Right?? Who else would they have used?? But I guess they got rid of the Master Chief's actual voice actor, so they have precedent for doing dumb things.
@@matthewp5472 Steve downes would have done the voice if they asked but for some reason they chose Pablo.
I don’t know why. They have never said who auditioned. Two years ago they announced Pablo out of the blue and that was it.

Watching the Halo TV series made me think of a great quote of Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park : "You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves. Certainly in the running. That ending messed me up more than any video game I've ever played. Don't know how long or how many times I played it, being unable to process that I can't win, that all I'm doing is delaying my death.

No. Halo 1 & 2 were the only legendary games of the franchise, Halo 3 being the best of the new face-lift, ODST as a nice short, with Reach far behind, but still light years better than the trash that came after.
Idk how old are you but if you ever played Halo CE back in the 2001 you would never say that. The graphics, the narrative, the gameplay, it was so ahead of its time.
Great interview by Brandon, he asked some interesting questions, i found it fun that Natascha (Dr Halsey) rejected the premise of Brandon's question of Dr Halsey being a motherly figure to the spartans, and said that Halsey is not a motherly figure but an inventor, that is an actor who studied and knew the lore! Also interesting how Brandon boasts how much he loves the show, in stark contrast with the rest of the reviewers who say the show isn't on par with what Halo is. Cant wait to watch this.
The Spartans literally call her “mom” and a lot of them see her as their mother because their old lives and families were taken away. What the fuck are you even on about. You gotta be one of those 343 fanboys not a true halo fan

If you think that every time something halo comes out, that it should never tell a different story or change something, then you don’t understand art. I sure as hell don’t want every damn halo creation to become fucking Skyrim and be that same thing but with a few visual touches. Just let them make what they are making and if you can’t keep your nostalgia fix needs to yourself, then stop ruining this for everyone else.

Its weird cos I was listening to a song called Bette Davis Eyes... Kim Carnes... so I looked up Bette Davis and I saw a photo of her & it reminded me of Natascha McElhone. It reminded me of The Truman Show where Jim Carrey is looking through magazines to find the perfect eyes to make a picture of Natascha & I started to wonder if they picked her as an actress for that movie because she had Bette Davis Eyes?
I didn't care about halo and these people inspired me to care about it even less.
I looked into halo a bit and it's an incredible epic of humble service and hope in a moral spirit shared among all beings.
I looked into the show and saw an ass in my face immediately.

It's about bloody time. I've been watching the snippet films for years, and quite frankly thought it just wasn't good enough. In fact I've told my son on several occasions, "Why don't they just make a capture CGI part to go between all the cut scenes in the snippet movies?". His response is always "Their doing pretty good considering their splicing a bunch of FPS scenes together and making it at least make some sense as a story." Frankly, BS. Don't get me wrong, I like watching people play the game, and while they are doing it the line they decide to take makes sense, but this version of making a regular series based on the game is a whole lot more fun for us non FPS people that like what they see but just want it to make sense. IT BLEW ME AWAY!!! So far all the characters are very clear and relatable. I know there will be gamers who hate it, but for those of us who like the story line of the game but can't play, this just makes it so much better for us. Thank You for finally doing and taking the next logical step.

If he shaves his head it would be more accurate to the character, as Masterchief is bald. Only know that through playing the video games and got to see part of chief in Halo 4. Don't know if he's beardless or if he has a beard.
@3:08 on - on point. Irritating to see fanboys talking like Chief is in a Mandalorian cult. We see Spartans taking their helmet off often (when they aren't in combat). So it isn't an issue at all to see Chief take his helmet off here as why wouldn't he?

WTF, Both Keyes father and daughter are great actors, love to see them but why black-washing? Just keep the damn characters as they were, enjoyable show but really needs to stay on line. That Keyes admiral should've been Sgt. Johnson, less serious character but he would receive A LOT of love. Also a well suited gray-haired bad ass Keyes admiral. Who comes up with this "on agenda" casts?

This is completely bs. Chief does have a personality. He does have character. You are not supposed to project your own self onto him. He is who he is. You can emphasize with him. People have connected with him over 6 games and he has not taken his helmet off.

Exactly. While Chief was designed to be a self insert for the player to some extent, he definitely has a personality. It's just more subtle. He could easily work in a TV show while keeping the helmet on

Here’s a deal for the haters in the lovers. First of all I love Pablo.I realize that this show is going to have to be a TV show of some sort to get people to draw in. The main issue and focus is it Hass to have every single element that was involved during the entire video game series. So far episode one did not disappoint. But I am talking every single weapon that the Spartans use the covenant uses that the brute uses every single ship every single warthog every single arbiter every single thing that they used to be a game Hass to be implemented in the show or it will fail. If they do all that I think this show will be a huge success.

Watching the show makes me want to play the games. What turns me off is the damn Halo gamers that whine about almost everything. It makes me think that the Halo gamer fans are just the teenager versions of Fortnite kids.

Kiki has always been a boss IMO. She does the difficult work. To her point, Chief is slightly different in every game title thus far. It’s not a big stretch to see another iteration of that in this show. They can exist together. I think people need to relax a bit and enjoy the ride without evaluating every bend and turn.
