To be fair, this is so cool. Stuff like this is the future of gaming, there's just so much potential.
Michael Western reminds me so much of SAO , and the potential that has to actually become reality
Yeah, it's interesting and all, and is fun for the casual gamer, but this is not the future of gaming in any way shape or form... only a casual adventure, nothing more.
this is only good for space and mecha games, things you control from a cockpit, decent, affordable vr for other types of games is still miles off and will probably look a good bit different
It's also good for flight and car sims, genres which already have great peripherals available. VR has the potential to take quite a few genres of games and sims to the next level. I personally plan to get a full cockpit setup within the next year and playing the hell out of some car sims.
It's also great for shooters. Look at a game like Onward - it feels like playing paintball or something, seriously fun.

With the standard space bar to jump/ascend and shift or control for crouch/descend.
When you´re captain of the Enterprise:

Dreamy LPS this isn't the next generation also he's not number 2. So he has no reason to wear a red shirt. And his minecraft character is based of William William T. Riker.

That would actually be a really good idea. After all, Ubisoft is all about "removing social barriers" (hence the non-VR update,) so they might as wel rope in the PVP audience.
l don't care, though, I'm poor and have no friends, so any change here really doesn't affect me.

Can't believe Lewis isn't wearing red. And it's even inconsistent, on the thumbnail it's blue, but irl and ingame it's yellow.
It's Gold ingame, as he is in command. However on later (all be it a different universe) command colours are changed to Red (TNG onward). So as Xephos was command in a TNG uniform it means that in this alternate universe he would be wearing Gold.

The potential that VR technology has is unreal!! I can't wait to see how it develops over the next 5-10 years! Maybe a game like this could eventually be a fully open world (Universe) game. Where you can fly your ship and battle on the ground, fully immersed in the story!

In the original Bridge I like how Duncan has the button tooltips on for a moment and he then just disables it and complaints that he doesn't know what to do.
