Cinestill images, great idea with using the portable light 👏
thank ya!!
Loved the photographs.
Does the Pentax have an internal light meter or are you metering beforehand with a light meter? I still struggle with that and so in awe how these all come out with little light!
Thank you for sharing!! Was so much fun! 🌊🎞
thanks for modeling sean
Ya went crazy on The speed round 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Oh that light is such a treasure.
thanks!
Sheesh some amazing results from that tiny LED man. Feel inspired to start using artificial light myself now!
yeah seriously!!
Great video and great portraits! Imo blue hour is so perfect for creative shots, especially by the sea!
thank you so much!!!
Is that Sean Hazen?! (there's a typo in his ig link, I think) Freakin LOVE his work!
thanks for catching the typo!! it is him!!
Really interesting.Cheers!
thanks trevor!!
These came out insane! I love these so much! Thank you for the inspiration!

thank you fam!!
Linus you never miss! 💯
hahaha. thank you!
Well that was groovy. Bravo.
thanks fam!!
loved the photos! Unrelated but I would also love to know where that bedspread is from!
target bedspread from years ago!! hahaha
you kill it everytime, linus!
thankyou!!
Love the video man, images look great.
thanks fam!
Sickkkk thanks for the inspo✨🤝
that shot at 4:46 is amazing!
thanks fam!!
Nice video editing and shooting !
thanks charlie!!
Very nice photos ✨ congrats for your work
thanks rodrigo!!
bruh, keep the vidz coming.
thankyou!
Really inspiring video. A real reminder to not get in my head and make something bigger than it needs to be, nor to find reasons not to do something. Just shoot the dang thing! As others mentioned, really like that little colored LED set up, better than carrying around gels. You killed those photos, and no don't discount your choice of models and locations.
thankyou so much!! had fun with all my friends on this one...how it should be every time
awesome video and great ideas for me to work with! what are you using for the artificial light ? thx
thanks! i put a link in my bio!
Would love to see a video that breaks down your developing process especially with the uniroller. I know you’ve brushed over it a few times but something more in depth would be awesome!
okay, i'll consider it!!
You stay killing it, Linus. I gotta get me a light like that
thanks brah!!
Such cool portraits man! Loving this light! 🔥
thank you!!
Dude loved this so much, what light is that?
Super cool Linus!!! Giving me mad ideas for some future shoots I’d like to do. Thanks!
get out there and shoot!!!
This dude is a genius
hahaha not quite, but thank you fam!!
i love this
thanks!!
Nice photos. Anyway what lens was on that camera? Cheers.
Great video. What’s the name of the portable artificial light device used in the first shoot?
link in bio! i used it in both shoots!
Here's the amazon link for it man. www.amazon.ca/Wireless-Remote-Uplight-Wedding-Blacklight/dp/B06XNT8ZLZ?fbclid=IwAR2D7wP6Pkv32T7CzLcuFycx-4QvwF3YhIAvm9zFE-XY918I4ihqLkHeh50
when trying to pickup motion in film, should you just lower the shutter?
yeah! helps to have your subject never leave the center of your frame (by tracking them)
I know you mentioned it before but where'd you get that LED light? I love it!
it's a generic DJ LED light a client gave me ages ago!!! no idea what the brand it tho...quite literally no text other than "MADE IN CHINA" on it lol
Reminded of Blue Nights by Joan Didion :o)
gotta check it out
Did you meter for shadows or the bright red spots in seans face and did you pushed the film?
metered for the bright spot!
Photo at 2:10 is really awesome! wow!
Next video could be about your frontier..😀
hmmmm....GOOD IDEA
I’d vote for motion related content :)
betski
SO inspiring! What's the LED light you were using?
thank you!! i added a link in the desciption under "my gear"
What kind of Light were you using?
And can you recommend it?
Im looking for something I can take with me, you know
Batteries included
i added a link in the description under "my gear". it's solid, gets quite a bit more battery life than i expected and doesn't need to be plugged in for use.
you pushing these at all in development or they just processed normally?
Can you make a video about how to finde the environments to shoot ?._.
i'll see what i can do!
What kinda portable led light is that? Because the one in the description isn’t the same as the video.
What did you use to meter the light? Just a phone app? Which app?
What film stock did you use for the super 8? 500T?
Question!! Where did you get the LED light from?!?!?!?
link in biooo
Beautiful
thank you so much!!
awesome
thanks fam
@@linusandhiscamera 3:03 is my fave too
What app are you using to meter the light in the beginning?
my light meter pro!!! it looks like an app from 2009 hahahaha
What is the led light you're using??
where is the light projector from?
how do you meter in those lights?
mylightmeterpro app just metering the hot points!
@@linusandhiscamera thanks a lot 💖 i love the shots and currently youre the most inspiring film youtuber (and also photographer in general). hope to see a more soon
What's the light called you were using?
link in bio! it's a pretty irregular light but i love it
How can you still shoot with light this low ? What was the aperture/shutter speed ?
800 iso film at f/2.8 and 1/60th...it's doable!
@@linusandhiscamera gotta try then
Linus i love u but that light ain't the same as the one in the link u gave us :(
Hey Linus! What is the light your using in this video called?
it's a generic moblie DJ light a client gave me ages ago..no branding. so i bet there's a company that sells the same one for big prices and this is from the same factory
Amazing work! Lomo 800 is by far my favourite film atm. Are these photos straight from the sp3000? Also, I'd love to see a video about your scan workflow 👀
yes they all are! i might have to do that
linus I wanna be like u when I grow up
no u dont!!!
The super 8 is MINTY!
ur minty
We’re you metering these? Or in camera meter? Just curious. Thanks
metered on my phone! all the photos shot during blue hour were shot at f/2.8 at 1/60th of a second. the ones at the more golden hour i didn't record but again - just metered on my phone (mylightmeterpro app)
@@linusandhiscamera whaaaaaat, I was considering picking up a sekonic light meter to help me with my own blue hour/night photo aspirations but I guess I'll have to check out mylightmeterpro first. Awesome video as always!
@@linusandhiscamera so you're taking a reading of the key light on his face? setting that as middle gray?
What’s the artificial light called, can I find something cheap?
Edit: nvm it’s on the description 😅
Edit: link doesn’t work… 🥲
The texture intro was moving
autoplay got you commenting on the wrong video huh 👀😂😂
@@linusandhiscamera negative. Poorly worded way to say the intro was sick 😂
I love the visual identity you built with it. It’s wild that a “tech review” can start off so stylishly
Amazong
thank you!!!
She bad
Perfect video for me I am totally addicted to those kind of videos thumbs up! If I was you I would employ P-R-O-M-O-S-M.
