- Using a Clark synthesis transducer to add some oomf to my drum throne. Using the Clark Synthesis Platinum transducer a Rolls PM50se personal mixer and an amplifier that accepts a 1/4” input. Let me know if you have questions in the comments.
Nice video, very informative. Keep rocking 🤙
Thanks!
I did this with full mix going into it and I had low freq bass in my spine. It was glorious
So you use this same transducer?
I have the clark synthesis ts239 silver which is only 350usd. The sillver has 75-100w powe handling capacity at 4ohms because it responds down to 15 hertz. The platinun version can take continuous 135 as it can go down to infra bass at 5hz. This is og course in a musical and live application very redundant. No normal instumentation within rythm really needs such low frequencies m, this is for movie applications rather. So for you out there looking to get ha howard stern moment on the throne can make do splendidly with the silver. Itll save initial investment and you wont have to lug around unnecessary big amps etc. So to summarise, I have the entry level and it does a splendid job.
Wow, I'm tired now
That boring huh? 😆
no demo?
It’s kinda hard to demo over a video 😅. You just feel it so it wouldn’t look like anything to the viewer.
@@DavidAskvig so how is it? with vs without the buttkicker? and btw what do you mean xlr from the kick? What if you have an edrum how to you separate the kick signal to input to your amp?
@@trevorbelmont4633 adding the transducer makes it feel like you have a subwoofer. It would be great for an electric kit for sure. Just see if you can find a way to route the kick line through an amp.
Cheaper than buying a porter Davies throne?!
It's a good question. If you buy everything new, probably not a ton cheaper. But I got the transducer for like $300 with a warehouse buy, the amplifer was like $20 on a classified ad, the Rolls mixer we already had at the church, and the wire and attachment to the throne I made or already had. So if you are handy and can find good deals, you can get it for much much cheaper. But if you're just going to buy everything new... well perhaps it's not worth it.
