Tom you have been my tutor for the last couple of days. I have had this tutorial playing on my laptop whist listening to you through my headphones and playing the Met line on my p.c, and I can say I made it to Algate without getting tripcocked lol. Awesome route lads with very challenging scenarios, thanks very much.
Thanks for the kind words 😀
Hopefully I’ll be getting this route soon, along with the S7/8 stocks.
I’ll be able to use the Virtual District Line too after getting this. Both routes looks amazing!
OH MAN !!!! at last I have found it !! this tunnel section was a pain for me... I already thought this map is broken lol. Thank u so much for guide
I finally got this route! I’ve only played a bit but I’m really enjoying it! It doesn’t even lag that badly (but then again, I haven’t even driven all the way to Baker Street) :)
Thanks a lot for the video! There's one thing I didn't actually understand - what should I do if I 'miss' one of these approach control signals and it is stuck on red? I managed to pass one between Chalfont & Latimer and Amersham by requesting pass at danger, but when I tried to do the same between Finchley Road and Baker Street it didn't work: I got an approval, but then the 'pass at danger' signal tripped all the same! I noticed you actually left the train when you missed one at Baker Street. Why? What do you have to do specifically in order to pass such 'frozen at red' signals?
It all makes sense now.....
this looks like a really challenging route and if you don't have route knowledge, almost impossible to do correctly
Thats why we are making these walk through guides. Once you have run the route a few times it will come commmon knowledge
I have just spent about 15 attempts to get from Finchley Rd to Baker street. I managed it eventually but pure luck. How do we know what speed to approach which signals? Thanks for the tutorial which does explain what I am doing wrong!
How do I improve FPS? Mine is a little laggy and not as smooth as the gameplay on this video.
But how I know, at what signal which aproach speed is needed. Is this part of route knowledge? And for example, why is there a 45mile/h section, but in fact of following approach signal it makes no sense to speed up to 45m/h ?
I think in the manual it suggests most are at
Can you add this scenario in the next met line update
I think the Baker Street signal MB260 is broken because it didn't work for me either, there's also another 30 mph Approach Control signal between Croxley and moor Park South bound but that's the only one outside the tunnel sections I think
how do you get the tunnels so dark
When I use my S8 and leave aldgate I get as far as moorgate and the power goes down and i can't start the train up again is there a bug in the game or am I doing something wrong? Please help
Nope, I had this, there is a signal halfway across the station that is probably red, and that trips the train out.
There is a process to restart the train, it is in the manual (in manuals folder in install location)
I recommend either slapping this on your phone/tablet or print it out as there is a lot of stuff to know
How can u run this sim so smoothly? I got so much stutters during the ride, and its even worse when another train coming up
Great video, I will be getting the Metropolitan Line this Friday, I'm gonna want to get full use of everything, what packs/advanced add ons should I order/download and what order should I install them please ?
The packs you order are totally upto you at the end of the day and on personal preference. Installation wise you can install these in any order you like :) Glad you enjoyed and enjoy the purchase on friday ! :)
Metropolitan Line S8 Tube Stock
Do the ATO start buttons in the cab actually do anything?
not functional
Train Sim TV Aww man, it would be cool is TS had the ability to use ATO
How did you remember all of this!!
How do I make the tunnels pitch black? When I compare to your video your tunnels look a lot darker inside :)
Kieran Harvey he probably lowered the ambient light intensity
gamer_110 tried that man didn’t make much difference I think it’s the same as mine just I hAd my screen brightness down while watching turn it up looks exactly the same. Would be pretty cool if a patch was available to make it completely pitch black 😈
hi , i have a problem with this line , i have 14 fps while with the other maps i have 60 fps , in full graphics setting , do you know how to fix this thx
PS - beautiful video continue please x)
This is mainly down to the sheer intensity of the route. The s stock is a very demanding train also on systems
Were abouts is bakers street(heading towards Uxbridge) in this video?
This video only focuses on the tunnel section of the route
Train Sim TV tunnel section being what, aldgateto Finchley Road?
@@andypardy3212 yes being that was what the video features. Also hence the title....
Why didn't u just do a long route from aldgate to Chesham
Because this video features the tunnel signalling..
@@TrainSim_TV How do you know what speed to approach them at ?
Do you know how to make the announcements work?
Sadly not
@@TrainSim_TV worked it out. It has to be in career mode and you need all the requirements on Alan Thompson the S7+1 and S8 and the weather enhancement on Armstrong powerhouse
FML Tom! This is against the creator of the signalling, not the vid... Now when driving all I cam hear is Bruce Forsyth saying "And at the next signal you can be 4.4miles Under but not 0.001 mph over.... What about the next signal audience? Will the speed limit be HIGHER or LOWER than the LAST" 😂🤣
🤣🤣🤣
