I actually had this kind of problem most of the time on AMD cards since the owner usually mod the BIOS for better mining hashrate. Also that memory error also could be the memory voltage isn't high enough. Once i had GTX 1060 memory voltage about 1v and when i run mats all bank failed. Thanks for the video btw, idk this kind of problem also could be a dead BIOS on nvidia cards because usually i would pass this kind of repair.
If you get an error 43 but the GPU is still detected by device manager. But the resistance on the memory rail is 2 ohms this would indicate a problem with the Graphics memory at a hardware level and some or all the GDDR5 memory chips need to be replaced? GPU-Z gives on unknown BIOS as well as blank values for the memory clock speed and size. This is on a laptop with a 1060 and I believe the GPU and main system BIOS are in one BIOS/flash chip so if this chip is corrupt the laptop with not have even post? This laptop originally had a shorted mosfet for the VRM for the memory voltage. This caused the laptop not to turn. The memory voltage is present after removing the mosfet along with all the others.

It brings Windows to a halt with any newer drivers (anything newer than 46x.x). During driver install I usually get a black screen with garbled pixels. @@6690Blacky actually, I discovered two missing resistors on the very edge of the board. One was for the data pin on the INA3221. Pulled resistors out of an old broken pair of beats headphones and delicately soldered them onto the 1080ti and it works now!!! I put it in my son's computer and he's been enjoying it for months now👍
Hello dear friend, i am also repairing graphics cards, i learned a lot from you, but can you please help me how to solve one problem, it is so weard to me. I have gtx 1060 strix 6gb. The graphics can only work into Pcie x8 slot. When i try to boot when the graphics is into the pcie x16 it does not post at all, just hangs before post/freezes. When i put it into pciex8 works fine, i can play games all day, stress tested it does not have single problem. I hope you will guide me what can be the problem. I have a 970 that gives code 43, I have run MATS with no errors, I have flashed bios, I have tried DDU in safe mode and tried many drivers, still code 43. I had this card working for the entire day until I changed drivers, then I started getting minor artefact during windows boot and on one occasion black screen then minor artefact, today GPU wont work except display basic display. GPUZ reports no memory and readings but does report BIOS version and everything else. Any ideas?

Hi! My friend has an rtx 3060 and has artifacts even in the bios screen. I can install the nvidia drivers ok but it shows error code 43 on device manager. Do you think this is still repairable?
Yes, in my experience with 3070s, 3060 Tis, and 3060s that artifact, more than 4/5 are repairable.
@@TechCemetery what do you think the problem might be?
@@matthew1537 Memory
@@TechCemetery thank you for replying man! Hopefully your guide for the nvidia mod mats work for 3000series. Keep on making videos man! Thanks!

Hello, I just got for free a GTX 1080 from Gigabyte (Windforce OC 8GB).
and I just find out that there is a short on the PEX rail.
I read on the wiki that a shorted PEX line is like 95% of time a dead core.
Is it really dead or am I missing something ? Hope someone can help me with that bad boy.
Yes, a shorted PEX rail implies a dead core well over 95% of the time - I wrote that entry on the wiki.
@@TechCemetery Ah, I guess I'll have to keep it as a donor board then, also the 1.8v is shorted now.
Thanks for the quick reply, I really enjoy your video ! Keep it up

Hey, nice hair cut dude :)
Know anyone in Europe that fixes motherboards? I got a dead ASUS RIVBE i'm thinking of getting fixed.
Come by the discord and ask, I think some of the graphics card specialists also look at motherboards.
@@TechCemetery I don't use Discord.

I have an AMD Powercolor rx470 (red devil) with Error 43. I replaced the thermal paste and heated the card via heat gun then it works for 2 days. Then the error came back. Do you think the Bios chip is faulty? If yes, can i found a replacement? ( i dont have other cards with the same specs).
if you reheated the gpu nd it worked, its probably the soldering went bad, your best bet is another session of heatgun, as there is no permenant fix, its almost impossible to successfuly reball the BGA connectors
Plz slow dow when you talk
Use parsec. Not teamviewer. Waay better
It is peer to peer, not connected to any server for the stream.
