I played the hell out of this game on Wii when I was in elementary school. I would draw comics about it, I loved this game. I could not for the life of me beat the last level though.
To anyone wondering why the aesthetic looks familiar... The studio that did the original World of Goo partnered with the studio that did Little Inferno; Tomorrow Corporation. They have such a unique art and story-telling style, that's hard not to love.
I remember in the first game there being the theme that goo-balls would sacrifice themselves to get their siblings to the end. It was such a bittersweet thing to see as a child. Grateful of course.

I loved the first game but 30 bucks for only around 6 hours of content with some levels that are *very* similar to those in the first game seems a bit steep :(
members only playthroughs are a dream. He talked about doing a rimworld playthrough months ago for members only and look where that is... To even get him to acknowledge his members only stuff you have to dono while he's streaming...
Yikes, naming achievements and gameplay as "OCD" is pretty rotten. The first game is more understandable being a product of its time, but this is pretty crappy. 100% not buying. It'd be nice if this was something the devs would consider changing.

I suspect they are coming from the perspective that ableist terms like that (OCD, psycho, etc) can be offensive; generally because its like taking an actual medical condition people have and making light of it, or in some cases just using the term inaccurately. I get where they are coming from I think, but I also think its a bit of a knee jerk response here and a bit nitpicky. Like, I get it, but it's such a minor thing in this context. It's not like this game is trying to make a statement or a whole 'thing' out of it or anything.

This is why the art style in Tomorrow Corp games looks like the style in World of Goo, because it is the art style of World of Goo
The original one has such amazing music and i'm glad they're doing a pretty good job with the new as well.
