The Impossible choice :
1) Save the stranded ship but violate treaty with the Klingon
2) Leave the stranded ship to be destroyed by the Klingon
The Yogscast answer : violate the treaty AND destroy the stranded ship.
The Yogscast garantee.
Or be like Kirk reprogram the simulation so you can hail the klingons and negotiate a compromise that allows you to save the ship.
Or be like New Kirk and reprogram the simulation so that the klingons explode, VACbanning you instantly

This has such potential - imagine going on a day-trip with your mates, but instead of going to play paintball, you get to crew the bridge of spaceships and go on various missions! Or whatever else they can come up with. Day-trip VR seems far more accessible and local-multiplayer would only add to the fun. Someone get on it!
this is a game releasing march 30th. it will have a full story driven campaign and as soon as you finished that, it will have a "mission generator" as well. Really awesome game. Only problem: You and your friends need a VR headset :D But the psvr works as well and psvr and pc have crossplay so that should help
VR acrades already exist but the point in vr is basically to be able to do all that at home. Dont forget this ia just one of thousands of possibilities to do awesome stuff. VR just started, the next years will be awesome im sure.

This is my favorite Star Trek series, and my favorite episode has to be either when Sjin falls in love with a sexbot, or when Turps accidentally transports Lewis on a klingon ship, WHILE Lewis was taking a shower.
Spoiler alert though, in the end they find out they were kicked out of starfleet years ago and they're just hijacking a ship this whole time.
Lewis: Now we need to scan plasma coolant C, do you know where that is?
Sjin: Okay. It's that way. *points vaguely at the endless vacuum of space*

but considering its the Kobayashi Maru, they did pretty well to not get blown to bits, 6 survivors beamed aboard and they escaped, for the yogscast thats a victory by their standards.
It'd be interesting to determine how they'd be evaluated by Starfleet for that. Reading up on how all the other TOS characters handled the simulation in their own ways is really quite fascinating.

The mix up of Port and Starboard is slowly but surely triggering me. Starboard = the old English Steorbord, referring to the side the ship was steered. This was to the right hand side. Because of this it was more convenient to demount the ship on the other side, the left, hence why it's called Port (it was the side facing the Port).
Vaas Montenegro slowly but surely triggering lmao... that wss awesome...
Or for simpletons: port and left both have 4 letters.

i like the new movies, and the original series is pretty funny for it's cheese. other than that i only saw the next generation and wasn't a big fan.
AP P DS9 is a lot more combat oriented right? I've gotta say that did always seem appealing. TNG was just too passive for my liking
If you want combat watch the Enterprise one. It is like early version of ST where humans act more like you aka rage and kill and other fuckery. Vulcan is only reasonable person in the entire crew, rest are animals. But regardless true Star Trek is like TNG. Star Trek 4th movie is the best movie in the entire series I'd say as it isn't some dumb (simple) Star Wars and stays true to what Star Trek is all about.

If you are referring to Lewis' Riker skin, then no, he is not. Will Riker is a character from ST:TNG, whilst this game is based on the reboot movies, which are (if I recall correctly) pre-ST:TOS (essentially, two different time periods in separate timelines). Also, wrong uniform.
No turps is in a starfleet command uniform. lewis' minecraft skin is also a starfleet command uniform.
coliedug Actually, he isn't. In the reboot movies (and TOS for that matter) red uniforms are worn by engineering and security personel. In TNG red uniforms are for command/tactical, but that's 100 - 150 years later (in-universe time). In the reboot movies and TOS (and ST:ENT, come to think of it) command uniforms are gold.

Sjin is such a twat! its brilliant, i would of set my phaser to maximum stun and removed him from his station tho lol. i would of had Dr McCoy come in and relieve him from active duty on medical grounds, due to a sadistic passion to needlessly fire all the torpedo's lol

The alternatives are steering (he really would ram the other ship), engineering (he'd pull power as a prank periodically)... So captain... Yeah, somehow I think he'd be just as mischievous there.

space games really are the future of VR, you won't have to move much beyond the cockpit and it is all about twiddling things in a small space. strike suit zero would be so damn cool with vr support.

Whoever was in charge of the transporters should have realised that the ship had 5 transporter rooms so they could have transported 30 at a time instead of 6

While he was still in the hospital, someone said Simon kind of lost the heart to play games on the channel and is progressing through life or something after he recovered from the hospital.
cakand he suffers from depression for a long time and over the last couple years it has gotten a lot worse, so he doesn't want to/ feel like playing games on the channel. Which is why he was doing that stuff on the mobile channel, it was less intense.

When Simon was still in the hospital, someone said he lost the passion to play games and is doing his own thing after he recovered from the hospital or something. That is why he isn't in a lot of videos nowadays.
That was last year, Lewis said recently hes fine and had a tummy ache or somethingk and was top 10 playing somethingk or other.

I had a really shitty day at work and this is given me 30 mins of laughter. You guys are awesome.
Man, if you consider that only a few years back, people had to PRETEND they were doing any of this. Now, with VR, they can actually BE a Star Fleet crewmember.
I wonder if there's more to this VR thing, and hope that, if so, the guys will consider playing more of it and film it.
Because, let's be honest, this was DOPE AF.
