@@gageboysgarage6059 they’re actually kind of perfect for Michigan trails because nothing around here is very hard. And they definitely have the cool factor.
we all need to band together to organize and create a 4wd association to protect and purchase and develop lands for offroad trail riding. the last few mediocre public trails around me in wisconsin just got blocked by the county after our local jeep group went through it. now all we have left are private land or gravel roads.

Under this constitutional guarantee one may, therefore, under normal conditions, travel at his inclination along the public highways or in public places, and while conducting himselfin an orderly and decent manner, neither interfering with nor disturbing another’s rights, he will be protected, not only in his person, but in his safe conduct.”
Not defending their actions but when I was there a couple months ago, there was a tiny little sign that said “stay on trail” and the trail leads to this open looking camping spot 100’ from the waters edge. Based on the sign placement and the open trail leading to this camping spot, one would wrongly assume it’s still open for parking and camping. Who knows, after the actions of an island excavator, a tourism group masquerading as an off road club, and the DNR funding of the “smoothing project”, who’s to say some of these vague sign placements are not intentionally misleading people so they have an excuse to make more money and shut down more of the island. 🤷♂️
A lot of the signage is old. We did a signage project with tread lightly last fall. The spot where they are at is on the hard 90 degree corner heading east before sitgreaves bay. Not sure where you are talking about. Either way, the only shoreline section that can be driven on legally is the stretch by plywood camp. Other then that no access is allowed
Love the old Willys! Would like to get one someday.
thanks for watching! highly recommend a willy’s

Some excavator on the island made a lot of money off of making these trails Prius Capable.
seriously!!
unreal trip~till next time!Gage-:))
I believe that they are making it more accessible for sidexside vehicles since theres more revenue to be made from them compared to jeeps.
i don’t care why, i only care that they destroyed the nature up there for no good reason
Can't believe they did that still!
it is ridiculous
I'm shocked that suspension couldn't hold up to 37s.
lmao we will have it back together soon

I am so pissed about what’s happening on the island. It’s the only real place to wheel in Michigan.

Where you camped is also off limits to wheeled vehicles.

Yeah there is a sign there, plain as day. Stay on trail
